  • the way Lee chose to call Clem Sweet pea in the three months we didnt see them together.

We, as Lee, grew in ,some way, attached to the little girl Clem that we took take of for 4 hours (2 episodes of gameplay time), but as Clem we had 30 minutes to spent time with AJ (barely even one episode gameplay).

It's not forced. It's a choice made by the character, the way Lee chose to call Clem Sweet pea in the three months we didnt see them together.

  • Bingo!

I think she called him Silly Bear or something.

  • Or maybe AJ is the only one she can let her guard down with. She's practically his mother, if not big sister.

I didn't think it was cringy, but I did find it out of character for Season 2 previously portrayed her as being hardened and cynical. I thin

  • Yup, totally agreed Tylergem2.

But then again, i find the entirety of the AJ plot to be cringeworthy. As soon as i realized they were gonna dump this ridiculous bundle of pixles on Clem in season 2 i knew it would be.

'Hey everybody! Who's ready to play Zombie Apocolypse Babysitters Club?' Uuugghh. What a miserable plot device.

You know everyone has been so busy complaining about every aspect of season 3, this is the only thing i really hated about it. The AJ of it all

  • Telltale looks like a gimp.

    I had to.

  • I think Luke, Sarah, and by extension Jane were also meant to be that to some extent, but it's more overt with AJ now.

She looks like he bit down too hard.

  • Kcohere is right, but I can't say I disagree with you. The only reason I really care about AJ right now is because Clem does. She's taken care of him for so long, but I really want it happily resolved for her, not so much because I'm invested in him. But it's that reason I don't really feel like it's forced on me, it's just kinda by association lol

  • Not a fan of it either.

  • It's cute and corny.

  • Its like when that random dude hanging out with your group decides to start calling a person you've known for a while a random nickname, and its awkward because no one else calls your friend that, but no one says anything because that guy means well and always brings good snacks when he comes over and hangs out, but you're always like, "bruh" when he calls your buddy the random nickname.

We've finally reached the point where everyone complained and criticized the living hell out of all the big issues, so now we're on to the smaller stuff

What's next, a thread about why Javier has a sheath for his knife on his backpack, but the animation makes it look like he takes the knife out from lower than where the backpack is, and how this is an immersion-breaking faux-pas?

Why David's hair has too much z-fighting?

  • You missed the complaining about the menus too. :p

  • I thought it was cringe too. Like they were trying too hard to make her look younger in the flashbacks. Like in less than like 2 months she went from "HEY GOOFBALL! XD" to "Give me all your shit, I just knocked down a tree and fucking saved your ass."

Also not to mention she's not the nickname type.

  • Why not? If she can accept a nickname, why couldn't she give one?

  • She's never really been the giving type when it comes to nicknames. My clem, at least.

Yeah, that #MyClementine thing was a Shaggy Dog Story to begin with.

Oh, but don't forget, she gets a scar in a different place depending on your choices! w o o w

Which means she has trouble picking up things in one scenario.

  • I honestly didn't even notice the nickname cause I guess to me it seemed natural. Goofball is such a common thing to call young kids, at least here. I think it's pretty cute. There are so many more cringy terms of endearment lol, I am surprised goofball bothers so many people. Just be glad she doesn't call him sweetie pie or pumpkin or Mister or hon...I could go on haha.

  • Oh, I know my clem doesn't exist. All that bullshit about how "every choice you made matters" is a bunch of horseshit. I was just giving a reason as to why I found it cringe when clem said goofball, because I never imagined my clem ever saying that.

  • I thought it was cute.

I must be the one person who didn't find "goofball" cringe-worthy.

  • I don't think that this is annoying. I, actually, believe that it is a little "cool" that AJ has a nickname.

  • Considering many other factors I'm not that fond of, the nickname seemed too small to mention. However, I will grant you it would've been an excellent format to address the issue some players face towards AJ's forced plot point to perhaps select a nickname of the player's choice for him. Instead, you pick a middle name he'll never be referred to as?

  • That's an awesome idea! Being able to select the nickname instead of middle name would have been interesting, it would help make everyone story a little more unique (which is lacking a lot in s3).
