No, I just think it's ironic how you said nobody should hate any characters, meanwhile you furiously shit on Jane and talk about how much you hate her frequently. I'm not defending Jane nor am I attacking you, I just thought it was funny.
Everyone has opinions, and we should respect them so long as they aren't taking it too far. For example one of my favorite characters is Arvo but I can understand why some people don't like him.

I'm trying to look on the bright side.

How did you know I'm not very good with spicy substances?
You can be indifferent toward a character or dislike them for how they are and that would be something other than liking them or hating them. @AronDracula has a point.
Still, you would have a negative perspective on a character whether you hate of dislike them.
Your argument contradicts itself, since you… more're asking people why they hate a certain character but you say that not every character is for everyone to like.

Not really. While the Rebecca(and Sarah) thing is a combined effect of him and Jane(who was the catalyst), his death was more a combination of Jane's hasty attempts to help Clementine, some pissed off and/or trigger-happy Russians, either Kenny's poor timing or Clementine's self-preservation, an unexpected environmental hazard, and finally desperation to save him on Bonnie/Clementine's part.
What I meant is he chose to run for cover to just shoot the russian guy who was just wasting his ammo aimlessly which caused him to get shot in the leg, what was his point anyway? Buricko was shooting at nobody. Kenny was dealing with Vitali, Bonnie and Mike were behind a tree and Clem, AJ and Luke were perfectly safe behind the wall. He could have just waited until Buricko wasted his all ammo.
caused his own death.

I think he just wanted to keep as much of the ammo available for when they eventually defeat them, as he and Kenny can be seen checking their guns after the fight is over.

I mean hey, I would rather hate a character (for doing something dumb for valid reason/motive) instead of wishing they get killed off immediately... like some Youtubers.

There are always people like that, man how I wish the characters are written in a way for us to care about them and not to roll our eyes at them & ignoring them.
"I think the problem is some people deem characters worthless if they can't run around guns blazing."
I could be wrong, but I'm not so sure that's what people actually want.
One of my favorite parts in the whole series is when you're trying to hold the door closed in the drug store in the first episode of season 1 and Lee asks Clem to find "Something to jam the door," and she comes back with his dad's walking cane from one of the previous scenes where he told her about how his dad "Used to zip around the store with it," and "Whup shoplifters," and how it "Protected the store better than any guard dog ever could." She wanted to be helpful, despite being small and unable to really fight off danger and, for me, Clem's want to be helpful was one of the most endearing things about her.
I really wish they'd just give some of the character's of this season the same treatment they gave her in season 1. They don't have to be all gunslinging badasses. In fact, that would be just as boring.
I don't hate any characters either, but I do find myself not caring about them a lot. Like in the case of Gabe, if you want an example, you don't really get to bond with him. You hardly talk to him at all and when you do talk, it's always a serious conversation or he's being pissy and when you're alone with him scavenging, he does literally nothing helpful.
I think the problem is some people deem characters worthless if they can't run around guns blazing. While I didn't like Sarah particularly, … moreI didn't hate or dislike her either. She was fine, she had a personality, and I tried to help her.
I also try to understand every character and their point of view. In S2, I sided with/decided for Kenny, because I knew and grew to love him since S1. But I understood Jane's motives, while I didn't agree with her idea of a provoked escalating situation to kill him off/show him off.
Jane and Kenny both had their heart in the right place, just in a different way. While I like Kenny more, I don't denounce Jane in the same breath. That's what some do. People sometimes resort to extremes while it's very vile and possible to think in greys.
Agreed. It's part of the reason I tend to find characters like Clementine, Sarah, Sarita, and Arvo most interesting than Kenny, Wyatt, Carver, and Jane.

That is one of the most adorably hilarious and awesome things I've seen in a while.
Not to mention the amount he hates on Luke whos probably one of the most goody goody characters in the game.
Because he thinks it was ok for him to have a good time with Jane when Rebecca was just about to give birth and caused his own death.
It frustrates me too but if people want to hate good characters, they're gonna hate good characters.

That's fair. I'm not shitting on you for your opinions on certain characters, I'm just saying it's really ironic.
That's putting it mildly
And I mean mildly
Like, ordering-the-mildest-sauce-they-have-for-chicken-wings mildly.

I'm a spice man, you see. I know it when I see it. You got that air about you, man.
Mildly is too mildly for that. "Not like" Arvo, I mean... No.
I am bereft of words.

Hating a character counts as taking it too far, Dojo.
Those who reach the point of legitimate hatred toward a character have most likely not understood their perspective. Hating a character is senseless.
This only applies when we speak about decent, well-written characters.
Thank you

(?) Dojo will remember that.
I meant more along the lines of attacking others for having the audacity to not have the same tastes.

Well, he doesn't even take the shotgun. All they take is Vitali's AK.
Oh, got it! That makes sense.

That's a good point, now that I think about. Especially since Arvo's second gun was very different and was likely stored around his house.
Oh, definitely. I don't know who you're referring to, but definitely.
There are always people like that, man how I wish the characters are written in a way for us to care about them and not to roll our eyes at them & ignoring them.
Funny how that says nothing about Jane.
If I'm remembering correctly I think this may have been made before episode 4.
Oh, okay.
