(Theory) Remember those choices back in S2 where you leave Kenny or Jane?
I have a theory to make for TWD A New Frontier that I think is amazing and doesn't make the choices back in S2 pointless after all, So you know those other choices where you leave Kenny or Jane after one of them dies?
Well I was thinking:
If you leave Kenny to be on his own and stay at Wellington with AJ: Bring the hat before Wellington goes down (I'll talk about that in a sec), Wellington goes down, Clem gets the scar on her face, Clem start's wearing Kenny's hat in one of the episode's maybe hinting Kenny will come back soon in one of the episodes, Kenny comes back without his hat and Clem is wearing it instead, And Kenny lives till the end of S3 and this time it's a good death and doesn't treat Kenny like he's a wasted character to the story.
If you leave Jane to be on her own after having to shoot Kenny: Clem is alone, Clem's finger is gone, You see Jane again and if you're still mad at her you have the option to shoot her after putting AJ in danger just to prove how Kenny was insane, But if you forgive her you can spare her and she tells Clem how she made it and how she wanted to commit suicide but didn't do it, And tells how the baby died, And she lives till the end of S3 and this time it's a good death and doesn't treat Jane like she's a wasted character to the story.
Leaving Kenny after seeing Jane killed by him: Clem's finger is gone, You see Kenny again, You have the option to shoot Kenny if you still think he's dangerous after what happened to Jane, Or spare him and Kenny tells Clem how he made it on his own, And Kenny lives till the end of S3 and this time it's a good death and doesn't treat Kenny like he's a wasted character to the story.
I think this will make TWD A New Frontier a lot better and would change my mind about it and forget about those 2 horrible deaths with Kenny & Jane
Comments
Kenny, One of the best WD characters of all time starts from S1-This piece of shit
He gets the honor of dying in a fucking car crash because
1. His seatbelt was fucking broken
2. Him and Clem didn't think of bringing fucking weapons when they're out in a world where there are only Walkers & Survivors that can fucking kill you
Jane, The bitch who didn't seem to care about anyone but herself makes it through S2-This piece of shit
She gets the honor of killing herself because of that fucking pregnancy test that said was a positive, She said she had to leave her sister because her sister wanted to die and she had no option to save her, She saw Sarah get eaten by walkers, She had to kill a russian man she didn't want to kill but had to, Saw Rebecca's head shot and Luke said she turned, Saw Kenny beat Arvo, Saw Luke die, Saw Kenny get shot by Clem (If you chose to shoot Kenny), Saw Carver's fucking destroyed face when Clem and her went back to Howes (Again if you chose to Shoot Kenny), but that fucking pregnancy test made her end herself because it reminded her that Luke banged her back where Rebecca had the baby and that made me think she only cared for Luke cause they banged therefore leaving fucking Clem & AJ to survive by their own when Howes has no one else there and no supplies but themselves there
WORST WRITING EVER...
What do you consider a "good death"?
I think Jane would have even more incentive to kill herself if she were on her own.
It's not going to happen
Yes that sounds like a dumbass thing but it's better then making the choice pointless I mean what would your theory be about Jane surviving if you left her?
Well I'm still gonna hope :P
Well Jane would never kill herself. She's introduced as a survivalist and would rather let others die to stay alive, including her sister. Jane is Carver without the mindless violence.
Pretty much.
I still say Kenny and Jane's deaths make perfect sense.
I don't think she would survive.
Either way, she's gonna kill herself, in my opinion.
I respect your opinion kind sir
Bringing them back in playthroughs where they were abandoned wouldn't be fair to the people who stuck with them. They can't rewrite Kenny and Jane's death without looking incompetent, but they could make a few more flashbacks with them to make our choices a little less pointless. They could show some of the things Kenny and Clem did after they left Wellington. With Wellington they could just show more of what the community was like or something. I'm not sure what they could do with Jane though since she didn't last very long anyway.
I still say it would have made more sense if Jane died from a botched self-abortion
This is all fucked to death... Well I guess you have a point and TellTale could have written the story better. However, they may just to "make a step forward" with a "new" story and "new" characters, "new" environments etc. But then again, this is lazy, in my opinion, too. However, (again) TellTale may wanted to publish the game sooner because of the "hungry fans" of The Walking Dead who were really hyped about it (like me) and they wanted it to be released as soon as possible(not me). Again, the conclusion is: TellTale MAY was a Little lazy about this game. This is just my opinion on this issue
not Perfect sense...
I have to say that this thing with "no guns" in Kenny' flashback is silly. Who wouldn't have a gun in a zombie apocalypse? (well, ok maybe AJ can't have a weapon but anyway, I think you understand what I mean...)
