The funny thing is that 95% of players (who killed Conrad) will barely see Clementine in Episode 3. If Clementine is with you then she and C… moreonrad will have some interesting interactions in this episode. I don't want to spoil anything but those who killed Conrad will miss some interesting stuff.
She's a free spirit, that one. I'd be almost surprised if Gabe didn't share that sentiment if it wasn't for David and his own desire to meet new people.
You guys are so intolerant and delusional. Him liking Clementine in any sense of the term isn't exactly a bizarre occurence: up until ANF, [almost] EVERYONE liked Clementine in some sense!
Besides, he's pretty much saying what a lot of people are thinking anyway.
So if anyone's interested, there's a little Kenny reference after Javi Lucilles Badger, Jesus tells him that he could become a monster, and Clem says: "My friend took a crowbar to someone once." Is that what Telltale said would be determinant if Clem watched Kenny kill Carver?
Okay, might as well give my early impressions 27 minutes in:
The previously on segment was embarrassingly lackluster. Seriously, did the person in charge of editing that just not give a shit?
That opening flashback-- * mmm-Mwah! * Beautiful!
Kate and Gabe still keep their titles as the 2nd and 3rd best characters; in there was any doubt about whether I liked Gabe, the first two minutes of screentime got rid of it. I hope Conrad solidifies his place as well.
Poor Drew, man. Kinda wondering if that mark on Javier's back-shirt will be important later, though.
Great to see Mariana took steps towards being RftSH in her brief amount of screentime. That creepy ass zombie-rabbit doll in particuar is something Clementine and Sarah couldn't've had.
Tripp feels like he's taking steps towards finally having some direction, even if he still feels just a little too close to Kenny. Hope there's some variation with Conrad's presence taken into account.
Not sure what to think about Eleanor's screentime so far. Fingers crossed, man--don't go down that road!
David seems kinda-sort cool-ish so far, but I'll need to see more to decide if I like him due to how sporadic his scenes feel.
The Great Diamond Authority controls Richmond--David is Yellow, Joan is Blue, Clint is White, and Dr. Paul Lingard is Pink! That's some delicious world-building we going there.
Ava, duller color scheme and possible VA change aside, continues at exceeding my expectations! Can't wait to see/hear more from her with David, as well as her in general!
That scene with Gabe in the hospital was so corny, I'll the male equivalent of "cute." Though that play-fighting animation is laughably bad
Wtf kinda name is Dr. Lingard? Anyway, I wanted to say I liked him, Yuri Lowenthal-type voice, Eleanor-bone, and all, but I get the feeling somethings not on the up and up about him. Luckily, Gabe's in the room to keep an eye on him--just wish Javier could've warned him.
Will continue to watch, but enjoying what I'm seeing so far!
I don't think she wanted to imply that. She says that "I'm sure you did the right thing" and "Sometimes there's just no other way to make things right", which I understand as "It's not pretty, but sometimes you gotta do it".
For anyone who wants a quick summary of Episode 3. Be aware that this may not be 100% accurate due to alternative choices or with me not remembering some details:
Episode starts with a flashback sequence starring Javier, Kate, Gabe, and Mariana.
David is relieved to see Javier, Kate, and Gabe and invites the group in peacefully, though Tripp is hostile due to what has happened to Prescott.
There are actually more than one leader in Richmond, and they kick Javier, Tripp, and Jesus out for Javier's actions in Episode 1 and 2. I'm assuming that it happens no matter what as they may find whatever excuse to kick Javier out.
Clementine was kicked out because she stole medicine for AJ, who was dying. She holds a grudge against David for having her kicked out due to her holding AJ's safety above his group. She only appears 40 minutes in, and she is only playable in this flashback.
David eventually leaves Richmond on his own and assists Javier during the scene where the group is trapped in a warehouse that David had sent Javier to. Once David tries to get in Clementine aims a gun at Javier for trying to let David back in the warehouse, though I assume he gets in regardless. They all eventually fight Badger and Max inside after barricading the door from the walkers.
Badger is a jerk and nothing more, and he dies by bleeding out due to having been shot by a shotgun at close range (I presume) or having his head smashed open with a bat.
Max betrayed The New Frontier and helped Joan (one of the leaders of TNF) and Badger raid other communities to supply Richmond. David is shocked by the revelation and claims to have no idea of the raids. Max is determinant, as he can be killed by Javier for trying to kill him and everyone else.
AJ's fate is ambiguous. David claims he is still alive but somewhere in Richmond that David doesn't know. Clementine seems reluctant to believe him, though she is willing to return to rescue him.
Kate, Gabe, and Elenor are in Richmond for the majority of the episode. Javier's group sneaks back in Richmond to meet up with Kate and Gabe, while Clementine leaves to find AJ, presumably. They find out from Kate that David may lose his position as leader because of Joan, who is ordering her men to carry out raids for Richmond.
David plans to move everyone to David's house for safety, but Kate refuses to as she wants to leave the community entirely. Eventually, Kate and Gabe goes to David's house in this walkthrough video while Tripp and Elenor catches up later. Ava approaches to ask Javier to return to Richmond to help David confront Joan. David loses his position, and Ava leaves while Javier and David are imprisoned by Joan's people. The episode ends.
Oh, and as for Conrad, I have no idea what role he plays due to him being killed off in the previous episode.
If that's the heartbreaking scene then I'm disappointing but at the same time not surprised...Maybe I'm just numb to anything that happens in this series lol.
I don't think she wanted to imply that. She says that "I'm sure you did the right thing" and "Sometimes there's just no other way to make things right", which I understand as "It's not pretty, but sometimes you gotta do it".
They say "we are implementing fan feedback" literally, the #1 complaint was that the episodes are way too short. Not just here, but everywhere you will see this complaint. No one is happy with it. Then Job tweets "BIG EPISODE"! Then, a 4 month delay. You know what that leads us to believe? An actually bigger episode we've been longing for since 20 fuckign 14. We got shafted though. Again.

