I would like to attach a Rider to the petition that asks for Telltale games to announce release dates two months in advance and another Rider which brings Lee back to life.
I don't know how many people remember Choose your own adventure books.
A lot of the adventure books I read as a kid always kind of irked me a bit since every path you choose is a completely different story that contradicts every other story that could happen. I like the one narrative with varying degrees of differences to the "jam every short story you can think of into this thing" approach as you can lose a lot of what makes a narrative interesting.
I don't know how many people remember Choose your own adventure books. telltale games are just about the same thing. you read a little and … morethen its like go to page forty for this or page eigthy-four for this. The problem is that telltale never gave you enough save slots to explore all the endings, which isn't an accident because there are really fewer endings then we are led to believe as proven by the beginning of season three. And I was never able to bring my saves over for some reason so it made up its own history for me.
I can't recall a scene in Season 1 where you could visit different areas based on how you chose.
As you haven't realized, I was responding based on this part of your comment. Sure, you don't choose between areas, but there's allot of variation in the group you have at the end of Episode 4 and Episode 5. So no, you weren't just talking about Season 3.
The definition for Telltale essentially means that you can make certain choices which may have different effects on certain scenes as well as possible dialogue, but the story ultimately ends up going the same way. This is likely why the wording 'tailored' was used rather than 'your choices will have vast consequences'.
They're not gonna read it. They're too stupid.
The part bolded is a insult even if you're talking about one person and goes directly… more against the first rule of the Forum Guidelines

Obviously people can say that they dislike A New Frontier but calling the staff "stupid" isn't the way to go about it.
Not listened to it or watched, though I likely will later, but I'll assume what was said is accurate as your one sentence summary is correct. I think a good chunk of people won't listen though.
Before S3 was released, I remember warning people that the most they should expect is a unique scene or two based on S2's ending and perhaps some unique dialog, which is what we got. Well, at least one unique scene anyway. Of course, if people's problems are simply that the flashbacks were done badly and their criticisms don't relate to the actual impact of choices, then yeah . . . what I've said doesn't cover that.
I'm just meaning the general "our choises don't do shit" kinda stuff and I think that the flashbacks were bad (though I haven't played it but watched it Coz my computer can't get to the Tt site to download It) but the whole thing is kinda wrong as explained in the vid

The game isn't perfect, to me, I really like it so far, yes I have played the last two seasons, but to say season 3 is terrible just because of Kenny, Jane and the flashbacks is just a terrible way of looking/critiquing TWD TT S3, games like this should be judged fully once the five episodes have been released, because who knows, TTG are defo looking at these feedbacks from behind the scenes (I believe), sometimes and they may be taking these feedbacks onboard, one thing for sure is I know that the demand for Clem to be more playable is on the high, that's something I agree with.
You know, I didn't mean it literally. If you know what you're talking about then why can't you count to three? Why are you making stuff up? Why are you comparing two episodes to an entire season? Why are are your criticisms vague and unclear?
You're wrong. I've played TWD season 3. I've played them all. I know what I'm talking about.
You're hardly going to provide a neutral view though are you.
Yes, I'm so glad that the relationships in S2 were so tailored.. like that one time you blackmail both alvin and rebecca and the next time they totally forget about that?
Or that time when you have a choice to leave the next morning or wait a few days and there's still the same amount of snow on the ground. Arvo's group still ambush you in the exact same location. Rebecca still dies regardless and some how Jane is still around to hear the gunshots.

"We don't like this game because, although we know TTG has a story they've got to tell, they no longer put effort into character interactions and impact. They no longer attempt to make the games appear like our choices matter. They clearly rushed the flashbacks which last five minutes each. Why do you think the models look so bad? They put effort into Clementine's model even though she looks the same age in each one, but didn't with Kenny Jane or Edith. They lied about saying Clem would be a playable character because it's unfair to count 5 minutes of dialogue as her being a playable character. They said that they were more interested in appealing to new gamers than continuing Clem's story and so had to come up with a new character. Clem is only in this season to appease the fans it feels like. The Episodes are too short. Characters are killed for shock value only. We pretty much know that Conrad will die in Episode 3 or 4 and have no impact in either. Clem acts the same regardless of our choices."
People who like Season 3
"Oh but it's SO AWESOME. TELLTALE RULES! Two and a half years isn't enough time to come up with suitable ways to conclude our previous choices. I'm just so happy Clem is in the game. I love the new animations. You can't judge Season 3 on two episodes."
I can judge TWD season 3 on it's two episodes and I judge there to be no character opinions that are altered by dialogue options.
I can play Episode 1 and 2 of Season 1 and see that my dialogue does effect character opinions.
If you side with Lilly through Dialogue, Kenny will remind you of it and not like you. Your relationship wont be very good with Kenny.

Season 2.
If you threaten Rebecca she will be your best friend by episode 2.
No matter what you say to her she'll be your best friend by episode 2.
If you manipulate Carlos's daughter, he'll say you are not to be trusted, and then trusts you to look after his daughter as well as wanting you to go with them. This being a group that locked you in a shed because they thought you were working for Carver. Something conveniently forgotten.
We are forced into a caring role for AJ despite you know, the option not to act like you like the kid.

I totally agree with you!
This is because many people don't like the outcome of Season 3 (the story, basically).
very helpful

You obviously haven't clicked on the "date" and saw the oldest threads here... see those petitions.

This is implying this wasn't a complaint back in season 1: https://telltale.com/community/discussion/comment/746938

How he explains it is so great it's not about it's not how the choices affect the the story is how they affect you as a player

That was as powerful an argument for how the Telltale formula works as any I have ever seen..nice find!
Thank you and I think that's what makes telltale so great

I really enjoyed this video. I like his explanation on how choices work in a Telltale game.
Are you capable of debating with people without insulting them? There was no need to call others ignorant and to call @hs19940 a hypocrite.
Maybe not "way" out of line, but you're not being a very pleasant person to deal with.
Ok @TWDazehnuu this is what I was talking about with you....calling someone ignorant when they were not being combative is bad.
