Are Kenny's flashbacks more recent than Jane's ?
Maybe obvious, but I saw that in the Kenny flashback, AJ is a full grown baby, implying that almost two years has passed. While in Jane's version, he's still a toddler, meaning only a few weeks/months have passed. Knowing two years happened since season 2, how old is Kenny's flashback during A New Frontier? Few weeks, months?
That also, even if it's determinate, could put Kenny as Clem's longest companion, surpassing even Christa.
Clem's companions/ time spend with
-Kenny ≈ 27 months
-Christa ≈ 24 months
-Omid ≈ 8 months
-Lee ≈ 3-4 months
-Luke ≈ Few weeks
Seeing that, I can understand why many people are upset over how Kenny died. Do you also hope/think we're gonna see/hear more about Kenny/Jane or were the 5 min flashbacks are the only thing we're gonna get?

Damn right. None of Jane flashbacks/endings made sense. She was never important for Season 3 because she only had 3 episodes appearance in Season 2. Being stabbed is better than commiting suicide.
What do you mean her endings didn't make sense?
And I don't think we should base how much right characters have to be in the story off of how many episodes they've been in..
I think hes saying all her endings didnt feel very well done. Im mixed on jane (prefer her to kenny) and the fact kenny murdering her is the best ending she gets story wise is pretty dreadful
I mean her endings are either
getting stabbed in which the aftermath basically potrays her as a monster who his the baby. (the aftermath of kenny dying is a much better scene)
She gets left by clementine who cant forgive jane for what she did which ive never bought jane just letting clementine leave her
She kills herself after realising shes pregnant with lukes baby. This is stupid enough and goes against her character arc and development completely. However the fact she lets herself turn, leaves no note and the rushed nature of the scene makes it even worse
Basically all janes endings are pretty crap and I mean that to her fanbase, for one of the bigger characters in season 2 she got severa rushed terrible death scenes
Simple. Here is why:
As those endings aren't cannon does it matter?
Technically, he's a toddler in Kenny's flashback and an infant in Jane's. Just FYI.
Clem's? You mean the alone one?
Well, I hope that they had at least some happiness in these 27 months. I realy want other flashbacks and the more positive they are, the better.
I was about to point that out, too.
I would say just about twenty months.
Accurate.
Accurate.
Accurate.
Luke was never her caretaker, though.
My estimation on Jane.
Crap, I meant to say Jane.
Well I mean, I think its not even people are upset because Kenny died, its because Kenny died in a "Wear your seat-belt PSA"
Also yeah it is kinda weird how they made Jane's flashback so shortly after season 2. Because then the next flashback is like 2 years later.
Ah, that makes sense.
Yeah, I thought about that as well. Though she could totally stalk her if she really wanted to.
That was a question I had during the backstory generator: Why is Luke being specified when wasn't really a caretaker and in fact didn't get much time alone with Clementine?
As someone who hated Jane, the fact that her presence over Clementine only lasted a few weeks is either really funny or really sad.
I hated Jane so much but I felt bad for people who chose to stay with her. That's not the death I wished for her to have.
Speaking of Story Generator, it would be great if you checked out this thread!
Me neither. The funny thing is that what happened was actually pretty predictable of not only her archetypes but her character if you really thought about certain things and a few of the things they touch on but rush through were actually ideas I had as to how you could develop and possibly "redeem" her character.
Thanks!
I stayed with Jane and liked her character a lot. But after seeing how bad the endings were handled, I made a whole new save file with the alone ending.
I never actually thought Jane's flashbacks would be so bad. They're worse than Kenny's, that's for sure
I don't know. It's like picking the shiny shit of two shits. I feel like the Kenny ending was worse, though..
Survived four years in the apoc just to die because you flew from a car's windshield. Jane's made more sense and was actually interesting since she killed herself due to the consequences of her actions. I just feel like the backstory for her death was more interesting and saddening than flying through a windshield.
But man, now that I really think about it, Clem's gonna blame herself for his death for the rest of her life. My heart...
