What would you have/would like to see in A New Frontier?
This is not a hate thread, we have plenty of those already lol but earlier today, I was looking back at the previous two seasons and remember that Clementine never had to actually kill a person - I think it would've been nice if we had some variation in the way she reacted to killing Eli, although I know that she could've killed someone while she was with the New Frontier, I think it would've been nice if her reaction to accidentally killing him had some variation depending on how often she killed in the previous games.
Also, I wish we could've gotten to know Marianna even more considering her early demise, saying that, I'm really hoping that other characters like Gabe get more development and interactions because I personally need to know characters at least somewhat well if I am to get attached (Mari's death was sad but I would've been allot more emotional about it had I actually got to know her better, but that's just me).

Yeah, this should've been a thing. I find it hilarious that in the story generator you can say that one of the specific values that Clementine can value the most is honesty. Yet she goes ahead, lies, and shows little remorse for the action. Something should've definitely been done here, even just a few line changes would've been adequate enough on this point. I guess there's still time for Clementine to express regret over it in the next episodes but I doubt TellTale will waste screentime over it.
I wish Gabe and Kate were shown to be more grieving over Mariana's death. It annoys me when I look back at situations like Kenny's, who still up until Season 3 clearly never completely got over Duck's death, and see that other characters just completely glaze over their family like nothing. They hadn't lost any of their family since the start of the apocalypse, they should be shattered. Hopefully David's reintroduction next episode will reignite that. On this point, I'm also kind of wondering if Gabe's interest in Clementine isn't really a romantic one but one by Gabe as a way of seeing Clementine as a surrogate sister or replacement for Mari. His line in the car "Parents just love pretending we can't hear" I imagine would be something he would casually say to Mari. Clementine and Mari are kind of similar in height as well.
As far as scenes I want to see... I really want to see something along the lines of a scene of Clementine cutting her own hair. Maybe quietly in the background of another ongoing scene, watching her struggle as she tries to navigate with a cracked or broken mirror. Obviously we know she keeps that mop maintained, but we never actually see it. Ideally, we could maybe get this in a hub as we walk around. Perhaps if you made a lot of pro-Clementine choices and have made a good case in making Javi seem trustworthy to her, she could hesitantly ask him to cut it. Making her sentimental, it would provide a reasonable window to talk about a lot of unique topics to Clementine's past and how she looks back at those events now. It could be the perfect way to make Javi somewhat aware of what transpired in the past two seasons and allow the player to properly recognise how Clementine identifies these in hindsight.
Either way, I think something like this would be perfect for Clementine's character in Season 3 as it would be a situation for her that sits perfectly on the line in between her past innocence and her valued practicality.

Michonne crossing over with Clem would be very nice in my opinion. Besides that, the only other aspect I could think of right now would be the introduction of Daryl Dixon. I know, he only exists in the tv-series, but still. He is one of the only two characters I like from the tv-show.
Yeah, was rather upset at the seemingly lack of impact Mari's death had on her own family but I'll give TTG a chance to more fluidly show that impact in the coming episodes - a recurring theme in the games is 'family' so I hope they don't brush over the importance of that theme.
That would be a great scene in my opinion! We haven't seen Clementine cut her hair, ever really, we saw Lee cut it but never Clementine doing it herself - would've been nice to have a little more in the flashback where Kenny/Jane/Edith cut Clementine's hair and tell them her backstory if not telling Javier but I definitely like the idea of Javier asking Clementine about her past - it would be a nice way to show that the decisions from the past two seasons carry over more, even if it's just dialogue but I still feel like there should've been variation in her character in the first two episodes - also, has anyone figured out what the supposed 'starting points' were and whether any choices even change a single word Clementine says?
You know, it would be kinda cool to see a flashback of the time Clementine spent with Christa - they honestly could make a whole DLC based on the first and second time-skips - maybe have a DLC where we play as Christa teaching Clementine how to survive paired with a story to connect and add depth to what happened in between S2 and S3 - they don't even have to be very long, like 20-30 minutes each to ensure each ending adds a different experience and actually add replay-ability.
I don't think we'll run into Daryl sadly :c but it would be cool if we ran into someone from the Michonne game but I don't think any of the choices we made in it would actually have an effect if we did run into Michonne or someone else from the game.
Yeah, we won't see Daryl. And about Michonne, I wouldn't mind the lack of choices.
I mean, Telltale's choices affect the journey, not the destination. It's not even realistic to ask for "game-changing" choices, because otherwise Telltale would need to develop 2, 3 or 4 different games every season in order implement big changes.
They don't have to make huge multi-episode spanning consequences but having at least determinants stay alive for the whole seasons, even with just minor roles and minimal dialogue would be nice. I think it would've been a nice addition if Edith, Jane and Kenny ended up joining the New Frontier, for Clementine and AJ's sake.
I want to see Gabe and Clem kiss, or at least hug. I ship these two.
True. I would've preferred Kenny and Jane to stay alive as well, even if they weren't part of the current story anymore.
That's a brave opinion to hold. Most people want to burn this ship to the ground.
I'd be content with a hug between the two to be honest. Small steps.
Would be nice if it could be dependent on your choices as Javier - perhaps you could get them to spend a bit of time together and they could bond? People are a bit too overprotective of Clementine xD she can literally handle herself imo.
i hope encounter a survivor of 400 days...really probably 1 or 2 of this guys survive i hope this.

I just dont see Clem getting into a relationship ever, considering how she feels about loss, and considering that she watched Kenny lose it twice, + if they want Clem to get a boyfriend, at least make it season 4, so she is like 16 or something
