Dat chapters without any gameplay parts...

Currently I play season 2 of TWD.

But I encounter many chapters without any gameplay parts (except a some talking and answers).

Not even move around a bit or fight something.

I love season 2 because of Clem as main protagonist. But this "chapters" are weird ... because it should be a game!

I don't have this problem in season 1. But season 3 has also little gameplay.

  • Telltale's games have been considered half game half movie after season 1 of twd they confirmed there formula so I advice you get used to it in order to enjoy the game a little bit more

  • Holy moly, sextuple post! That's a new record!

  • I vaguely remember a TellTale post saying they don't care if people don't call their games "games". It is more like a somehow interactive story anyway.

  • Would even call it interactive at this point

Yeah, it was some panel where a question to the effect of "what do you think about people who think your games aren't games?"

And someone from Telltale said "we don't care"

    That was literally their response

To be fair, that comment was made like 2+ years ago

and it was less of a "I don't give a fuck" and more of a "We're going to keep doing what we're doing, no matter what you label our games as"

^ Yeah, they meant that in the context of "we want people to enjoy our stuff as interactive stories, not video games"

It's why in the opening credits of every series after Season 1, they say "A Telltale Story by" instead of "Game Created by"

  • It isn't new. There was a sextuple post a few months back.

Just thought I'd ruin that for you.

    You're welcome.
