TellTale, this is just NOT working...
I know there are tons of threads in this section, containing your review of S3 so far, so here's mine. Well, TellTale DID screw s3 up. I knew they will end up doing something stupid with Clem in s3.
I just hate the fact that even though I'm playing the THIRD season of the game that made me cry, I feel like this is a completely new series of TTG. I also hate the fact that telltale lied that we'll be playing as Clem in s3 because we have hardly played as clem as 10 minutes, that too in Flashbacks, where choices dont matter much.
I like Javi's story, yes, but hate the fact that his story is taking over the whole season and giving the actual lead charecter, clem, a side role. 2eps are done and i think they're enough to give us an idea of clem's role in s3. I wish ttg had released Javi's story instead of Michonne and made s3 an ACTUAL continuation of Clem's story where our choices mattered to decide HER fate.
This just isnt working, telltale, this isnt working. I seriously hate calling this game a season3 of Clementine's story. I know ttg wanted to have new players start from s3 first time, but they could have pulled it off better. I can also assure myself and all others, NONE of our choices in s1 or s2 have had a major or mid-major impact on this so called s3.
Clem IS the walking dead, telltale has failed miserably to understand that...
New players may like Javi, but that doesnt mean ttg stops caring of old players' wishes. We WANT clementine's story, we dont want 2-3minutes flashback sequences of clem's story, we WANT to tailor HER story in wd!
I hope ttg manages in ep3, ep4 and ep5 to save themselves from losing a lot of fans who'd never play next seasons (if any)... I also hope that S4 shifts the focus back in clem and doesnt continue Javi's story. I want that guy's story finished off along with s3 so that s4 and the walking dead game is all about Clem once again.

EDIT: And where the hell are lilly and christa? This proves ttg doesnt care what happened in s1 and s2, they are just focussing on Javi's story, at least thats what it looks like in ep1 and ep2. I hope they are just setting up the base for continuing clem's story as it was before...
I hope ep3 is better than ep2, i didnt really like ep2, ep1 was ok...

me too, i felt like clem started slowly losing emotion (almost becoming like jane) while i think Javi has a really nice personality, that fits in the story better (about his brother and all) clem lost everything there wouldnt be anything to play. plus shes a teenager so we know how the choices would look like already. btw not a new player, just to clear that up.
Agreed. But I'm satisfied that She's still here instead of removing her completely. I don't mind playing as Javier as long as we get to talk/interact to Clem. Also I think she will have a major part in the story in the coming episodes.

I'd have preferred to have Clementine be the protagonist again, to be honest, but S3 is really good so far.

I still think season 3's biggest flaw is having Clementine in it. It should have been Javi only.
-People are biased towards Clem
-Clem brought those horrible flashbacks with her
-The episodes are already short. So Clem is taking away that time from the actual main character (or new characters)
There are more reasons, but I can't write the same reasons all over the time lol
Other choices:
Javier only in Season 3 - Clem gets mini DLC for her own story
Clementine only in Season 3 - Javier gets mini DLC
But yeah It's already done. So we can't change anything
Wds1 and s2 players sure as hell didnt wait 2 damn years to play THIS s3

Threads like this make me glad they are shifting the focus away from Clementine. People need to start cutting the strings at some point.
Javi gets a side story and Clem gets Season 3 as predicted. We followed her story for the last 2 games and it's not over yet, so I want to play as her, thank you very much.
I hate to agree with this but I have to. The game is more about her story and her survival than just "the walking dead."

in new characters its season 3 means continuation not a reboot and not a cross
over story a continuation to season 1 and 2 so it should have been a continuation
with clementine as the big focus so at best this should not even be a season 3 but
a spin off or a cross over story that is telltales biggest flaw trying to make this
as season 3 when it has nothing or no meaning to be called a season 3 cause
season 3 would of continued with clem and not what they did this is not really
continuing clems story or following the first 2 seasons storyline there fore is
a spin off or crossover not season 3 we waited 2 years and this is the best they
can come up with what a joke this has no connection to season 1 or 2 there for

Well tbh, I kinda like playing as Javi, as I play the "cool uncle" role with Clem too.
I only wish there would be dual protagonism like in the Borderlands game, then I'd be good with the season (except losing Kenny. I was wondering before release that how funny Kenny will react to a mexican guy since the urban scene lol.)
