Dear whiners and crybabies,

Every new TWD season I come back here. Every time I check in because I ended up loving the game. Every time I come back here expecting to find some mutual love for these games, and still EVERY TIME I'm surprised.

I'm enjoying the third season. I liked Kenny. I also liked Jane. Both of their deaths were meaningless... AND THAT'S GOD DAMN GOOD! That's depressing. It's SUPPOSED to be depressing.

I would have preferred if Clem was still the protagonist. I'm okay with the fact that she's not. I'm very glad that she's still here, and am actually kinda glad to see her as a main support character... because now I'm god damn PRAYING that she isn't killed off... like in episode 4... that really seems possible... and if it happens I'll cry manly tears of manliness. PLEASE DON'T DO THAT TO ME TELLTALE! I really like the new characters too.

Sorry, ranting, obviously I'm enjoying season 3. Sorry that so many of you aren't... but again I think back to both seasons 1 and 2 and remember... the people here just whine and rage and cry about every god damn thing.

I hope I'm not in the minority in the real world on this, as I'd very much love for Telltale to continue making these stories.

    Oh geez, another safe-zone thread...

I would rather have those "Kenny vs Jane" or "Lee coming back" topics now...

  • Lee is coming back you'll see

Oh good, another thread without a argument to attempt to support its name calling.

  • It's probably that they hate the flashbacks and the hate for the flashbacks turns into hate for the whole season, even though the rest of the game is excellent.

But I don't know, I don't want to assume what someone thinks. IMO the season is excellent and the flashbacks could definitely be better, but they're far from the worst. I actually quite liked them as well, but there's no doubt they're the weakest point of the season.

One of many main reasons/example are the flashbacks why people don't like this season, there are many more... people are not that one-dimensional.

You did notice other things that are just... plain wrong this season right?

  • There is nothing excellent about the season. It's good, yeah sure, but it has a load of problems not related to the flashbacks in the slightest.

Excellency implies a lack of any faults, which is far from the case.

Honestly what's with the radical exaggeration in this forum? Can't something be pretty good anymore? It's either compeltely horrible or a work of art for people.

Should I have to feel name called personally to stand up to it? :)

  • Nah man we are wrong...

We've been given S1 that won so many game-awards for it's story and choice making.

Obviously we should be expecting less when this game's story is progressing further...

  • You're blaming the effect rather than the cause.

Had telltale not treated their veteran fans like shit, the "whining" wouldn't be happening. You're getting annoyed at the wrong group.

We should never expect anything but the best. That's our job as consumers, and the developers should rightfully hear for it when they fail the expectaitons, at least in a case such as this where they blew it up with lies and misleading marketing.

I've been here since season 1. I don't feel mistreated.

  • I Miss the hubs with several chances to talk to people and i also miss when there was alot of moments of peace so that we could connect to alot of the characters but a new frontier just focuses on the plot instead of taking a breather.

  • To hell with Safe Zones.

What are you confused about? What are Safe zones or the other part of the sentence?

  • So I'm not allowed to voice my opinion? Not allowed to HELP Telltale improve and learn from their mistakes? What if Telltale makes Clem determinant in S3's finale and then gets killed off within 5 minutes at the start of S4 in the most shitty way possible? What if Telltale starts making episodes 30 minutes long and as a result, you pay $25 for a 2 hour 30 minute game? Even if Telltale does all of that, I'm still pretty sure you'll still support them.

  • This thread isn't a safe zone. Safe zones can go die in a fire.

  • Speak for yourself. Even if you don't feel mistreated, the Jane and Kenny endings were just embarrassing, cheap and lazy.

I get paid $8 and hour. Game costs $25. I didn't work over three hours just to see Jane for 3 minutes.

  • Just saying that I have been here long enough to be a veteran and I love The Walking Dead by Telltale as much as any fan.

And I don't even feel treated like shit.

There's nothing wrong with critizing the game, even if it seems excessive at times. The way they handled the flashbacks disregarded the player's ending and represent the issues that are becoming more and more obvious with this series in particular. People have a right to be angered.

I don't agree with every criticism. I'm trying to glean as much enjoyment possible from this game, and I do think that it's good so far. It has its issues, and I fucking hate the flashbacks with a burning passion, but I think it's alright. I don't feel that being angered at Telltale's actions warrants a person to be name-called. The majority of the criticisms avoid personal attacks and are valid. Of course there are outliers.

Sorry guy, still not making a lot of sense to me.

I'm not blaming anybody for not liking what I like. I'm genuinely expressing my surprise... that I shouldn't have anymore since I keep coming back here, but in any case... my surprise at finding so many fans here acting like Telltale kidnapped their puppy and beat it with a stick.

I'm not saying some things couldn't be handled better, or that anybody else who doesn't like the games is "wrong" but, christ the way some people rage over it is just baffling to m. My enjoyment of the games makes this doubly confusing every time.
