They don't give a fuck about the current story line because it's uninteresting and they're here because they want telltale to improve it, so they can give a fuck about it.
There are often a lot of creative stakeholders on a project like this, but the—good and necessary—friction plays out between creative leads and studio execs, not amongst the creative team. Creative has a hierarchy, so decisions usually get worked along those lines.

Whenever it is, I have to admit you've got steel balls to show up on this thread...a lot of us are so dumbfounded by a "staff visit" that we can't even shred you to pieces atm.
I can't say anything more than the dreaded word-that-shall-not-be-named, but I can say that Telltale is going to be at a bunch of conference… mores/festivals in March, so it's probably a safe bet that we'll be talking about Ep 3 at one of those...
And, like we said in February, it will be premiering this month! WE ARE IN THE FABLED MONTH!
They don't give a fuck about the current story line because it's uninteresting and they're here because they want telltale to improve it, so they can give a fuck about it.
Considering that only 9% of players or something saved Conrad, it'd be a big waste of mula and ressources to give Conrad any kind of importance, so yeah, I wouldn't count on it.
guys wwyd if Conrad actually stayed till ep.5 and actually mattered and hada masive role? it'd be interesting as not many ppl have him alive (including me)

Uhh, Guardians movie is out at May, while the game is coming out in April (as it is believed), plus the game will not have any connection to the MCU, so don't go out saying JUST because the game is HIGHLY anticipated due to its movie counterpart, and has raised the bar and excitement for us fans, it's the RESPECT towards its source material that needs to be concerned. Hype is hype but that same hype can go away instantly, like ANF

Saw it but I dunno if I'm planning to play it because I tried to play Borderlands 2 and it wasn't my style. However, if I hear that it'll have Rhys, Fiona, Sasha, Vaughn and other character from TFTBL, I might change my mind.
They don't give a fuck about the current story line because it's uninteresting
This is WHY, we should have Rick and the others find Clems group, c'mon Kirkman MAKE IT HAPPEN (I know it's impossible but a person can dream, right?)
All signs definitely point to that, and that's what I've been assuming the entire time. Some of the blame can be attributed to the writers, but the overwhelming majority lies with the upper management of Telltale. Their business and management style hinders the creative process as their appears to be a lot of micromanagement, meddling, and constant changes to either the team or the game itself because of some higher up changing something up in the middle of development. People are quick to blame the "talentless" writers, but even the best writers can only do so much when they aren't given the tools they need to fulfill their vision. This attempt by Telltale to appeal to newcomers, that doesn't sound like a writing/story decision that the writers wanted to do, it sounds more like a business decision to try and bring in more revenue. However, they also had to tell the writers that, along with creating a new character, background, and story, include Clem in it so they can still market it as a continuation and put her on everything, despite how minimal her role actually is. Oh, and they have to do it all by this date. The problems at Telltale continuously lie in the execs, not with the teams. Imagine if Telltale didn't become so money grubbing and greedy and decided to full on continue Clem's story and put their resources into that, I can guarantee you we would have had a much better resolution to our endings, instead of it being a lazy cop out, and the impact of it would have been much greater.
That art is coolie. I love the train one underground and creepy, but that new one is that the slaughterhouse...or Javier stumbling across a warehouse stashed with crates of Sweet Sue's whole canned chicken? >.> <.< because my guess is on the second one, but the first would be cool too.
I'm talking about THIS thread in particular. This is the waiting thread for episode 3 - season 3. I'm not talking about all the work of the company, I'm talking about The New Frontier. And take it easy, I'm not talking about EVERYONE here. Just some people that always come here to say shit about the game and the company. They only do that. I don't see "hope" or "expectation" in this kind of reaction.

Strange I've been here for 2 monthes daily but never seen that thread...thanks tho!
EDIT: now I've seen the thread it was created on October 2016...nice find better to sleep
I've reached the point where I don't care anymore.
The vast majority of us have reached that point 5 minutes into the e1 of season 3, and it is truly amazing how little it took of something primitive and shallow to ruin an entire world of genuineness, which took years of creative sweat and tears to build. That is pretty much art in a nutshell for you--tough to give birth too, easy to kill.

Buddy, I'm telling you it's time for Borderlands 3.
interesting
...which means there was zero friction during the creation of S3.

The more guardians, the better, I'm more excited for that than ANF
This is WHY, we should have Rick and the others find Clems group, c'mon Kirkman MAKE IT HAPPEN (I know it's impossible but a person can dream, right?)
That actually explains everything
This game doesn't deserve all of this....poor oll twd is shitty now thanks to telltale's beer overdose consumption +__+

Perhaps Brad Kane was the silent hero...trying to make the story as best he could... perhaps upper management had other ideas.
This is pretty cool, thanks for posting this Caroline!
Maybe some pics and details about both?

I didn't think the story could be worse than it is now but after reading your comment, it can be worse.
clem_is_awesome spotted something in the recently released screenshots...
Top right corner.

Lol wut you dont have to be in love with their current works to remain part of the community and to expect them to improve a beloved series
*ANF. As much as I do like the game, I refuse to call it Season 3.
Turns out, the homie was ok all along
Thank goodness, I was worried the homie wasn't okay.

Fair point, even if people are being critical they should at least offer suggestions or expectations for the next episode.
There was a big thread BetterToSleep made about that Capricorn Farm thingie.
I think I've reached the point where I don't care anymore. Dammit...I didn't ever want to reach this point with Telltale or The Walking Dead.

March...is here...
We can be hopeful for a release date next Friday at PAX east.
