I don't see where the problem is with the possibility of them being together. First thing is, I'd love that at the condition of Gabe not dying any time soon -- it would be the final strike for Clem. But aside from that, my thought is she could actually benefit from it. Learn that caring for someone isn't a deathly curse, but it gives you a reason to live. And at the same time, she could teach Gabe how to really survive on his own.
I don't see it happening this season because Gabe needs to have a bit of a basic development first. But if he survives, next season may give it a try. We'll see.
For now I ship it. I can kinda see this scene where they steal a bottle of wine from Kate (she surely hides some) and have a chat about their past somewhere. Gabe learning that Clem is actually broken and needs time and space to fix herself. And saying he'll be here for her, in case she wants to talk.
The thing with everything you put down here is that it sounds like you're more in favour of the idea of a romantic coupling for Clem rather than the actual couple being presented. Which is what I kinda don't mind as well. The problem is the actual partner that's been proposed here.
You talk about Clem and how she could use someone like that to learn from for stability or to give herself purpose. Which is fine, but I'd object to the idea of believing Gabe has either the emotional capacity or maturity to even help shoulder some of Clementine's burdens - we have absolutely no proof that he has any empathic skills that could ease Clementine's state of mind and might even worsen things, see: "Parents just love pretending the rest of us can't hear." Other personal qualities likewise make me believe that he wouldn't make a great partner - he's shown to be argumentative at times, ignorant to advice/counselling from others like Javier, unskilled in surviving (amongst other things). Even if he had some kind of humor to him - something to make Clementine happy as she's been shown to appreciate comedy - I'd be somewhat resigned to - yet he's so far had one of the most dullest personalities in the entirety of TWD. Even characters like Christa were at least capable of sarcasm.
Yeah, he could get some character development in this season that could pass on into next season... Maybe. It's a very optimistic outlook to have when Clementine is the only character to survive the veil of each season. And even so, there's no proof that Gabe or even Clementine will develop in the way that would make such a relationship appealing.
This might just be a petty point to end off on from me as well, but... I just don't think they look good together. In terms of design, their backstories, personalities... I don't know. That might just be coming from someone with very picky ships. I don't even massively couple Javi with either of the girls for example (cough JavixJesus cough).

It's up to the creators to make them a good couple. I'm not against it. I said that they only need a bit of a development from Gabe... but I don't think he's dull. I think he's just a kid. He has yet to see any kind of horror (and that's absurd, but it's Telltale's fault for putting plot holes...). Now with Mariana's death his character will maybe realize how hard the world is and "man himself up". Or he could just die. It's completely up to the creators.
If he doesn't have a good development, then I don't think Telltale would pair him with Clem anyway, so we shouldn't even worry about that. But if they're together, and Clem is happy, then who are we to go against her?
Until that, it's only harmless shipping. It's always happened in fandoms and always will.
(I don't see Javier good with any of the girls either, I don't think he has chemistry...)

Do you think it will go any further in the next episodes?
A kiss? maybe more?
telltale you don't dare... you gave us a little short time to play as clementine please don't ruin her ..
Thing that is getting me conflicted is that Clem is just so...Attractive this season, I mean like she's so cute. I'd date her if she was real. Relax, don't start calling me a pedo. I'm 15.
Oh. You're probably right on that too, I started thinking about it and I think she cried in episode 2, 4, and 5 s1, episode 5 s2, and episode 1 ANF(determinant, I think)
14 year old Gabe has only cried in episode 1 and 2 of ANF. He's almost halfway there, though!

If (and its a huge if) hypothetically I see Gabe stand up for himself in the next episode (preferably against David, his own father) I will be ALL FOR THAT in a heartbeat.

It's so cute when he says "She's not bargain, she's a friend!" and when he gets really pissed if you choose to accept Conrad's plan.
Sorry guys.
I ship it.
Sorry again.
yolo
He need a "redemption" first. He's not as bad as people say he is, he tries to grow up, but is just pissed at the world for everything anyone can be pissed at the world. If he has some kind of "redemption", like a deep talk about the meaning of growing up and if good and evil are actually as different as everyone says, or him being right when everyone else is wrong would work. But I'm still not sure about them dating.
I thought about this actually. If Javi convinces Gabe that if he doesn't want to be treated like a kid anymore, he would need to stand up for himself. With that said, I think Gabe standing up to his own father somehow would be the way to go.

I'm not bothered about a relationship between the two but if it goes any further than a peck on the cheek then I'm turning into the daughter's over protective dad

I'm turning into Larry.
I'm warning you Gabe, i have balls to do it, with pleasure.
I wouldn't be against it.

Too late, says some.
relatable
You're probably right, its unlikely he'll be manning up anytime soon.
I meant the crying thing.
he gon hit that ass, no further questions.

For a second, I thought I was in the weed thread again.

Technically, he already has, hasn't he?
Not towards David. I don't really know what's gonna happen, but if I see Gabe tell off his own father in the next one, that will be LIT.
It's cute to think that Gabe likes her, but her liking Gabe? ugh no.
If he can do it without crying the entire time, I'll give him props lol

I think that is what they are building to, so have your candle ready.

Eh, I actually prefer the S1/S2 graphics, personally.
She did seem pretty disgusted in S2, especially since she didn't know what the heck they were talking about.
Lol what's gone across your mind to reply that after 3 months
The episodes are already far too short, I really don't want this moron filling up any more time with his I wanna be a man bullshit.
You don't want to see his character undergo a story arc that should have happened years ago?
S3. did an alright job until Kenny, Jane and Edith showed up. But yea I'm neutral when it ones to which graphics are better
I'm not bothered about a relationship between the two but if it goes any further than a peck on the cheek then I'm turning into the daughter's over protective dad
I made the gun and boner joke
I wonder if clem understood the "gun in my pocket" joke
Be careful what you wish for.
STOP
Eeeh...agreed.
Late I know, but I think I heard he's actually 13.
Heck, I think the better question is "You don't want to see his character undergo one of the only story arcs we have so far?"
That doesn't really make it better though, unless he's a 13 year old girl.
THERE IS A WEED THREAD WHY I DIDN'T KNOW OF THIS BEFORE
Yeah, I liked the more cartooney style too, gave the game its own charm
