How Kenny and Jane can be alive (Serious this time)
So I'm sure most of you remember back when I made the first thread touching about this topic, however that time it was half-joking, it wasn't to be taken super seriously.
However, after talking to a pretty decent amount of people, we deiced to post another thread that is to be a little bit more serious on how Telltale still has a chance to fix the flashbacks, also if you read the last thread, expect some things to be repeated.
So obviously one of the issues that was in season 3 was that our endings did not matter at all, however we now though of a way that Telltale can fix the problem they created. Right now we think Telltale might have decided to try their very own "Glenn Dumpster" situation, where a character seems to be 100% dead but is some how okay.
Basically the first part is, no one knows Clem's past still, the closest she has is to Javi in ep 2 when you talk to her, but she never mentions what happened exactly to Kenny/Jane. So how can Telltale fix the flashbacks? Well they could do something like this: (This part is sorta similar to the last thread)
In one future episode (either 3 or 4) Clem and Javi will have some kinda of bonding time. (They already need it because right now they arnt exactly the best friends or have a real reason to, so this would also serve a purpose for them to grow closer) It would involve Clem talking to Javi until a situation would play out somewhat like this:
Javi: So, what happened to you anyway.
Clem: (Tell Javi about her parents, Lee ect, until she gets to the end of S2, this is where changes happen)
Alone Ending
Clem: There were people, but Im not with them now.
Javi: What about your finger? What happened to it?
Clem: Well, it happened like this...
We then get a new flashback for the alone players. Because Kenny and Jane are dead/abandoned 100% in this version, it will be a complete straight forward flashback with no changes) Clem's broken finger is really messed up now, it needs amputating. The scene will basically be similar to the stitches situation, just that Clem has to cut her finger off. After the scene ends it will go back to the present with Clem finishing explaining to Javi about what happened, Javi will then respond about how it must have been painful.
Wellington Ending
In this version, Clem will start telling Javi about how she reached a place called Wellington with her friend Kenny and how she left him behind to enter by herself and how it fell. Edith is also 100% dead in this, Wellington's ending is more like a mix of the alone ending. Javi will then ask if she ever found her friend after that, Clem will say no, but she will say she isnt sure what happened to him. In this flashback Clem is still in the woods, its maybe a day or two after Wellington falls, she finds a camp in the woods. She explores it and finds a duffel bag, as well as other things that point to Kenny (Jacket maybe, just things that show its most likely Kennys camp) however the camp is raided and falling apart. We search around for a bit and eventually stay the night there. We go back to the present and talk to Javi about how we found Kenny's camp but he never camp back and we arnt sure what happened to him.
Okay, now for the Kenny and Jane flashbacks
Kenny Ending
This time the convo with Javi and Clem would be different. Javi will ask what happened to people Clem knew, she will say how she knew someone named Kenny. Javi will then ask what happened to him. Clem will tell Javi that she is dead. Javi will say he is sorry, but then Clem will say that what she just said isnt internally true. queue the new flashback. It again starts with a flashback of Kenny and Clem driving, they crash and Kenny goes out the window. However, Kenny isnt paralyzed, instead only a single leg is broken, he is still beaten up badly and cant get up. He tells Clem to leave him and to not look back We see Kenny crawl away from the Walkers and we go back to the present with Javi and Clem and Javi can say something like "Well maybe hes okay, maybe hes out there" which Clem replies with "I dont think so." She will then talk about how she feels guilty for why Kenny died and that its her fault, and she's been having alot of nightmares about him lately. (The Kenny/Jane flashbacks do happen when Clem is going to sleep)
Jane Ending
Again, similar to Kenny's Clem says Jane is dead, but then will say what she said isnt 100% truth. In this flashback we are examining the perimeter when we return back to where Clem and Jane were. Jane isnt there but there is a note, the note says that she decided that she couldn't live with herself anymore. She tells Clem how she knows she pregnant and how she feels like she cant go on after all she's done (such as, making Clem kill Kenny, leaving Jamie to die) she says its goodbye. Again we go back to the present and Clem feels guilty and keeps having nightmares that Jane killed herself because of her. Again Javi will say maybe shes out there some where.
Afterwords, Kenny and Jane eventfully return sometime in episode 5. For one, this can make another really tailored episode based on your endings. We talk to Kenny/Jane and then we get our own flashback of Kenny and Jane.
