What is so harsh about it guys ! Atleast you guys can give them a chance. The way I see it that you are just complaining .we have also played season 1 and 2 we have enjoyed it but you guys should know that it takes a lot of hardwork to complete one season please atleast appreciate thier determination guys !!! If you will show your support hope they can come back stronger in ep 3 and stop creating these types of thread like Telltale this is just not working .
.. what is this guys . If you again see mee as the one that posts harsh comments then that is your problem but believe me or not this is not the right way of expressing your views!!!
Neither is this the Walking Rick yet the comics and TV show has focused on Rick Grimes and company for years. So I can get where some folks are coming from. Maybe next year the entire focus from the comics and show should just follow the life of Terry the teller from Memphis after the apocalypse and have Rick be barely a supporting character. That would ruffle the feathers of the TV and comic fans up pretty good I bet.
I also hate the fact that telltale lied that we'll be playing as Clem in s3 because we have hardly played as clem as 10 minutes
Of f… moreor fucks sake here we go again...
his story is taking over the whole season and giving the actual lead charecter, clem, a side role
She's NOT the lead character. And thank god, We had Two seasons around Clementine, IMHO it's time to stop and move forward.
This is NOT The Walking Clem. If you cannot deal with it then...
Meh. My least favorite playable character was Clem. I enjoy being Javi.
I loved S2, but let's be honest here: having a kid as the playable character and putting her to make decisions doesn't make sense. No one listens do kid nowadays. No one would come even close to give a kid voice in a zombie apocalypse. S2 was just surreal, that's why it's better to have the kid as the secondary character without much influence.
In S1, Clem influenced Lee which consequently influenced the story. But making those decisions as a kid sounded ridiculous to me. I don't think that having Javi as the playable character is the problem with S3.
This game is called Walking Dead:New Frontier. Yes it's the thrid game, but its gaming press and us who call it S3. TTG rarely does. We may yet get a numbered as such S3. Our choices in New Frontier will lay out the template for it. We don't have to love the choices of others. But acceptance is key your sanity.
This constant whining from people like you is dulling my love for Clementine enough that I might actually be able to make rational choices going forward that aren't just for her benefit. So thanks I guess.
With biggest flaw I mean that it's already here. Clem is taking this season down. I think it would have been more enjoyable as Javi. If Telltale still had time to decide before the release than it should have been either Clem or Javi only. Of course preferable Clem, because she has been already around since season 1. I mean it's not named season 3 right ? So maybe this is some sort of side dlc for Javi and Clem will come back in season 4 ?
no seasons 3 biggest flaw is javie and his family you dont make a new story and throw
in new characters its season 3 means continuation not… more a reboot and not a cross
over story a continuation to season 1 and 2 so it should have been a continuation
with clementine as the big focus so at best this should not even be a season 3 but
a spin off or a cross over story that is telltales biggest flaw trying to make this
as season 3 when it has nothing or no meaning to be called a season 3 cause
season 3 would of continued with clem and not what they did this is not really
continuing clems story or following the first 2 seasons storyline there fore is
a spin off or crossover not season 3 we waited 2 years and this is the best they
can come up with what a joke this has no connection to season 1 or 2 there for
cant be called season 3 at best a spin off with clem making a guest appearance
No it's not, and it's that kind of elitist attitude that causes me and several others to say that Season 1 is overrated. Is it an amazing game, of course, one of Telltale's best, but also entirely overrated when people like you look at it like it's the Holy fucking Grail of video games.

I think the problem is that they kill off all the main characters from S1 - S2 except for Clem so we once again have to start getting used to new characters we dont care about and no doubt as soon as we do care they will die early too.
In the comic and TV series there are still characters from early on who have lasted and we care about them as we know them. So why does the game version have to kill so many off?
The likes of Lee, Christa, Omid, Kenny, Luke, Rebecca, Jane etc all could of been a group that we are always with that survive together as they would be the main story with Clem and we have more feelings for rather than having to get to know more new characters.
I know it's not labeled S3, but it kinda is right ? I major choice carried over to The New frontier and Clem is here. Wether this is Season 3 or not I enjoy this (even with the big flaws). Those flaws are different for everyone else

There are many things wrong besides the misleading information with this 'third season' - shorter episodes yet we still pay the same price and guess what? Less replay-ability. We have the ability to transfer choices from the past into Season Three but that doesn't do shit, it doesn't even slightly change Clementine's personality, it just determines her flashback. Not to mention the lack of puzzles/game-play in general, the lack of interaction with characters (even though we have lots of hubs) as well as the lack of character development for some characters and I'm still puzzled as to why we are only getting five episodes if episode one was split into two for being the length of a Season One episode, I guess they might've originally decided to do four episodes or something.
I don't hate A New Frontier, I actually like it and I love Javier but I can't say it personally gives me the same enjoyment or motivation to play as the previous two games have. All the complaints against Season Three are justified and it doesn't help that TTG weren't fully honest with us, they should've at least said "Your choices from all previous episodes will only affect a flashback and a small part of Clementine's appearance" and that "This is entirely Javier's story but you get to play as Clementine in the past for a few minutes".
P.S. I love how people are complaining about people who are complaining, if you guys can't take a different opinion then feel free NOT to go on every fucking complaint thread you see
Some idiot reviewer told me this game was really good. Glad I did not listen to his bullshit because after seeing it myself well it is still quite lousy.
Yeah, I hope we get a true season 3 with Clem as the main character. I've said it in another post, Javier wouldn't have been so bad, and left such a sour taste in my mouth if TT had been up front and told us this was about him. If they told us that Clem is basically just a side character. If it was just marketed as him only that would have been fine. Just give us closer (if they want to end Clem's story) with a proper game goodbye. And Jane and Kenny derived better than what they got. Both written out of character.

