if I saw the chance to take out someone as destructive as Kenny...yes I would. I have the knowledge to make it as painless or painful as I … morewant...and I know how to make it look like an unfortunate accident. And it would bother me not one damn bit. That is if of course we were in the zombie apocalypse.
In rl...probably not, but then again...I guess it would depend on the situation.
Couldn't agree more, I think what makes Kenny so special is that he feels real, he feels human, more than any other character. Telltale's probably never gonna create such a great, legendary character again.
Of course I miss Kenny. He was by far the most divisive and complex character in the series. He wasn't just some blank slate of a character … morelike Tripp, who'll suck your dick no matter what happens. Kenny, for some, was a horrible person who had an undeniable inability see past his own ideas with a tendency for loud, rash decision making, and yet, for others, he was a loyal and heroically determined friend and father figure who'd die for those he loved. Those are the qualities of an excellent character, someone that can be viewed both negatively and positively like a real human being, and I think it's that, above all else, that I miss about Kenny. Sure, I really loved his character, regardless, but the constant potential for discussion and interpretation of him and his motives was a real draw.
I'm still attempting to get over the dismal way he was written out.
Well one thing about Season 2 was that we were out in the wild for a lot of it and Kenny was in his element. Now that we are entering New Richmond...well that's just too urban for Kenny. I don't think he could handle it.
Yeah Dan, I am sure you will be a big help in the za. Sorry, but the way Kenny was acting, you do understand that he would have been killed in any sane group or kicked out alone.
ZA or not, i certainly wouldn't want to be around you. I would try and help troubled people such as Kenny instead of sickeningly wanting to kill him or anyone for that matter.
Jeez! Some of the things you find about people scares me
I did kill Kenny in season 2, but thats because it felt right, in a way, Kenny was a great man, he was a good friend to Lee, and a great "Uncle" to Clementine, but as we progress through the game, he gets more and more broken, and combined with his tendency to have a hard time seeing past any of his own ideas, he was getting harder and harder to "keep in check" so to speak.
But none of those things was the reason I killed Kenny, he needed peace, I think him dying by Clementines side, with a smile on his face is the best end he could get, he has protected Clementine for years, helped Lee when he needed it, it seemed only fitting that Clementine would put him out of his suffering.
Obviously I left Jane after I found out what she did, since she was literally the cause, and catalyst for Kenny losing it there, Kenny was unstable, but there was no need to kill him, until Jane went ahead and do something fucking retarded just to "prove a point", a point that was moot until she did what she did.
I think Kenny is probably the best character in TWD game (not my favorite, but the best), he is realistic, he takes initiative to do things, he might not always go about his ideas the right way, but he takes action, he protects the ones he love, he is loyal, even if hard to control or reign in, Kenny is the perfect example of a character who wants the best for anyone, but has a bunch of flaws that makes him imperfect, he is rash, so he makes mistakes and is too quick to make judgements, and the only person he has really ever listened to in some capacity is Lee, he is a hothead, his temper often gets him into problems, but its also what earns him his leader role and respect in the group, unlike someone like Luke, while a nice character, he doesnt get the same respect, because he is too passive, he is not a man of action.
All in all, Kenny is probably the best written character in the series, loyal, wants to help, but has flaws that makes him imperfect, and helps him feel real, and god damn, I didnt really agree with him throughout most of season 2, but god damn, his heart was in the right place, and I miss him so much.
It also doesnt help that I feel nothing for the new cast, Clem, Mariana and Jesus is pretty much the only characters I care about, and David has potential to become interesting, but he also has potential to become super Cliche. Tripp is just way too trusting, and doesnt have an ounce of the willpower or leadership that Kenny had, Eleanor is.. well, I dunno, Kates only real character trait so far has been trying to get in Javiers pants, Marianas only trait has been, cute interesting character only there to get killed for shock value (I barely felt anything at her death, since it was way too premature, and we had barely gotten any connection to the character yet, and frankly, I was way more interested in how her character would evolve, rather than Gabe, who is just a whiny teenager, who should have changed a long time ago, Fucking hell, he is in the zombie apocalypse for 4 years and still acts like a whiny brat. Javier is just way too flat and boring, doesnt have an interesting backstory, Lees backstory was brief but interesting, and played a role in the story, as well as being not very intrusive to the kind of character you made him. Clementine I will always find interesting, since she is the whole reason I got into this series in the first place.
Of course I miss Kenny. He was by far the most divisive and complex character in the series. He wasn't just some blank slate of a character … morelike Tripp, who'll suck your dick no matter what happens. To be fair Kenny did fix the truck...Really I think they should have held a group vote to decide it and at least then maybe Kenny could calm down about it. Probably not though.
Beating Arvo though was wrong definitely, but in the case where Arvo made his sprint along the ice he did risk people's lives in the process and deserved some form of punishment so he wouldn't try something so dumb again, never mind that he also led his group to ours to try and rob us.
I don't mean to sound heartless over the Arvo situation, and it might just be my 20/20 hindsight, but I think he deserved it.
At least his death was in character, how about that? He knew he was going to die and didn't want Clem to be a part of that unlike Jane, she didn't do shit.
Nope glad he is gone...only wish his death could have been more in keeping with his personality...like having him drown in a cracked septic tank...would have been poetic.
I don't now its hard to tell U how i feel about kenny he is a one hell of a character he made season one cooler with lily but in season two he seem totaly off for me he was like there is no need for him at all and he is being the person that make the group in pain wasn not the kenny i liked in season one he was the big boat master with badass motherfucker lee in season one but in season two he was like totaly lost and got a lot of pain i wanted kenny to have a person like lee around him in season two i wanted more of (you know urban ... Oh your not saying what i think you saying ....sorry man crazy shit come out of my mouth from no were) that is the kenny who i miss the pal not the father or the protecter i want lee bro
Yeah..I mean Kenny is sort of iconic in look..how do you mess it up...it is like they had never seen him in any game and was just handed a 2 year old's drawing and told to do something with that.
Still dangerous regardless. And Kenny had him on his lap, kept him warm, and Clem can convince him to go back to the fire so AJ won't get cold, which Kenny agrees to.
He would have been killed or kicked out by a sane group why? Because of his honesty when he's rude to people who don't appreciate what he's trying to do for them? Because he beat up a kid who shortly before hand was responsible with his Russian pals for ambushing the group intending to rob them? Sure you can look at him as the bad guy there but that to me is the typical one dimensional view that haters have of his character. Everything Kenny ever did was in the best interest of the people he was with and never himself. Unfortunately there were times that his actions weren't thought through and bad things happened but you know what? That is what makes him more human than anyone else in the games. Human mistakes, his realistic flaws.
At least with Kenny you can trust him. He never once lied about anything he ever did within the group unlike Jane or Mike and Bonnie's deceit
Yeah Dan, I am sure you will be a big help in the za. Sorry, but the way Kenny was acting, you do understand that he would have been killed in any sane group or kicked out alone.
Well Jane was not beating unarmed prisoners or demanding her way or the highway like Kenny....so thank you!
Again its like you instantly forget that the "unarmed" prisoner was responsible with his pals for trying to rob and possibly kill Clem and the gang earlier that episode but oh yes let's be nice to him because he's a kid and looks like Harry Potter!
And demanding his way or the highway, well if i had just got a truck working for a bunch of people who showed no gratitude, i'd be pretty pissed to be fair. Plus, despite that, Kenny still never abandoned them.
Yes! And same with Jane. It was the worst model designs i'd ever seen and shows how rushed ShitTale did on it. They just wanted their characters quickly designed and got rid of asap. Fuck them all for that shit
Yeah..I mean Kenny is sort of iconic in look..how do you mess it up...it is like they had never seen him in any game and was just handed a 2 year old's drawing and told to do something with that.
.Really I think they should have held a group vote to decide it and at least then maybe Kenny could calm down about it. Probably not though.
They did...and he just threw a fit, even if you suggested everyone sleep on it like I did; even on my first playthrough, that tested my [admittedly long-suffering] patience.