Kenny
We see Kenny managed to crawl away, find some sort of shelter to hide in something/somewhere (maybe a cement pipe or something) we see how he worked on getting his leg fixed and how he went out to find Clem ever since. (Kenny doesnt return if you got the Wellington ending, it functions like the alone ending)
Jane
We find out that Jane decided to change her mind and wasnt going to leave Clem, she is about to take the note back, but then the family (which we discover is bad no matter what you do) comes back and takes Jane. We then learn the story of what Jane did to get away and where they took her, and ever since she's been trying to find Clem agian. (Jane could maybe even end up having her child named Jamie.)
And if alone, there wont be any returns from any characters, the episode will play without any similar scene.
Anyway, that is the basic theory we thought of. Obviously it is kinda stupid and dumb to do a "oh it was a part dream" but I'd rather have something dumb happen and fix a screw up than just let something really dumb happen. So that's my more serious theory on how Kenny and Jane could return. (sorry that it is pretty similar to the other one)
Comments
I'll take anything over those flashbacks. I mean shit... you ok homie?
Don't worry this thread has only been rewritten twelve times
RIP Poogs. He's still so disappointed about season 3, that he keeps getting wasted so he can forget it.
You okay homie?!
I don't see this happening, to be honest.
But anything to keep that last sliver of hype going.
You Olay homie?
Yes wolf, our homies Kenny and Jane will be okay!
Poogers...creating the new Lee lives threads for 2017.
I will gladly take that title.
You are currently at denial... Or maybe depression. I think I'm still depressed about this.
It's time to move on, friend. It's time to think about the present, no matter how crappy it may be.
I think I went from anger, denial, bargaining, back to anger, depression, acceptance, back to anger, and now im at denial again.
you ok homie?
But for real though, there's a million in one chance of this happening but it's better than what we got. If it does, fix their models please.
Rare Pepes are out, Rare Bruce Waynes are in.
No, none of these are serious.
Like all the other posts on this subject, it's wishful thinking, at best.
They're dead. They died. They ain't coming back.
Just let this happen, after all of the dumb shit in episode one and two no one would be surprised really. This would be perfect, and you already did most of the writing so now all Telltale has to do is get the VA's in there and do some animating.
In the words of Kenny, "Do it...Just do it."
Seems really unecessary to me. Kenny and Jane are dead, so sad, now let's move on.
The only real explanation they could give is that those flashbacks were only nightmares, because they lost touch somehow, and Clem blames herself for that.
Do I need to make a Nostalgia Critic video about Kenny and Jane now?
Is this a Kenny and Jane Edition of "Lee is alive" bullshit?
This is like stiching a patch over the broken fabric. If may be fix something but it would most likely look crappy if it's not done perfectly.
But would you rather have broken fabric, or fixed fabric that looks kinda bad?
Thought you were referencing Shia LaBeouf there for a second.
Nah man, cuz they aint dead! You heard it here first! I expect my check from Telltale any minute now!
It depends on how broken it is, and it could be way, way more broken. I'd rather keep this smal scar in the fabric as long as it doesn't get bigger.
Nah I wanted to find a gif of Clementine shooting Kenny in the head to represent episode 3 being released or some shit but I never could.
Oh, it'll get bigger. And it's not a small hole either, it's like Shamu's blowhole sized. Did I just use an analogy to describe an analogy? Can I do that?
Its like a sweater that has a huge hole missing in the front, but you can fix it with a big ol patch! Just sew it on, and call it artistic!
NO YOU CAN'T
just jokin
Well, whatever. It's not like it will affect me at all, considering I got the alone ending, put your cheap patch in the broken fabric, if you want to.
It's artistic if someone who know how to sew a patch does it. Telltale isn't very good at patching the holes in the Plot sweather.
Uh, then we tell them "Good job sweetie, it looks great, but try a little fucking better next time! Okay love you sweetie xoxo"
YOU ARE A PLOT HOLE
You see someone getting bitten and eaten, he is dead.
You see someone hanging herself, she is dead.
They okay homie
They dead. That's a fact
Wake up!
They are a-okay!
Don't play dumb with me!! Your paranoia isn't helping anyone.
