Ben could have a small chance of finding a crew with more capable people. With Sarah he would definitely be fucked. She was so out of her mind at one point, she thought Carlos was alive some time after she watched him get eaten.

Actually, I get the feeling she was just trying to take the Jane approach of deluding herself, even though she acknowledged the truth half an hour ago.

That too, but there's also her reaction to being around Carver again and trying to keep creeping through the herd even though she's understandably nervous.
She may have known that walkers were dangerous but had never seen them do what they did to her dad before it happened.
True enough.
I don't think she would have got over it. She was saying stuff like "when dad gets back we'll go back to the cabin", the things she was saying was sadly messed up
Anymore messed up than Jane saying her sister wanted her to let her die even though that wasn't really the issue? Hey, if the "expert survivalist" can get by saying that type of stuff, why can't she?
Everyone's lost someone and many of them eventually admit to still feeling messed up about it; the only difference between most of them and Sarah is time, luck, and support.
Okay dude, I know Sarah could come off as a tad dopey at times, but I'm pretty sure it was established she knows "Anything Walker-related=Ba… mored".
Well she came across as clueless most of the time to the outside world. She may have known that walkers were dangerous but had never seen them do what they did to her dad before it happened. I just cannot for the life of me ever see her caring for AJ over Ben. Ben is older as well and he had a little sister, he may have babysitted her if she was a lot younger but we'll never know. I would just trust him more than Sarah who would not be able to look after the baby after losing her dad. I don't think she would have got over it. She was saying stuff like "when dad gets back we'll go back to the cabin", the things she was saying was sadly messed up
I feel as though that due to Ben being older, the fact he had a little sister that he may have babysitted or had experience looking after assuming she was a lot younger than him i mean, and as he seems to be more aware of the dangers of the walkers and humans, also that he can at least kill walkers, i'd trust him more than Sarah.
Fair enough.
But hey he certainly wouldn't be my first choice. Lee all the way
Dude, if Lee was still around, we probably wouldn't have to deal with half of these issues.
Ok i did say this earlier so i'll add it here again:
Its just that what i said earlier, i can't see Sarah being a good carer for AJ compa… morered to Ben and the reason I say it is because of her mental state when her dad died. She just wasn't good at all. If this didn't happen i would still choose Ben though. Who would you trust to be AJ's caregiver out of Ben and Sarah?
Ben, while I don't think either of them are fully reliable, age and maturity fall to Ben
if you had to chose between Ben and Sarah being the sole survivor with you in the apocalypse which one would you choose.
Sarah. She seems more sympathetic. I don't have any hard feelings towards Ben but Sarah seems more tragic and having anxiety I might be able to relate and maybe even help her cope
Benjamin. He screwed up only once with Clementine (and no, the time when he was needed by Christa was NOT his fault). He matured a fair amount, ESPECIALLY when he finally stood up to Kenneth. (He's also almost out of high school...)
Sarah has some form of PTSD. Either that, or she had an extremely sheltered life due to her father, Carlos. She would be almost incapable of taking care of AJ.
sigh i will always miss Lee. Not many know this but he's my fav character. Yes even more so than Kenny. It's a shame that not as many topics are discussed about him

Well its like i said, Sarah had been shielded from the world up until that point and then to lose her dad in front of her whilst probably not fully understanding or accepting what had happened, she "ceased to function". Her mental state was deeply affected. What does this have to do with Jane's sister? Jane and her sister were fully aware of the dangers of the world, Sarah wasn't.
I just cannot see how Sarah could look after AJ in that state of mind. She was calling for her dad as if he were still alive, she didn't want anyone touching her so would she have cradled AJ? Maybe she could have got over it but i'd still choose Ben for the reasons I'd previously stated.
Lots of questions and i find this topic interesting

What does this have to do with Jane's sister? Jane and her sister were fully aware of the dangers of the world, Sarah wasn't.
Jaime just seemed mostly lethargic from what Jane described rather than suicidal and the fact that she couldn't get her to just jump across two buildings supports that or suggests she at least had enough preservation to fear potentially falling; hardly worth saying "It's what she wanted all along." It's pretty obvious Jane was just trying to delude herself about leaving her to get it off her conscious, so I made the assisted connection that Sarah(who likely heard the whole story) was probably trying to do the same thing to no avail.

Except that Sarah wasn't even aware of what was going on. She didn't seem to realise about the walkers trying to kill her in the trailer. The way i look at it is, what if you left AJ in her arms there and then? She wouldn't have escaped to safety. They would have both died. That's why i would choose Ben because he would have at least been stable enough to try and do something to save himself and AJ if he could.
Im not knocking your opinion but Sarah is a no no for me. Not the state she was in after Carlos died

What's even the point of it? They're both dead and AJ is just lucky to have Clementine.

Neither. Still going with Kenny.
