Why are they doing this to themselves?
You know why ANF is so bad, poorly written, episodes are short and telltale doesn't have a plan for the series? Because they didnt even wanted to make it in the first place. They know that they'll never be able to trigger emotions like in S1. Maybe even S2 (but I doubt that, as I would've had more emotions if I were to choose between Luke and Kenny..). You can see that in basiclly everything - starting from flashbacks (no respect to old fans), badly made models, all those rewritten scenes, Melissa being not satisfied with their job. The conclusion is only one: they are hiding behind saying that game was made for new players also, thats why they made Javi and stuff, but its just smoke and mirrors. They know, that they wont be able to make as succesful, meaningful game as S1 once was. Thats why ANF is so crappy and fans are not happy.
We can feel, when something is rushed and made just so we stop demanding another season. They are making it, because WE want it, not them. For now, I can see that they are trying to keep us shut by letting out some rumors about Christa coming back, because they saw, that there are more old fans than new ones, and that we are really not happy with the way ANF is shaping out. They are fooling us, but on our own demand.

If they don't want to continue why are they continuing? Sales? ANF did poorly in the sales department as well, so it can't be sales right now. Season 4 will probably answer that question... Since sales did poorly in this Season, Season 4 might not be made - which could prove your point...
Why make a bad game when you could've ended Season 2 with a good (doesn't have to be happy, just a satisfying and emotional ending) ending and you never had to make Season 3?
But honestly, I think they just don't care about The Walking Dead anymore even though this is what gave them the publicity. They turned greedy.
They are continuing for us. Its like a toxic relationship - when you think you love someone, its hard to let go. We love the story and demand another after another, its natural. TT probably cant let us go, and wants to keep us satisfied. But still, a) its not enough, b) you can clearly see that they aren't doing this for them, because they are getting "lazy", as the forum says. I would say, that they are giving us something to keep us from whining and demanding continuation... I know, its just a crazy wheel scheme, it might never end, as we wont let them end it.
Money and because they know no matter how bad of a product they make in respects to the walking dead they can always make a good cash in on it. At this point i'm wondering if Telltale even put any genuine effort into this product.
Because...
Just replace the word "we've" with "they've".
Money may be the case. I think they didnt put effort, as I see ANF as thing that they gave us, manifesting nothing else than "here, take this, and stop asking for more", all covered in lies about trying to make something new out of something old for new players.
They know we'll wait. They know, we'll buy it, even if its a complete crap. They are using our love for their product.
That's what many companies said though, examples being Naughty Dog with "as long as fans ask for them, we'll keep making them" and the Uncharted series, and look what happened - they stopped making those with Uncharted 4 being the last one (technically the DLC will be the last).
I have this feeling this season will be the last.
I just have this feeling.
I enjoyed Uncharted 4 actually, and Im not really happy with the DLC coming out But back to the topic - I think that this will end on ANF too. They ran out of ideas, and wont be able to fulfill fan demands. My only wish is for a graceful ending, not rushed crappy stuff like flashbacks...
Man I really hate this I didn't expect to be this concerned about season 3 being so shit to the point there's no plot even....makes me mad af
I don't think they do that anymore since ANF is suppose to be catered to new fans and to appeal to newcomers to the series over the fans of the series
Why are so many of you acting like every single fan hates the game? A lot of people love it and not just here on the forums. And now a lot of you are just making crap up and it's exhausting.
Its okay that you dont think the same about the game If you think differently, I propose not to comment and read such threads - it will be much easier for you and your exhausted mental health
Its not only about the loyality with Lily/Christa rumours, its more about keeping old fans satisfied and shut. Like: "we gave you XYZ character back, so now you cant dislike ANF". This is the way I see it, they are trying to win us over again with nostalgia
I was concerned righ after the episodes ended, because there wasnt even a teaser trailer... And that is the point that proves they dont know what they are doing anymore. They just though "oh; we'll see what fans will say after the premiere and then we'll decide what to give them".
It's not like that. It's fine if you don't like the game, hate it even. But the constant jabs and accusations towards Telltale is too much.
Just like in Season 2.
They Disappointed us what you Expec to sweet talk them because they turned the game from a masterpiece into a shit show, well think again son.
$$$
I got to agree, it is a bit sad how far they fell off the wagon and dropped the magic ball they once had. I wonder if it's uncaring talented writers or is it just untalented writers trying, and unable to hit the nail on the head with the story due to inexperienced moronic ideas. If the TV show had gotten this bad they'd have been cancelled a year or two ago.
I expect you to criticize the game not throw bullshit around.
Well we so sorry for saying the Truth. If you call the truth a bullsh#t
Well the team on the tv show have robert with them and the walking dead its his own story he know how to make it better and better by the time and the same writers from the start till know are working on the tv show story unlike telltale who came up with Beginners writers who nothing like the writers of season on to fu#k the game story up
There's a difference between saying the truth and just ranting hate because you're angry. I barely see any criticism on the game. What I see most often is bashing Telltale.
To be fair, Naughty Dog is like, one the few incorruptible companies I can think of nowadays. Or rather, one of the few incorruptible AAA companies, to be more specific.
They've always seemed to care about making games above all else, never really falling victim to greed and what such
As far as I'm concerned, that's a rarity in the games industry right now, which is a shame, because while ND does have a lot of talented people working there, they aren't really doing anything special that makes their games so great-- the simple fact is that they care. That's why their games turn out as good as they do. It's not some big mystery, they just demonstrate a simple trait that the gaming industry at large seems to forget with each passing day; passion. There are a ton of other developers that could easily compete with ND if they showed that same amount of initiative and passion as they do.
Hell, games overall would be better if everyone else showed the same level of initiative and passion as Naughty Dog does. That's what the industry really needs... that's what everyone that enjoys video games deserves.
They want the money, but lack the inspiration. They don't have that spark anymore.
There's been so many threads talking about the actual problems, what more do you want?
