Clem is better as a secondary character

Just got finished with episode 2 and came on here to see what others were saying. Not surprisingly I saw a lot of complaining (as I figured I would given the fact that Clem isn't the central focus of this game).

However I do think Clementine is better off as a secondary character anyways. It doesn't make much sens for a thirteen year old girl to be the main focus of the game when she is surrounded by adults. That was a big problem of the second game. They had her as the main playable character yet as a result of that a lot of the decision making for the game was being left to an eleven year old character.

I understand peoples frustrations because in many people's eyes Clementine is the reason they play the game so they want the story to revolve around her.

However after playing this game immediately after playing a bit of season 2 I can definitely say that Clementine is better off as a secondary character than a main character.

  • I agree. I always liked her as a secondary protagonist

  • My problem with the game so far is not that she's a secondary character. It's that they don't focus on her story enough, and that a lot of the choices end up revolving around her. It just doesn't make sense to me why they would shift the focus of the game away from her, just to make most of the decisions about her.

  • I didn't really notice that. There were just as many decisions revolving around Javier and his family as there were about Clem.

  • Agreed...the decisions in the game affect more than Clementine. And I like Clementine as a secondary protagonist. I would prefer to play as her more...but I am liking Javier and season 3 alot.
