Did they get rid of the rewind feature?

Topic. I can't find it anywhere and I could really use it in a few instances.

  • It's not in Batman either.

  • Hmm didn't know that since I haven't played it yet. Wonder why they did that.

  • They got a rid of a lot of things the fans loved. No reason though, they just got lazy.

I can't tell if they're lazy, or if they're incredibly misinformed about what their fans want

like, misinformed to a comical level

it wouldn't be the first time I've seen a developer lacking self-awareness when it came to their fanbase

  • It's going that direction, but I really hope Telltale gets back on track.

  • I'm like 100% sure it's laziness. Had they been misinformed then they would have been misinformed on 20+ things and so thats's impossible. Also they had plenty Batman fans already saying they wanted rewind. They're just lazy.

  • Seems more likely it was made on purpose rather than a misguided decision. Probably made on the assumption that people won't care much if they play each release in one sitting. Might explain why the episodes are short.

They also probably want you to stick to your guns. Which, from the player perspective, can be annoying when you don't have enough time to read all options or you hit one that doesn't have the outcome you expected it to. Doesn't bother me much on paper but makes me frown when I come across 'Tell him off" options.

Can kinda be fixed with accurate lines in tune with your choice and granting sufficient timer on decisions.

But the option being there would have been nice.

  • How are you a mod?

"The devs were lazy" always tells me someone doesn't know how developing professional games actually works.

  • It'd be nice to have it back. Telltale, please. :(

  • "After taking fan criticisms into consideration, we are proud to announce the removal of the rewind feature and produce shorter episodes in all our future games. Merry Christmas!"

  • Ohoho, you have no idea, buddy

Game devs cut corners a hell of a lot more than you'd expect. It's just that some of them are better at hiding it than others.

  • Seems like it. Could explain why the episodes are so short though.

  • You mean to choosing chapters ?

I don't recall any rewind on PC ....

  • Batman didn't have rewind feature and the episodes were long

Seems like it. Could explain why the episodes are so short though.

  • Can't confirm it since I didn't play it but I'll believe you. Maybe they could update both games with this option in the future? Is it probable?
