  • What's the reasoning? I highly doubt I'd shoot David. We've seen little of him but he's one of my favorite characters right now. Then again Kenny was my favorite and I never thought I'd shoot him. If I don't have to I definitely won't.

  • No way.

David actually has potential and shooting him would waste it. From what we saw in the trailer, he seems to care so little and I actually admire that.

If he just dismisses Marianna's death/blames Javi, he might actually gain my respect a little. That would make me feel uneasy, and a Walking Dead villain hasn't made me feel that way in ages. I just thought the twist of him leading The New Frontier was dumb.

But if he's a good villain, then David can right that wrong. No bullets from me.

  • No. Unless he makes me want to

  • I will shoot David with no hesitation. I don't feel attached to any of the characters this season.

  • No!
Because I don't know everything yet! I'm not one of "Kunny looked like a hobo, and died so fast, this season sucks, boohoo!" after 2/5.
No. I need to get whole story.

  • I hope we also get the chance to shoot Gabe.

  • Bit dark, however I want him gone too

  • David is the only depth opportunity we have with a lot of our cast atm. It would be a shame to end him that quickly. I really hope they don't make him a simple villain for this story. He has a ton of potential to expand on Kate, Gabe, Clem, and Javi's story.

  • I can see where you’re coming from, in that it would be unsettling to see such an apathetic villain (and not in a sociopathic way), but in David’s case you’d have to consider his personality as previously shown. IMO David just brushing off Mariana’s death would seem a little anticlimactic/out of character to me, bearing in mind his angry outbursts from before the apocalypse. Though, it would be interesting to see him become more well-tempered as a result of the apocalyptic world (which is likely opposite of many TWD villains and anti-heroes).

But to answer @IonutuPlay 's original question, I can’t just say that I would or wouldn’t shoot David without being given a proper context. Am I playing as Javier or Clementine? What has he done to Clementine? How has he treated the Garcias since they reunited? Does he pose a risk to Clementine/Javier/the Garcias if we do not shoot?

That would be an interesting development. His line when reuniting with Clementine seems like it could be indicating that.

  • Depends on the context. If you mean this upcoming episode, probably not seeing how it'd be a waste to get rid of the villain after one episode and an ending. * coughcough*

  • Im gonna give him Marianna's candy bar.

  • Are you referring to someone

  • Uh sure, not like he'd live that long if you don't shoot him anyway.

  • I'd like to hear his story first. Also Javier is starting to run low on family members if this choice pops up.

  • If I got a goddamn chance to shoot David,Ava and Badger,I WON'T HESITATE TO KILL THEM

And let's just imagine that David as Mike,Ava as Bonnie and Badger as a goddamn Ruskie(Arvo) cuz I really want to kill Mike,Bonnie and Arvo in season 2.

  • I dont want to kill him in episode 3 or 4 because the rest of the season would be boring. But if I dont kill him, Telltale will give him a stupid death.

I wish that David gets alive to the final episode, and have the option to kill him or not in there. I would decide if I pull the trigger depending on what he does.

  • I definitely think that the best TWD villains are the ones you are unsure about, the ones that make you uneasy, but still seem trustworthy, as they are the one to watch out for (as Michonne so elegantly put it "Humans ARE worse, they scare me the most"), Walkers and villains like Carver are predictable, but people like the Stranger and (hopefully David) who are wildcards, are so much more interesting

  • Depends on alot of things, I could imagine it being like a final season choice sort of deal, although that would be boring, considering they already did that in season 2.

I dunno, it depends alot on his involvement and development in the next episodes, however if its a choice between loyalty to Clem or David, it will be Clem

  • As of right now, no. We dont know enough about what is unfolding to know if David is definitely a bad guy. I will take him out of he poses a threat to Clem or AJ, but as of now I think he still has some humanity left.

  • But... Carver lasted two episodes (i.e. the Carver "problem").

  • What'll likely happen is he'll get overthrown by Badger and company for being kind and inviting towards the Garcias and then the two factions will go to war with each other.

IMO the only reason this couldn't happen is because of his relationship with Clem.

  • Judging by the teaser if they do anything for aj then IL kill him everytim

  • It depends. If they go with a Cain/Abel relationship, which has been done to death I'll have no problem pulling the trigger. If they're going to reference a biblical brother relationship and go with a less cliched Exodus type of thing I might be more interested (Javi's got a very Moses like pose in the slide for Episode 5 and Gabe is David's first born son so...).

  • You know what, I forgot about the Cabin scene. My bad.

My point is they did that before, with the Season's story being aborted in favor of the Jane stuff and Carver ended up being one of my few hated characters for being a one not douchebag. ANF, for all it's faults, has a more streamlined direction with a more manageable cast that's also based to the main characters. So this is their chance to tell a cohesive story right as well as fully utilize the villain and I hope they stock to their guns this time and deliver.

  • Don't forget Ava!

I definitely think that the best TWD villains are the ones you are unsure about, the ones that make you uneasy, but still seem trustworthy,

  • If he has anything to do with The New Frontier taking AJ away then yes, I won't even hesitate, but if he had a reasoning to do that or was forced to then probably not.

  • Honestly, he's my last hope for the Garcias, and has an interesting enough history for the situation he's in to be a very intriguing character. If episode 3 opens with him punching Javier again, he'd have to pull some real shit to make me want to shoot him. Ultimately though, regardless of how well he's done the decision will come down to how his history with Clem plays out.

  • I must ask... have you pinpointed any other biblical parallels within any of the seasons? I remember the purgatory from s1 but that's it.
