In your opinion.
In your opinion, do you think Telltale would ever decide to completely retcon the season so far? ANF didn't exactly receive bad reviews but we know that we were kinda cheated with the whole "EP 1 is so big we needed to continue it in EP 2" thing.
I'd honestly like to see them start the season anew but I don't really see them doing that. Ugh... this whole thing feels like a mess.

Honestly, if they decided to retcon Jane and Kenny's deaths, I'd make a one-time exception for it personally. I mean, I can live with how things played out, even if I don't particularly agree with it, but if they decided to go back and change it, I wouldn't be complaining.
I hope not. Regardless of what people think of your work you should always stand by your creative decisions. Accept criticism and learn from mistakes, but don't go back on your creative decisions.
Well there has only been two episodes so far, I'm sure it's possible for them to have a great comeback in the next three if they include more clementine and AJ and increase the episode length.
While we all know they had a shaky start, I'm confident they can redeem themselves as there are still some of us that haven't given up hope and know that TTG are still one of the most brilliant and talented story tellers out there.
I know it started off a bit of a mess and we are all rather disappointed, I doubt they'll retcon the season as they've been getting good reviews from critics and reviewers which is unfortunately what they seem to care most about currently...that and the money.
All I'm saying is, it's still early days all we can do is be hopeful.
Yeah me to
No they shouldn't. As much as I and others don't like how the season is going so far, it's their project and they should stand by it. Learn from their previous blunders (even though it dosn't feel like it) and improve going foward.
This season is not Too far gone
It can be saved just listen to your damn fans...and oh for Kenny Jane Willington flashbacks they can show us another one but before the events of the episode one flashbacks...make a reason for it tho and there you have it problem 50% solved
I guess if you went to wellington and left Kenny, there is that chance he could still be alive because if he can somehow get out of that alley way, im sure he could survive being own his own and he'd probably find a new group. Interesting, be funny if he was apart of the new frontier but turned bad.
And, i don't think this season is gone, there's still 3 episodes and they tend to be the episodes that really make or break the seasons so lets wait until the whole season is out before we judge on how the season was.
Telltale:
As disappointed as I've been with the direction of the game and handling of the characters/the characters in the first two episodes, the damage is done. I'd rather they focus on building off the criticisms and fan feedback to try and deliver on the future episodes.
Just retcon Kenny, Edith and ESPECIALLY Jane's fates and let each path give new possibilities into the season.
Plus, give Clem some more screen time, she's the heart of the Walking Dead Telltale game series.
Also, add on for players whom have chosen Jane and letting the family in, give them each unique skill sets and moments for them to develop. But for the love of humanity DON'T. KILL. THEM. OFF. IN. THE. SEASON.
HAVE. THEM. PROGRESS.
And do it for any other determinant characters.
(Phew) And that's all I wish.
The idea of bringing characters back to life is always pretty dumb when you clearly see them die, however I would prefer if Kenny and Jane did come back due to how badly they were written off.
Honestly, seeing how bad their deaths were, it almost feels like Telltale wanted to do their own Glenn and Dumpster situation. Doing this would help keep the story linear for most of the season until they bring them back.
I mean seriously. I honestly cant honestly process that no one thought that killing Kenny and Jane like that would not have any backlash at all. Unless they weren't really going to be dead. Like I've said, theres still a chance they will pull a flashback/dream hybrid because these flashbacks only happen when Clem is about to go to sleep.
Also think about if someway we see a character from s1 or s2 that is still alive, the art could be terrible. See Kenny and Jane in season 3.
To be fair, those two were only around for 5 minutes so I can see how they'd halfass it(though not to the degree they did). If they bring anyone else back, chances are theyll make a model from scratch.
If Telltale were that desperate, they could have everything after Arvo shooting Clementine be a dream.
I'm not saying it's a GOOD idea. But it could hypothetically work.
...So, does Clem watch a lot of Spanish soap operas based around family-relationship drama then?
Well, there's not a lot on during the day lol
Just hoping that there would be like a remaster series to polish out some loopholes S1 had, and S2 actually having a purpose.
And replace Jane with Molly.
No. You should never retcon a previous installment no matter how bad it was. It's lazy IMO. You dug yourself into that hole and you gotta start digging yourself out.
(I liked ANF by the way. Just throwing that out there. But I'm sure you guys get what I mean.)
Telltale is not going to retcon the season, or the Kenny/Jane scenes. People just need to accept that and move on.
Going back would be the formal confirmation of game's wasted potential. By doing that, TT would admire they screwed up. Rewrites aren't good, especially when rushed. You do not go back in time when something bad happens, you try to focus and solve it as you go forward.
It's not fixing a problem, it's just sweeping dust under the carpet.
Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing something like that.
Maybe she thought Arvo was Spanish. Or misses Carlos
Yeah okay, it's a bad idea
Your wish is my wish and i couldn't agree more
At this point I just hope they make something nice out of A New Frontier, and make a season 3, or season 4 depending on what you will call it, could be certain advantages to calling it season 3, and then play as Clem again, I know not everyone wants that, but now we have a game with another protagonist, and Clem being older we can explore new avenues of her character.
But then again they might just kill off Clem this season, or never make her playable properly in a game ever again, but I feel like that would be stupid, in a sense, Clem and the Walking Dead is Telltales baby, and you dont kill your baby, especially not when that baby makes money
I had the alone ending in season 2, so I havent had much problem with the season so far, except throwing almost every plotline from season 2 out the window to play Javier, AJ is almost nonexistant so far, and even if he does play a big role, it doesnt really matter to the main character in the game, since thats Javier.
They could retcon it by having Clem's flashbacks of those scenes play out differently while still retaining the choices made for those episodes. For example, if you were nice to Arvo, the flashback of the scene where he shot Clementine could show him dropping the gun and shooting her by accident (contrived, but it could work, and it's definitely more believable than Sarah magically showing up under the floorboards).
Why thank you. Glad someone agrees with my opinion.
Yeah they really wet the bed on the season 2 endings.... shame, there was so much potential just for them to take the lazy and predictable route.
