My Thoughts On Season 3
Wow! How can one of my favorite game series of all time turn to such shit. You've really outdone yourself this time TellTale, I'm astounded.
My problems with season 3:
1) You don't play as our beloved Clementine and it seems that you are forced into this new role of a man named Javier. Nothing really sticks out about Javi to me, he's such a bland character to me. There's no memorable dialogue with Javi as there was with Clementine and Lee. I would much rather play as someone that is unique instead of your average Joe like Javi is. I would be fine with not playing with Clementine as long as the character replacing her was ACTUALLY SPECIAL
2)Our season 2 endings make no impact on the new game. As always, it seems that your choices do not make any change in the next season but a few changes in dialogue. Besides the fact that Kenny was killed off in such a quick and stupid (almost as bad as Luke), I liked how the other two endings translated into the next game. I feel like there's no impact on the game with our choices and that is a major flaw in your game if it's a game based on choices
3) Now I get that TellTale is trying to make their new games look more modern, but holy shit the characters from season 2 are UNRECOGNIZABLE. I really loved the art style of season 2 and I feel as if that's another key factor in TWDG. Everytime i popped season 2 into the disc tray, that art style brought nostalgia to my heart. I really hate the steps that telltale took to make their game look completely different and due to that, it feels like a completely different game.
4)The characters. Holy shit I feel like there are only 2 characters I really like that have had actual character development. Now, I felt that season 1 had this character development thing down right and season 2 was a bit shaky on it but SEASON 3 GIVES US THE BLANDEST CHARACTERS WITH NO DEVELOPMENT IN THEM WHATSOEVER. Javi, as I explained earlier, is pretty much your average Joe with no memorable actions or lines in the game so far. Kate, I feel like is one with actual character development who was emotionally abused by Patrick and is forced to take care of a child that is not hers. Gabriel on the other hand is your average teenager who feels like he needs to redeem himself in this apocalypse while I couldn't give a flying fuck about his mediocre character. Marianna, I feel like we knew nothing about her character and we never got to really talk to her before she was shot and killed. I cant say much about her but I feel like TellTale killed her off too early to actually impact our emotions.
5)CLEMENTINE. I love how TellTale makes her attitude change when you teach her different things in Season 1 and 2. The main problem I have with her is that I feel like she is a totally different character than she was in Season 2. I don't think of her as our ol' Clementine, instead I think of her as some random person that we strolled past in our game. Maybe the gap in between season 2 and 3 were too long and I feel like I've lost that emotional connection with Clem even after replaying season 1 and 2. And her being in the New Frontier makes her even MORE of a stranger to me.
Anyways, my venting is done. I might pretend season 3 never happened if it keeps going the way it is. Now I want to hear your thoughts on season 3 and maybe show me whats so great about it.

Yeah Im really happy to see telltale getting ripped a new one, I can't believe they weren't expecting huge backlash. Like what the fuck? Kenny, Jane and Edith's model. EWlike how the fuck did there models make it into the final product.

Completely agree with you on every point. Telltale fucked up. Steam's recent rating is now at "Mixed - 66%" with the yellow colour lol (and still decreasing). Overall is at 84% and still decreasing. This isn't the official Season 3 - I refuse to call it Season 3.

Anyways, have you paid attention to Kate's story with David? The way David is treating her is effecting her mentally.
Too bad Telltale considers us the minority and doesnt care for what we think. If they don't turn things around with the writing I will no longer be a fan of Telltale.
The thing is we're not the minority. Almost every positive review has problems about the game (but they rated it positive for some reason lol).
Now the reviews went as far as going to mixed and being piss coloured (reflecting the state of the game... being piss).
Telltale won't move a toe on this, they need more negative numbers than that besides it's public picture is looking like a clean glass although it's truly inside full of shit...Oh well sad days
Just messing with you on that one man. But yea, I paid attention, Kate is literally flirting with the brother of her husband who hasn't been around for years, because her (newish?) husband is a veteran as they made a point of noting that the glass she carelessly broke was a gift from his commanding officer who died serving. She had every right to assume he would be kinda pissed that he did that, and a couple arguing doesn't equate to an abusive husband. He obviously has some issues and her continued assertion that she wasn't ready to care for another woman's children combined with her actions during the second flashback speak very lowly of her as a person.
Yep, agree with everything except the Kate part. I find her to be just as bland and generic as Gabe and I couldn't care less for either of them. I'm honestly at a point where I'm hoping they will both die. Actually, just kill everyone and have the end of the season be Clementine waking up at Jane/AJ/Kenny's side. A few years later Telltale releases a new season. Season 4: The Actual Season 3.

1.Will Clementine be Killed off?
2. Will The Apocalypse End?
3. How long Will the game series go on?
4. is Christa still Alive?
5. Will Javier die at the end of Season 3?
6. Will we ever see Molly again?
7. is AJ going to grow up and be the main character in future Seasons?
8. is Clementine and AJ going to be the last Survivors at the end of the Walking dead game series?
I'm pretty sure TellTale is going to pull the plug on this series after this season, unfortunately.
I actually really enjoy playing as Javier. We didn't play as Clem in Season 1 either, so I'm not understanding why everyone is so up in arms about it this season. I think Javi will develop more as a character and become more interesting, especially now that David is back in the picture.
It's disappointing. I chose for her to go on her own in the end so it made more sense when translating it over into this game, but Kenny dying in such a weird way is odd.
Agreed. Don't like what I've seen of Kenny or Jane. It doesn't feel like a whole new game and the graphics are actually working better on my platform, but still.
I guessed that Mariana was going to die because of the whole dialogue with the candy bar with Clem. Kate and David will be two interesting characters to watch. I'm not expecting much out of Gabriel, but I think they'll try to surprise us with him.
The only thing I can say is that we're all guessing that AJ is dead. She's not the same person that she was in Season 1 or Season 2. We saw bits and pieces of this Clem in Season 2, but she's fully grown into a tough ass girl who isn't taking crap from anyone else. She may have had to watch Kenny or Jane or/and AJ die. She has no one left except herself and a thirteen year old girl is not going to be the same scared little kid after all of that.

I think they'll be done after this season. They can't go too much further into the past because they're already on the same timeline as the show with Jesus being introduced.

I Know people will be like LEE IS DEAD!!! but lets be real for a second do you really Think telltale will Kill off the GREATEST WALKING DEAD CHARACTER EVER? a lot of people liked lee because of his courage compassion and determination Lee was VERY protective of clementine
and was willing to go through ANYTHING to keep her safe. season 2 wasn't the same without lee but telltale brought Kenny back which a lot of fans
were happy about but still didn't forget about Lee. i Know lee is LONG GONE and will stay dead for the rest of the game series but ALOT fans still

- Dialogue not matching up to what it's suppose to.
- - Jane & Kenny being written off in such a lazy & disrespectful way.
- Gabe potentially being a love interest for clem.
- Javier dropping the gun
- Ninja jesus, path of paul monroe. The wall running thing although cool It made javier look less cool imo.

Those are my problems with season 3 so far.
Clem is single handedly the reason why I'd even bother continuing the new frontier and the sole reason why I wanted the new frontier to begin with. Javier is a decent character and I think Jesus is kind of cool. I don't like him though.
