Yeah, it's incorrect to pronounce it as J-a-vee-er in english. In spanish there wouldn't be a problem, but in english it would be translated through pronunciation as Havier. You still keep the J though, just pronounce it as an H.
I mean, his name is "Javier" and its Spanish so the J is pronounced like an H so it would be pronounced "Havier" And that's how it is pronounced, you can't just start calling him "JAH-vier"

With the H. Nobody's gonna pronounce it the other way.
When they revealed his name, I assumed that his name was pronounced as Jay-vee. I did not expect his name to be pronounced as Har-vee.
But I do prefer pronouncing his name how it is suppose to be pronounced.
Javier. Honestly, not a name I hear a lot but I worked with one for a few years and I'm used to Spanish pronunciations lol
In Spanish the "J" is pronounced as "H"
Javier, José, Jáime

I like to pronounce it as the developers intended to pronounce it, so in this case with an 'H'.
I grew up in a mostly Hispanic area (I'm not Hispanic) and I've never heard the J pronounced.

But if you do, you have to say it in an unbearably thick southern accent.
