Length of Episodes

I feel like these episodes are extremely short... I remember the previous seasons having longer episodes. :(

Do you guys have any problems with the length of the episodes or do you think it works?

  • Everybody has problems with it and we're hoping Telltale fixes it.

  • I'll be frank. There's hardly much time to actually enjoy it and relax. It's rushed. Sure I feel the thrill in the action, but looking back it there's not much breathing room for development to keep up with the plot. With such little time, the game focuses more on plot than the characters. So many potential ways to make these new characters grow and it's hard to feel attached to them the way Telltale wants us too, I only managed to get attached Javier and Mariana (and a little bit from Kate) from the new cast. There was much focus on them, and we got to know them on a very personal level done right, with the others I don't feel as much. We also just joined a community and bam, it's gone. "Peace asshole". Not much time to actually absorb in the community's lore. The last issue I have with the length is the pricing, compare S1's length and price to this season's, one's more generous than the other.

    My two cents.

  • I want longer episodes too.

  • As long as no important story detail is left out between episodes (which so far, it hasn't), I guess I'm okay with the length as of now.
An extra 20-30 minutes of filler could go either way.

  • This season would greatly benefit from longer episodes. And also telltale is juggling alot of things in this season from Clementine&Javier's flashbacks, developing new characters, establishing Javier, and building relationships. There's a lot of things telltale is trying to cram into these short episodes which makes things come off as forced and not properly paced. Hopefully they make the future episodes longer.

  • Today I watched like a compilation video of moments from season 1 and I couldn't believe that the entire farm segment was only episode 2? Like the episodes have gotten so extremely short that this entire season might be as long as 2 episodes from the first season. It's indeed really rushed and you barely get the time to take any of it in anymore. :(

  • they said that episode 1 and 2 are gonna come out becuse the episodes were divided, episode 3 is gonna be just as long as before (or atleast close) calm your tits people

  • Judging by the reaction, this is the second most important complaint which can be easily fixed.

  • Good, sober and objective critique. Thanks!

Was I the only one that had some issues with characters being stuck for about 5 seconds and then next cinematic came? Had it with zombies and in the tunnel.

Ohh and yes... Episodes should be a bit longer.

  • I don't have a problem with episodes being shorter, I just wish that explore areas were bigger and not restricted. Invisible walls just annoy the hell outta me.

  • They said that episode 1&2 were split because "the episode would be too long otherwise." None of their recent games have gotten close to the length the episodes had in TWD S1. Why would they suddenly make episode 3 at least twice as long then?

I had it with a scene with Clem & Javier lol. Action was about to start and they just stood there for 30 seconds with their textures changing every few seconds. Immersion instantly broken XD
