And I have completely regained my love for the series. :)

I'm so excited for the next episode!!! So what is something you guys are anticipating for the next episode?

  • Shoving my aluminum bat up Badger's ass.

Above The Law could be the most dogshit creation TellTale has ever released, but as long as I get to kill him, I'm as cool and satisfied as can be.

    • Longish episode (100-120 minutes would be good, more would be better)
    • Choices to actually matter (let's see how much of a role Conrad plays if you kept him alive, as well as see what role Clem will play if you sided with him. Also, for our Season 2 endings to actually influence Clem's behavior)
    • Gabe actually going through with his promise (I know people hate him, but I'm waiting to see if he will actually stick true to his words or if he'll just pussy out)
    • More Tripp (you can never have too much of him)
    • More playable Clementine (longer flashbacks that either give us more insight into how/why she joined ANF, her bond with AJ, or our Season 2 endings)
    • Not for it to take away from Javier's story (I really do like him as a PC, he has the potential to be one of Telltale's best protagonists)
    • Badger's death
    • David and Javier's brotherly rivalry (despite the little time we got devoted to it, I loved this part about the first two episodes. It definitely seems like David is jealous that Javi was the favorite son and that he had the opportunity to make it big, but screwed it up. I really want to explore their relationship a bit more.)
    • No love triangle between Javi, Kate, and Eleanor (these things never work out, I don't know why writers try to put them in).

And I cannot stress this point enough:

    • NO CLEM AND GABE
  • Did you play ANF?

  • I have completely regained my love for the series.

Replay ANF and you'll lose that real quick. ;)

  • Y'all are so negative XD

    It could always be worse.

  • I could look for my post in the expectations thread, but off the top of my head...:

    • Some answers regarding Clementine
    • Conrad's plan to pay off and mean something
    • Vindication for Gabe
    • Kate to justify her presence on the promo art
    • David to be a fleshed out character in his own right
    • Tripp to either get a point or die
    • Screentime and focus for Eleanor
    • Ava!
    • An asspull that makes Badger interesting or at least worth the space
    • Kate, Gabe, and determinately Conrad getting things to do in general--Kate especially
  • Only if its Euro Truck Simulator. And were approchong that level.

That's what we said during season 2. Don't say it again because you'll jinx it.

I liked video games better when they didn't try to appease fans. Let the guys make the game and then decide if you like it or not. Too many cooks...

  • I'd say we already jinxed it by repeating time after time that it will be terrible.

  • In this case it's about making a quality product. Right now telltale has made a very lackluster, poorly written and poorly executed product that people don't like and want improvement on.

  • I just wonder what it would have been if they had made it without all the feedback; negative or positive. Just made the thing and put it out there without asking do you like it or not.

  • I never recalled telltale "asking" more like they had to acknowledge and accept the negative reception and embraced the positive. If they didn't incorporate any feedback it would have been just like the previous 2 episodes. Also it's beneficial for companies to acknowledge and learn from valid feedback. A company thats closed minded and not wanting to accept the feedback of the consumers of that product will prevent them from learning how to improve future products.

  • This forum is just one big question of do you like it or not hosted by the makers of the game. See when I was younger writers would write something a complete something, not write a couple of lines then pass it around and say what should happen next. Trying to appeal to everyone only provides a lower quality product for everyone. It cheapens the art.

  • If you replayed them back to back, the quality drop in season 2 should be pretty noticeable

  • I thought I answered this? Oh well.
Technically, it's when an author invokes a new plot twist without properly foreshadowing it. I really just used it to further state how much I don't like him.

  • as in pull it outta their ass. I get it thanks.

  • On the brightside, I restarted Season 2 after playing the first two episodes of ANF, and the rise in quality was amazing.

  • I think, ANF has its ups and downs, but I hated most how they treated Kenny and Jane. Kicked them in the dirt and spat on them. Also that we didn't get to continue the story based on S2 choices.

I do like introduction of new characters, faces and sceneries, that's why I loved 400 days. But the chars they chose... Hmmm not all of them convince me, let's put it that way. But ANF isn't over yet, so far I am OK with it, as I said, ups and downs.

  • Okay, so I've finally played the first episode of ANF at a friend's house, and I have a question:

...Was the second episode really THAT bad??

I have to ask this about the second one, because I've really enjoyed my time with the first. The characters you're teamed up with are better than the ones in S2, the visuals are nice (a little shiny for my taste, but I think they're fine), the choices are decent (though I found myself using the "silent" option at times because none of the other options matched up to what I would've said in that situation), overall I thought that it was good for a telltale game (which may sound like I'm implying that this doesn't say much, but I genuinely mean that as a compliment). So if the first one is fun, this has to mean that the second one is the one that turned the series in a bad direction... right? Am I just crazy??
