Each time you can convince Sarah to help herself or you can convince Jane to try and save her. Sometimes things go wrong and you're not able to do anything. Sarah's dead from Sarah's pov says: "You need to get your sh*t together in order to survive" and from Clem's: "You can try your best to help, but sometimes it's not enough".
Sarah is a side character and Clem is basically whole point of the game. If Clem commits suicide it basically says that everything that a player gone through together with Clementine leads to her giving up on life. What else does such action say?
What you're saying doesn't really match up with The Walking Dead. Does the choice to leave Sarah send the message that in today's society th… moreose with disabilities are nothing more than hindrances? Yes it would be terrible for Clementine to commit suicide but not for the reason you said.
That would be a cop out: plain and simple. Telltale hyped Clementine to be this tenacious and brave heroine and for her to kick the bucket makes no sense. AJ would be a massive blow for Clem, but she always pushes forward and moves on because that's how they made the character.
Regardless, I think we all know Telltale isn't going to kill off their golden goose.
That action says that people, no matter how strong, can only take so much. It says that no one is invincible, and that we're all human. It would add some realism to the game, but it wouldn't be viable from a narrative standpoint.

You never know... they pretty much fucked over her character already in Season 3, they'll make her go out of character just like Jane and she'll jane herself.
If such thing would be implemented it wouldn't be because they want to add some realism to the game. It would be just lazy and rushed ending to a character that would never do that from a narrative standpoint of view.

It's actually kind of ironic that you would say that about Clementine possibly committing suicide but find that Sarah's death was okay from a narrative point of view. Sarah's was presented as if it was to add realism but it was blatant that killing her was just to get her out of the way for Kenny v Jane. Clementine is a little girl and literally everyone she's ever loved is dead, it's not outlandish to think that she would "punch her own ticket" if something were to happen to AJ. I wouldn't prefer that Telltale would end her story that way but it would make sense.

Sarah was always overprotected by Carlos which made her incapable to survive on her own. That usually leads to either death or redemption through power of friendship. Well, maybe Telltale gone for the first one just to get rid of her for Kenny vs Jane.
However, Clem had a bunch of guardians that teached her how to survive and she's more than capable survivor at this point. She's AJ's guardian and has to lead by an example.
In order for it to be not outlandish it should be executed perfectly with a lot of details, reasoning and effort. By judging how they deal with deaths in this season, I doubt that Telltale is capable of doing it the way that it would make sense.
I see how it would make sense and will be somewhat realistic. You have a point, but I still think that it would be most terrible idea to end main protagonist's life. That would make me outrageous, because all that would be a big waste of time and whole story of TTG's TWD would make 0 sense at this point.
Your life doesn't belong to you. You can't just suicide, because there's always who cares about you. For Clementine to die, you need to basically kill off almost every character that Clem ever met.

I agree with everything you said there. Telltale has killed off almost every character Clementine has met already. AJ is the only surviving friend she has from either of the two seasons. This was a mistake, they should have let more people from Season 2 live.

Sees name of the thread. Immediate reaction.

Telltale: It's Javier's story now so now let's kill Clem.

Wouldn't surprise me after seeing how badly scripted this season is so far, it's starting to turn into what Resident Evil has become.
let's just hope it doesn't get as bad as Paul Anderson's work
TellTale would only make Clem commit suicide if they were lazy and didn't care about the fans.
So it's a possibility.
