What did I miss?
I after feeling a bit disappointed with the first 2 eps of this season had decided to take a break from the game and this community hopefully waiting till the season is done with to come back. I came back to check on the status of ep 3 a lot of hate at telltale for reasons that I have not seen. Could a enlighten individual help a dude out?

Why certainly.
Telltale: "We appreciate and listen to fan feedback, it is very important to us."
Season 3: Telltale does everything we didn't want them to do.
That pretty much sums up a lot of people's negativity, along with the blatant lies and the chaos behind the scenes.
I'm not trying to be a jerk to anyone in particular but I don't get what it is with the people on these forums hating the game mostly what you missed is more people just shitting on the game while people outside the forums (not including website reviews) actually likes the game like PewDiePie and most of my friends. I don't understand why people think telltale are doing this stuff wrong it's mostly people wanting to play as Clem more but one character doesn't make a whole franchise good like lee was able to die and the series moved on I don't want to be rude to anyone on the forums but I just feel they are asking for a little too much.
Yeah, asking for Clem to be playable outside of five minute flashbacks and asking episodes be actually longer than an hour is just TOO MUCH. And what's this with people being angry that they got rid of Kenny and Jane within 5 minutes and Clem having the same personality regardless of choices.
More time as a character who's been a major part of the last and only two previous installments and a comparable running time to the previous games is asking for a lot? I dunno. I can't speak for the pie guy, I don't generally do lets plays, but social media doesn't seem to be doing much better, and only one of my friends actually took the dive and came back to the series with me, unfortunately for me. Wasn't a happy conversation after he finally got around to finishing them.

That's about it.
I didn't mean to make anyone feel like they are complaining to much it's just my opinion we can each have our own but I think the series is doing fine. The only reason I'm not complaining about Clem is because it's called "A new frontier" not season 3, season 3 would be Clem's story this is the start of something new just with the little addition of Clem returning.
Honestly, when they dropped the Season 3 from the title was when the dread started to set in for me about where the series was going. I don't call anyone out for liking ANF, people enjoy what they enjoy and there's nothing wrong with that. I just share a lot of the complaints and feel they're valid, I'm a big fan of the series and in no way hope it does poorly or disappoints, be it me personally or anyone else.
Nothing is confirmed...fans are still salt licking telltale...telltale's continuity of making false promises...Jobs waited appearance to talk about the game...hope flying up and going down to the ground...I suggest milking yo brake from telltale like they did with the first 2 eps
Asking for too much?? Ok let's compare this season 3 game to season 1 shall we?:
Season 1 had 2 hours+ episodes. This season has 60 mins (took me 45 mins to finish ep2 seriously!) which is even less than Season 2! Due to the 2 hour length episodes of season 1, we had the chance to gain or see character development between those that we met. We were given the option to speak to every character, choose different options to ask them about themselves, to learn a bit of background info on them. We had a difference in relationships between Kenny and Lilly and Vernon and Brie depending on our choices. Our choices felt like they mattered, like they meant something.
We get fuck all in season 3 (just like we didn't in season 2, hardly any at least). In S1 we got tons of hubs for Lee to look at, items to pick up, optional things to do like feed people candy bars at the drugstore, get Carley's radio working, fixing the swing at the St John's, puzzles like fixing the train, we had wider areas to explore and generally WAY more gameplay. Season 3 is 90% choosing dialogue. Then you look at the prices of season 1 and 3 and you realise that this new game costs exactly the same as season 1 yet we are getting shafted by sheer lack of quality compared to the first game. The only remotely good thing i can say is that the story is the only interesting thing about it.
So when you say you feel we are asking for too much, maybe now you'll get why so many of us are pissed off with how fucking shit and lazy Telltale have become in the last 5 years.
On the other hand i realise you were not intending to be rude and you like this game which i'm very happy for you. Don't let myself and others put you off. But we are all entitled to express our distaste for a game we feel we have been fucked over with.
tfw you didn't learn how to make small text with hashtags
Hate speech. Reported.
