It seems it's more about the people. And I think the Walking Dead doesn't just apply to the zombies but the living people as well, because the people are good as dead.
And maybe the people are walking as in taking it real slow on surviving and then dying because they're too busy fighting each other to focus on surviving. Kind of ironic that zombies work more in concord than "civilized" folk.

I think the final battle with the Stranger is something close to what you're talking about. But how much of a boss fight would it be when it's just QTE...
I think in a way the Stranger, someone that reviews all your choices to decide what you get could be a way of doing a boss fight. Except there would be multiple endings... Stranger kind of missed that point and ended all the same.

That's the primary point of my view on the concept: a character who throws Lee/Clementine/Javier/whoever's choices and characterization back in their face. It's definitely one of several somethings missing from Season 2, which just had Kenny and Jane suddenly hate each other and fight, reducing the ending sentiment to the sad fact that Clementine has been reduced to having relatively little drive beyond who she ends up with.

Good point.

Not anymore.
Honestly, the Stranger fight was crap. It should have been more like this:
That's better.
That boss fight was crap. Too much focused on Joker's men.