He was in shelter....hell Kenny kept the kid from the warmth of the fire..yet no one complains about that.
A baby inside a freezing car or being kept warm close to a human body hmm which seems better? I'd go with the latter lol.

If Kenny was indeed a real person, he wouldn't be killed by a sane group. A reasonable group would want to help Kenny, he also wouldn't be kicked out because he is NOT a liability to the group. Kenny has experience with hand to hand combat and is a really great mechanic
Yeah Dan, I am sure you will be a big help in the za. Sorry, but the way Kenny was acting, you do understand that he would have been killed in any sane group or kicked out alone.

Yeah, Jane told AJ before she left "now little "it" or whatever you are, if you get cold, just turn the AC on, it's that button there ok? You're not answering? Why? Well ok then seeya..."
They did...and he just threw a fit, even if you suggested everyone sleep on it like I did; even on my first playthrough, that tested my [admittedly long-suffering] patience.
People won't admit this but you know when he threw that fit or other times he got angry when people disagreed with him? It's because he actually cares deep down you know. Why else would he be bothered? Ok, you could say it's because he's not getting his way and that is probably partly true but i also look at it as annoyance that he feels the group are against him and doesn't appreciate that (from his POV), he's doing what he believes is right for everyone.
.Really I think they should have held a group vote to decide it and at least then maybe Kenny could calm down about it. Probably not though.… more

Yeah, I know the game has plenty of examples like that, but it was still kinda testing at a point where I had lost the only characters I liked and/or was invested in and was left dealing with people I was either indifferent to, didn't give a damn about anymore, or was getting increasingly pissed.
"Hey old man, I'm over here just barely struggling to hold together a group comprised of Assholes, Lowlifes, Children, and Bonnie and you're not helping over here being a bossy hothead--CHILL OUT!"

Still I think it doesn't make sense to wish him dead when he's already dead to you. Let other people who enjoy him, you know, enjoy him. XD
You sound a bit like Jane there. XD (Not judging)

Yes. More than you can figure.
You're right, she's more of the kind to leave babies out in a blizzard to prove a point.
SO. MUCH.

That title is a bit of a spoiler, though I guess people who haven't started Season 2 or 3 won't know which disappearance you're referring to.

Admittedly, it would've been some shit if that car's AC actually worked--especially if she just didn't bother to turn it on.
Let's also forget that Jane was the reason he or his group was pissed off in the first place.
Drowning in a septic tank?

The fuck is that?
I don't miss Kenny, I miss a sequel to S2.
(Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with new storylines, but not if our choices from S2 get repealed by bad writing of short flashbacks.. )
Who?
I think he was a beard in this other series TT did, not 100% sure though.
Nah i think i won't foget that somehow
"(?)dan290786 will remember that"

As for the sleeping on it choice, well that's just Telltale making him react like that no matter what
Yes. Lee and Kenny assembled a great moral compass duo and has sumptuous beards

Big guy, beard, flannel.
The reason I wake up.
Old prisoner Alvin wearing Carlos's shirt?
