How do you think Tripp is going to die?

Well, the title says it all. They introduced a likable, lovable character who genuinely looks like he wants the best for everyone and whose life goes to shit after the protagonists enter his cute little hippie town. How do you think he's going to die and when?

  • My prediction, in episode 3 he will die either way but can be saved like Sarah but dies in the same episode regardless.

  • Pathetically, by the start of "episode 5"

  • He better not die badly-written.

  • He can't die as long as he has his majestic beard. We wouldn't be able to use "I got lucky. Real lucky" meme.

  • Eh we'll possibly find him somewhere along stuck in a fence as a walker when David tells us to scout the New Frontier perimeter and Jesus tells us we have to put him down. Turns out Max snuffed him off screen because he ate another one of his pudding cups. Chocolate this time!

  • All this talk of Tripp dying scares me. :'(

I still have hope for him, but if he does end up dying than it should be meaningful. Like no Tripping into a herd of Walkers or anything coincidental or random. And not murdered by the antagonists, it works for Mari to get you hating the bad guys, but I want him to have something more than that. But most of all I just want him to survive.

  • Hahah well, it was kind of meant as a joke you know, because every character you actually like will end up getting killed (fingers crossed for Clementine though) but I'm glad to see some serious thoughts on this. I think he'll probably die saving his people in the process because that's well, the kind of guy he is. It's crazy to me that he can still be nice to Javi and Clem even though his entire life has gone to shit after they arrived - I know it's not their fault, but still.

  • he wont tho

  • Eleanor turns on him.

  • why the hecko would she do that though? they're both good people

  • Tripp's vehicle was left in a walker horde when we last saw it. It's gonna turn into a zombie and kill Tripp as poetic revenge for Tripp's abandonment.

  • Call me crazy, but I don't see him dying.

  • why the hecko would she do that though? they're both good people

It's a popular theory that Eleanor is in the New Frontier.

Not much evidence, it's mainly a hunch from the way she acts; overly nice, disappeared from Kate, her insistence to take Javier back to his family (where the NF was coincidentally hiding)...

There are some points I like about that. I guess it's up in the air as Eleanor is missing at the end of episode 2. Their is subtle foreshadowing from Clementine too.

  • Shot in the back of the head from some goon in the woods with an Ak-47!!! That one never gets old!

Also why the FUCK does everyone have an AK-47 starting with season 2? Even the comics dont have this amount of weaponry. The video game characters could have taken over the country by now.

  • Also why the FUCK does everyone have an AK-47 starting with season 2?

    Because the plot demands it.

  • He'll sacrifice himself to save someone else in the finale then comes back in S4 lucky, real lucky with a more badass beard

  • It sort of worked for Carvers group since they were responsible for the river massacre and for overpowering the ski lodge pretty quickly.

Still though, so many Aks. Not even ar 15s. The comics have mainly pistols and makeshift weapons by this point.

Because they can't be fucked making more weapon models

First, it was too many glocks

Then it was too many rifles

Then it was too many AKs

Now it's too many AKs and... m4 carbines, or something? Whatever it is Tripp carries.

  • Tripp should be this season's Kenny.

  • I don't know, but he reminds me Oscar from Jurassic Park, so.. i think who played in JP knows how it works. )

  • I know this is super tangential, but it's on my mind.

While we are talking about Tripp, does anyone else think it's a shame that his bar wasn't called the Tripp Trap?

Now that Telltale is finally at a point of being able to do realistic looking people decently (as opposed to having to rely on exaggerated comic designs), I wonder what their Jurassic Park game would've looked in their current engine update.

  • They won't kill Clem, but hopefully they don't kill Tripp either, I think Gabe should be the one to sacrifice himself, it's the only way I'll ever consider his character "redeemed", especially if he does it for the entire group. Gabe could then be that "man" he wants to aspire so badly.

  • I think tripp will get killed by a wait for it... Trip mine!! Haha oh that was bad

  • The glock thing made sense. They are an extremely popular and versatile brand of firearms, and are the standard in police and military organizations across the nation.

The rifles could still make sense because they were in rural Georgia where there is plenty of hunting, and they even scavenged at least one rifle from the St. John's ("Charlotte", lol).

The AK's dont make a lick of damn sense. Maybe if we were in the middle east, but it blows my mind that nearly everybody has access to a fully automatic Ak. Laziness and reusing assets can get to the point of being unbelievable.

  • Wow I thought that was a new screenshot for episode 3, got excited at the detailed character model.

But of course we will just end up killing "generic goon #3 with gold chain" at least five more times throughout the season.

  • I just hope it isn't in a stupid way. The guy has "hero" written all over him, so one would expect him to die to save someone else. However, this kind of trope is often subverted in TWD, so it is very likely that he dies in a stupid way.

I just hope he doesn't turn on us before it.

  • Maybe Carver or Troy(or maybe even Tavia) had a fascination for AK-47s?

  • Delitino kills him in a fit of rage.

  • Still doesn't explain where or how they were able to find such a surplus
