After the carnival incursion last week, the Walking Dead returns.
I have forgotten what the premise of this episode is, but it's back.

Great, I'm missing the first few minutes because my TV has to execute a channel rescan. Fuck my life.
Well if that's wasn't the shortest cold open of the series then I would be surprised.
It's already a commercial now, jeez.
What happened, what did I miss?
It was just some Kingdom people putting a fruit? Egg? Something in the back of a truck, but it was the only thing there.
I can't remember his name, but I think Morgan's apprentice is going to die and THAT gets Ezekial & Morgan into fight mode.
Benjamin. It's possible. Maybe they're just setting him up for stuff later in the storyline. But I can see it definitely.
cantaloupe
Oh I get it. So the "Royal" Garden is the produce just for the Saviors. Now that they have to start pulling from the "Community" Garden, people are going to start asking questions.
I got some laughs from the woman Ezekiel talked to and Ben just dodging Morgan's question about the girl.
Also did anyone know what the picture was of? It was a little hard for me to process.
And Jerry eating. Heh.
I totally think Benjamin might die this episode. I feel it in my gut.
Goddamn it I fucking love Jerry.
I tell you, out of all the communities, The Kingdom has the most personality. Even more than Alexandria and that's our main cast.
Oh he's totally going to die.
If they kill Jerry I swear to Negan.
I think Jerry is safe, but just that long haired cretin hitting him made me nearly blow a gasket. Why do they keep bringing this fool?
It'll probably be Ben. A shame.
It's kind of idiotic. Gavin should know that he puts the agreement at risk and force him not to come.
The real question is where that last cantaloupe is. Did Carol take it by setting the trap? Or did Richard do it all?
I immediately thought Richard. He's trying to force King E to act.
FUCKING RICHARD.... that's the look of a guilty man.
Yep. I don't think he expected Ben to die. I think he might have been expecting himself to die.
I understand now. Richard made the trap so he could get rid of that one cantaloupe. He killed the zombie Carol had injured. He dug the grave and put the sign because he assumed he would die and they would figure it out and everything. That's also why his daughter's bag was there. He wanted to make Ezekiel realize the Saviors were not negotiable through his martyrdom. Morgan is going to pissed. Like clear pissed.
Man, Morgan almost went "clear" again.
He is a Richard in the truest sense of the word.
Don't breathe that sigh of relief just yet. He might still be there.
This has been some of the best storytelling they've done all season
Didn't the backpack have guns in it too? so when they fill in the grave they find the guns.
yeah I think he's gonna help Richard Clear his conscience.
Holy fuck Morgan.
Yeah, you were right.
Still, I couldnt believe they just stood there and let him choke Richard to death. Good lord!
Morgan is having a Kenny moment with Ben/Clem and Dwayne/Duck.
Well Scott Gimple wrote this episode, so I'm not really surprised.
Well that was pretty messed up. But that makes sense knowing Morgan. They just stood there and watched Richard die. But hey I'm pretty sure this will still lead to him being a martyr for all of this.
I also think Morgan might go after that one Savior.
If he could strangle Richard to death, Im sure he has something special planned for Jared.
Oh crap here it comes...
He's so casual about killing Richard too.
CAROL IS FUCKING BACK! The Saviors are fucked now, because one army Carol is about to fuck up their shit.
Morgan is low key the most savage character. And Lennie James is the best goddamn actor on TWD
Wow talk about symbolic actions. Morgan whittling his stick into a spear. That's a subtle yet powerful image.
That exactly what I thought about when I saw that
"Well I like getting personal when I do my killing."

I really liked that episode. Morgan ones are always good.
loved this episode. only thing that i didnt love what that bullshit they did when they shot Ben. cmon now, enough of that shock shit. no i dont mean that they killed ben, meant as in how they edited. cmon thats cheap. can we have Gimple write a couple more episodes? pls? also kinda call bullshit how the kingdom people just let morgan kill him and didnt even try to stop him. why? whatever.
9/10
The guy always had it in him, his friend's teachings were helping him supress it. Interested to see if we'll see a mix of both sides of Morgan now.
One a side note: Really love how Gavin got a bit jumpy when Morgan approached him after strangling Richard.