So... this episode is ok. Not amazing or good though, but better than ep1/2, but that's honestly not something to be proud of.
Other than Ava, Clem and Kate, no other character impressed/interested me. David is a selfish fuck, and thank god Jesus is gone, he was really boring in this episode.
Other than Clem's flashback, no other plot interested me, this Joan(That's her name?)-war isn't interesting for me.
They actually gave a decent time to know ANF, since you have about 35-40 minutes inside it talking and knowing people ( that's really something comparing to... well, Prescott ).
Still think some dialogues are kinda weird/cringe to me... maybe it's the voice acting, maybe the dialogue itself. I don't know.
I wish I could say I'm excited for what comes next, but since I'm not interested in this Joan-war and since it's gonna be the plot for EP4 and maybe EP5... well... I'm happy that the quality raised, but I hope they come with something more interesting next.
It's not long. Premier was PAINFULLY short. E3 was barely 20 minutes longer. That doesn't make it big. It's still painfully short. They know its not longer, they know it's not big enough, they know people hate it. They're blatantly lying now.
We technically did have a longer episode from Telltale, just not long enough to match the playtime that the episodes from Season 1 had.
85-90 minutes is simply not long enough for me.
Comments
Got my wish. Bout damn time! Is there a video of the Conrad stuff up yet?
Great. Now I have to get off these forums until I can play it. Thank you Telltale you *******!
She's a free spirit, that one. I'd be almost surprised if Gabe didn't share that sentiment if it wasn't for David and his own desire to meet new people.
I don't get it.
"AJ had you"?
part 2 he survived clemetine fucked up
It means he likes Clem and TellTale seems ok with the idea of Clem and Gabe being together. Meanwhile everyone else is like:
You guys are so intolerant and delusional. Him liking Clementine in any sense of the term isn't exactly a bizarre occurence: up until ANF, [almost] EVERYONE liked Clementine in some sense!
Besides, he's pretty much saying what a lot of people are thinking anyway.
TT still salty Melissa Hutchinson trashed them?
Are you going to tell TNF about Badger or listen to David?
Cake or spinach stew?
so some people get it today and others have to wait until 28th?????
hahahahahahahah telltale is one of worst jokes i ever heard.
I, uhh... really don't know how to feel about this...
So if anyone's interested, there's a little Kenny reference after Javi Lucilles Badger, Jesus tells him that he could become a monster, and Clem says: "My friend took a crowbar to someone once." Is that what Telltale said would be determinant if Clem watched Kenny kill Carver?
Can someone spoil me on bashers fate? Thx
Okay, might as well give my early impressions 27 minutes in:
Will continue to watch, but enjoying what I'm seeing so far!
No he doe's it either way so i doubt it matters
Either left to turn By Javi or beat to death by Javi
broke the fourth wall
Also implying that Kenny was a monster.
Is the beat option brutal? Does he show fear?
Not really Badger accepts it pretty well and his heat looks pretty fucked up if you choose to keep bashing
he doesnt have a skull anymore
i'd say its brutal
Heh.
So the episode is for sure around 85 minutes long. I told you guys.
I don't think she wanted to imply that. She says that "I'm sure you did the right thing" and "Sometimes there's just no other way to make things right", which I understand as "It's not pretty, but sometimes you gotta do it".
Fatality
The bit where Clementine was sad about AJ kinda failed as I knew AJ was alive

Episode Time Total: 90 minutes
Did Telltale actually promise to make longer episodes, or was that something that the fans were hoping that would come true?
If that's the heartbreaking scene then I'm disappointing but at the same time not surprised...Maybe I'm just numb to anything that happens in this series lol.
Ah you're right. I was distracted by clem's rare appearance.
I'm glad it was 90 minutes but I'm not sure about what happened it seems like not too much happens ... I've only seen a few clips tho

It really worries me how less screentime and gameplay she's getting each episode.
We technically did have a longer episode from Telltale, just not long enough to match the playtime that the episodes from Season 1 had.

I mean it would've been really good if it wasn't really obvious AJ was ok

Almost 2 hours
Was there a Song during the Credits?
