I liked Ben but I understood why people didn't like him. I feel telltale really dropped the ball with him in episode 5 when they made it seem Ben would redeem himself when he died contributing nothing to the plot or redemption of any kind. Also it still puzzles me how Ben said his legs hurt when he was impaled through the torso by a rod.

I think Ben's role in Episode 5 is exactly that when it comes to people like Ben. Some people just can never catch a break in life, and can have their opportunity to redeem themselves cut off before it had even begun in death, much like in real life.
As for Ben not realizing that he was impaled through the torso, it's likely the shock and adrenaline running through his body that stop his from feeling the pain.

I actually went against him during the Larry incident and had a few other confrontations lol. He still backed me when I said Clem is my family after revealing the bite, tho
It could also be that Ben was focusing on what he thinks was happening to his legs because of the fall, since he guessed that a fall he had would have likely broken his legs. He just didn't realize until later on that he was impaled through the chest, because the adrenaline kicked in to help reduce the amount of pain he would have been in until the realization kicks in.

Kenny? Is that you?
He hated that shitbird too, but then he did the most heroic thing giving him the bullet to lessen the suffering.
Yes Kenny is a good guy... but ben is a fucking shitbird.

I don't remember him saying that his legs hurt. I remember him saying that he's fine. Due to shock and fear.
I liked Ben quite a bit. He was just a kid, all kids make mistakes, his just had a bit more gravity.
wow
I honestly thought that was an intentional pun.

Or, in my 3rd playthrough's case, "Enemies for Life...until you agree with me"
Kenny is a fucking asshole.

But he comments saying he thinks his legs hurt.

I've always disliked that statement. Ben was clearly a Shit Weasel, or some other variety of Shitty Varmint.
Ben is best character.
Not all the time
I know, its just that the blatant dickishness of that moment was pretty notable.
So would you say...?
Actually never mind
You would flag as spam...
