Is a New Frontier actually Season 3?
The previous two seasons have been about Clementines story and suddenly Telltale have introduced a new set of characters in their next instalment in the series yet the steam page doesn't mention anything about this being the next chapter in Clems story (like it does on the season 2 steam page) apart from one sentence about Javi meeting her, I believe that this is similar to the Michonne series except Clementine will make apperances throughout, all the youtubers have jumped the gun and assumed it is season 3 and correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't found any clarification of that from telltale. However if this is season 3 I hope Telltale do a mini series or a dlc episode of what happened to Clem in her 3 year absence.

Yes it is. Clementine is a main and playable character (in only flashbacks in the first two episodes). Telltale has clarified it, the title has literal and symbolic meaning in the game and also is meant to make it more welcoming for newcomers.

Yes, New Frontier is season 3 of their walking dead series. They just gave the season a title.