Never even considered that Clem should've been able to just shoot the walkers while Kenny tried dragging himself back to the car. Weak writing right thurr.
Everything that happened when they died was argued about when Kenny and Jane were in the truck after Clem was shot in season two.
Yeah, season 1 & 2 Kenny was my right hand man. It really pisses me off a great great deal that he died. It basically made every decision to stand by Kenny in past season rindered pointless. I mean granite, I wouldn't want to live in a zombie apocalypse paralyzed. But what was the point of making us think Kenny died to the herd in season 1, to have him come back in season 2 being the hugest surprise ever, to chosing to stay with him instead of going into wellington, which I did obviously, to a damn car crash. Jane sucked. I hated her anyways. Although I agree with the fact that she was a survivalist. Jane would not have committed suicide. Period. It just seems like they wanted to please new players with season 3 instead of keeping their invested players happy. Its like no decisions you made in season 1 or 2 ACTUALLY matter in the long run. I do like the theory of going into Wellington leaving Kenny outside. Maybe he would live then. & I would never chose to try and keep Jane around. I hated her.
That would be a huge slap in the face for the fans of Jane & Kenny. Imagine only the people who didn't like them, who left them get more time with them and see a more graceful exit than you who actually stood by them and liked them. No, if you leave them they get the Christa treatment. Might have a small cameo in some DLC or something similar to dead Carley/Doug on the road in 400 days.
I wish we had a stream here so that we can just criticize what has been happening with this game series.
Don't get me wrong I LOVE the idea of them making a new story, new characters, and new environments but if they make lazy writing to the old stories, old characters, and old environments and start making new characters it just ruins the whole game because Story matters and Choices matter and if TellTale keeps thinking that's not important then all I can say is I'm done with this series and I don't want that I LOVE this series it's better then the Comics/TV Show any day but again if they keep this ridiculous writing up then I'm never playing/watching this series ever again...
I respect your opinion sir but may I ask how it makes sense really?
Kenny: Kenny dies in a car crash because
1. His seatbelt was broken
2. Clem & him didn't think of bring weapons when they're out in a zombie apocalypse where there are basically no rules just survival
Jane: Jane's death at first when I first saw her hung herself I thought it made sense at first but then I saw the pregnancy test and it said a positive she is pregnant here's why it made no sense to me:
Jane had no option to save her sister Jamie cause she wanted to die and she refused to move and had to leave her to get eaten, She saw Sarah get eaten by walkers, She had to kill the Russian man from Arvo's group even though she didn't want to, After the shooting she saw Rebecca shot in the head and Luke explained to her she turned, She saw Luke die in the ice, She saw Clem shoot Kenny (If you chose to shoot Kenny), She saw Carver's fucking destroyed face when you went back to Howes with her (If you went with her and didn't leave her), but her fucking pregnancy test made her end herself because it's Luke's baby?
Wellington: Wellington I expected not to make it I thought it would be dead the time this game came out but they made it really ridiculous here's why:
What/where the leader of Wellington?
Where are there weapons?
What happened to their food? Were they running out?
How the hell did that scavenger group manage to get inside Wellington's walls?
Doesn't any of this sound ridiculous and lazy to you?
She saw that happen twice? Damn, she definitely had problems then.
Did he?
Yes.
I fixed it you happy princess? :P
But technically Jane did see Sarah get eaten by walkers twice if you chose to let Sarah die the first time or let her live a little longer... :P
Better yet, don't have any at all.
You really don't seem to care about bad writing when it comes to this, You probably think as long as there are walkers, survivors, and Clementine, It'll be good then we'll move on to the next game and then LazyTell who say ''Your choices matter'' but really doesn't fucks up the writing up over, and over, and over, and over, and over again until finally I start being done with this series and I don't want to do that I've been with this series since S1...
Also wtf that picture of Clem on your profile is funny/weird...
Um, I clearly do. Do you read half of my comments? I'm always talking about the writing.
Um, no. I'm the last person on this forum you should be telling that to. Don't know where you're getting all of this from.
Oh fuck, Jane's a shittin' Archanan! Reality is an illusion! The Universe is a hologram! Buy gold!
That's prince, Nerd. Also, there's an edit button when you hover over your posts.
Sorry I saw the ''Better yet let's not have any at all'' and I quickly thought you didn't seem to care about writing my bad...
I did edit it did you not notice?
Don't think sometimes...
Also yes Luke said she turned
Jeez about 400 viewers never made it that far... :P
Lol
Of course, I understand what you're saying and I wish TellTale had written the flashbacks a Little better because, as you said, it ruins the whole point of "your choices matter".