The funny thing is, technically we have not even really played as her at all. In the flashbacks we literally only choose dialogue options, a few Q and E buttons here and there and that's it. We haven't even took control as her to explore etc. Gameplay is something (like in season 2) which has terribly lacked in Season 3 so far. Telltale have just gone so bad since Season 1 in my opinion. It really has
I've been playing since Season 1 and I like playing as Javier better. I just really like the idea of seeing Clementine's growth from a different perspective. Javier, in my opinion, is actually very likeable and his voice actor did a pretty good job. The complaint that I have is that Clementine isn't in the spotlight as much, but I can live with it lol.
They never will. They're too selfish to let a new character get the spotlight. Clementine is old news. She's had 2 seasons all about her, they should be lucky that she's in the game considering telltale removed virtually everything from the previous seasons.
It's a perfect argument. People bash other peoples work behind a forum and yet, they never have come close to making a game like this. We pay money for these games, but it's a simple rule, if you don't like the game, don't pay for it. Watch a playthrough first, or download the first episode, that way, if it doesn't look good, you don't waste money.
Ugh, I hate this pathetic "go write it yourself!" counterargument. We arent writing it ourselves because we're giving our money to someone else to do it for us. If they don't deliver right then we are going to complain.
I agreed with you until you said you wanted to play as Clem. I'm the opposite I wished that they left her out of the season. I must add to just knock back a beer and chill. There's no reason to reply with hostile comments. Everyone has their own opinions here.
They said this is more so/mostly Javier's story. They worded it intelligently but were still rather misleading - especially in the 'choices from the past Seasons determine starting points and Clementine's personality' department.
I honestly don't see what was wrong about letting us play as Clementine in the present or at least for more than a few minutes in her flashbacks, would've been a good way to lengthen the episodes - otherwise they could've added more character development and interactions - specifically with Marianna.
I also hate the fact that telltale lied that we'll be playing as Clem in s3 because we have hardly played as clem as 10 minutes
Of f… moreor fucks sake here we go again...

Yeah I'd go along with that and say Lee Everett was the game's equivalent to Rick Grimes essentially... while Clem is like Carl's counterpart and Kenny could be close along the lines of Daryl in comparison to the Television show. However it made great logical sense to depart from Lee and settle into Clem since Lee's demise was sort of like passing along the survivor mantle to Clem while she adapts some of the values and wisdom Lee taught her along with other survivor's knowledge like Pete, Kenny, Luke or Jane for example. I've also noticed Telltale went back to a man again after we played a man already throughout the first season.
Now with this random new fellow named Javier, he has suddenly appeared out of nowhere while shoving Clementine and other established characters off into the background so abruptly only at the command of the writers of course. The least the studio could of done was created a separate DLC (instead of the wasted time with the still decent Michonne miniseries) with his 4 year apocalyptic back story prior to the premier of season 3 to get players somewhat invested in his life and family.
But Javier seems to work fairly well as protagonist as to be expected since he is still pretty much cliche to other male protagonists in other gaming universes before him. Ya know ( generally supposedly the tall handsome fit male leading the group as commonly seen) folks might of not liked Gabe as protagonist over Javier I'd be willing to bet. But it is tough to really invest in caring that much about Javier thus far for me at least and that goes double for his fam. I still cared waay more and identified alot more with Lee than Javier.. or even Wyatt. If were talking only adult male main characters.
I know it's not labeled S3, but it kinda is right ? I major choice carried over to The New frontier and Clem is here. Wether this is Season 3 or not I enjoy this (even with the big flaws). Those flaws are different for everyone else
My sentiments exactly. I never could get why they consistently kill or M.I.A 98% of the characters and generate brand new ones every season. Much more impact with everything when a cast sticks around for a good while..
I often think even Lee could had stuck around with Clementine at roughly the age she is now with Kenny and maybe ski lodge group and cabin to group. And save that emotional impact death Lee had for S2 or S3 finale. You can still create a rich tale without cheap kills every episode. Comics and TV show has even accomplished that.
I think the problem is that they kill off all the main characters from S1 - S2 except for Clem so we once again have to start getting used t… moreo new characters we dont care about and no doubt as soon as we do care they will die early too.

In Telltale Walking Dead is/wasn't Lee the Rick ? and Clem is like the Daryl or Carl ? Or is it changing in Telltale games

Protagonists change all the time in video game series. It's not the end of the world. Get over it.
Couldn't agree more.
Well reviews are opinions
Didn't they flat out say this javi story before release?

Care to show your evidence for that percentage?

Hsssh good to see people supporting!!!
Obviously I'm exaggerated the percentage >_>. My point is most people outside the forums I have come across love this season.
Take your meds.
Maybe steal some from Arvo.

Well the game folder in Steam is called "A New Frontier (Season 3)", and Telltale called it Season 3 themselves. So I'd say it's Season 3.
There are more complainers complaining about complainers than the actual complainers...
oh the irony
Because they are new comets or casual fans who don't care about story and money and quality
Just because you are a new fan doesnt mean you dont care about quality and story. Come on now.
Why have they made Clementine into an arrogant and hateful bitch?
My sentiments exactly. I never could get why they consistently kill or M.I.A 98% of the characters and generate brand new ones every season. Much more impact with everything when a cast sticks around for a good while..

True..but some opinions are lousy opinions in other opinions of those opinions.. if that's possible.
