I had a user assert that she was the main character in season 1 too, so I think it's mainly just gamers who are obsessed with her character and don't like the thought of her getting killed, which is petty. Of course the possibility of Clementine being killed seems unlikely at this point, what right do we have to rule it out? Telltale have shown that they give no fucks about killing children, and Clementine has gone way past the point of innocence.
She is the main character
Wait what. In season(or not season 3) Clem looks like puppet, but not a central person. 1-2 min gameplay, flashback not change this game, i'm realy disappointed. I wish playable Clem 100% or more -_-
But you can argue that Javier is a natural leader and a fit male for the same reason Clem got too much influence in season 2, because he is the "main character" (I still feel like Clem is the main character, no matter what Telltale thinks), because so far, Javier hasnt really shown himself very capable at surviving, protecting anyone, or generally being very good at anything except gambling and baseball.
I also think that, while yes, she did have more influence than she should at times, people blow Clems influence in season 2 out of proportion, there was so many times where you could give good advice as Clem, only to have noone listen, and continue with whatever stupid plan they had. and alot of times when Clem was the one doing the dangerous stuff that "the adults should do", its because she was the only one with the size or weight to do it, the windmill for example, if I recall the ladder was unstable or something, so they sent the lightest person, at Howes, she was the only one who could get on the roof with the hook, and probably the least suspected of hiding a radio, and because she was a kid, she had more leeway to run around than the adults because she couldnt do all the hard labour.
But yeah, this is pretty much why I dislike playing Javier in the new game, because playing Clem gave a whole new perspective on everything, from making choices to what you could do, and she had a history that made her mostly capable of what she was doing, whereas Javier has been in the apocalypse with his family now for 4 years, yet they all still seem like they came out of the shower, half the family running through bullethell to get to a DEAD body, Kate smoking weed and talking about sex, its like they have no clue what the hell is going on, or are completely ignorant, which is why I really have very little respect for Javier and his family, which is also why I dont really care about them, (that and because I mostly care about Clems story)
The shed scene really set the tone of S2 for me, had that been Lee it wouldn't have been nearly as much of a struggle. Playing as her was a … moreunique experience, you were still making decisions because its a game but still, playing as a child in a strange group, you're not really knowing what to expect because this is their group, and they're taking you in. I do think TT may have gave a bit too much power to Clementine, but that's my only complaint.
It would have been really cool though, going from being mindful of what we did in S1 and what we teach her, to actually surviving as her over the years. Seeing first hand how she improves, becomes more capable, how the decisions we make change as we grow with her. That's actually a pretty unique path to take for a game, or at least any series I've played.
But, I mean, Javier is unique too, I guess. It's not often in an RPG that you get to play as a physically fit male in his prime who happens t… [view original content]

True, I guess it was mainly the way they relied on her though. The bridge, fixing the windmill or whatever. There were a few moments that just felt weird being left up to her.
My last paragraph about Javier was sarcasm, though. It was a completely lazy route for TT to take because that's an extremely common troupe in RPGs.

Hey I think she is cute...and her personality is awesome...she does not strike me as being one of those high maintenance people...she seems the type to sit on the couch and shoot the breeze...watch a good movie with and be the cool friend that has your back. Of course she could be a psycho...who knows...probably has a pit in her basement where she keeps people to feed to her pet alligator Rex.
You could call Clementine the Deuteragonist, but I personally consider her the Focal character, which is defined as the character on whom the audience is meant to place the majority of their interest and attention.
She's not the main character in season 1 or 3. Please stop saying that.

It sounds like Telltale can still write great stories like S1, they just rewrite and cut out all the bits that make it better, trying to appeal to more casual audiences.
Fall back. I said the game was designed completely around her. Kinda makes her a main character in the story, not the. We had a player character. But I never once said she was the main character of ANF. She's just there, she's not a main or a focal character, she that cash bringer so far.

I think the problem is that the writers don't have time to actually, you know, write.
Think of it this way: let's say you have a really great artist. Guy needs some time to make a piece, but when he finishes, it's pretty damn good.
Now let's say that guy gets hired, goes to work at a company. They ask him to make a very specific painting. So the guy works on it, day in day off, for quite a while. Then, about 2 days from the deadline, someone comes in and tells him "yeah, actually, we're gonna need you to change that to this instead"
So now the artist has about 2 days to pretty much do this painting over from scratch. Can he still make a relatively good painting? Probably, but with only 2 days on the clock, he's gonna have to cut corners. He won't be able to finalize all the details. He won't be able to think it all through. And in the end, the painting just ends up being a shadow of what it could've been if he wasn't forced to re-do everything in the middle of production.
That's what I think is happening with the writers here
You ask how someone could sign off on the Kenny/Jane conflict? Well, imagine if the writers originally had the whole Kenny/Luke thing going, then a few weeks before episode 5's supposed to release, some executive comes in and tells them "yeah, we're gonna want you to change it to Kenny and Jane instead, mkay?"
Now they have to scratch all the Kenny/Luke shit, and somehow figure out how to make a Kenny/Jane conflict happen in the course of one episode, without the luxury of any previous build up or interplay between these two characters beforehand. They do the best they can, but it still comes out looking half-baked, because they were forced to ditch their previous concept that would have worked out better than the last-minute replacement they were forced to come up with. All because someone thought they knew better than the dudes that have been working on the script for months.
Of course, that's all just speculation on my part. But given the recent comments about how they're still rewriting episode 3 and what such, it seems relatively plausible.

Someone needs to do an edit of Carlos slapping Sarah with this in the background.
How about no?
Her voice makes her hotter than she actually is. It's the weirdest thing.

Also, who's TJ?
Who care? But in this case TWD end for me. Clementine is a hero, Symbol in telltale walking dead univerce, not even a zombie or someone Javier/etc.
A user or Telltale? The first season was kinda designed completely around her lol
I more like play as Clem and Horce, or with two Clem but not a Javier

No disrespect to Melissa, of course. Attraction is ultimately subjective.

It's cool, I still have to make up for the Doug comment lol

When does she actually say that? I Never found the dialogue that leads to that.
You get it if you don't back up Clem when she shoots Eli.
