Why don't Clementine and Eleanor like each other?
Does anyone have a guess as to why they don't like each other? I'm guessing it has something to do with the new frontier, but I still think it's a strange relationship for these two to not like each other. It's weird and mysterious to be honest. Out of all the characters, I never would have guessed it would be these two to be at odds. That's probably the reason Eleanor hasn't died yet or why she's a part of this season, it's due to her relationship with Clementine which I'm hoping will be answered in Ep 4 or 5. Definitely a plot subject I'm looking forward too.

It's somewhat implied that Clementine has caused trouble in Prescott in the past, thus giving Eleanor, Conrad, and to a lesser extent Tripp reason to be a bit wary of her or anyone associated with her. Not to mention the whole "Shot a guy in cold blood over her gun jamming and some batteries" thing getting around pretty damn fast.
Not to sound like I'm/Clementine's racist, but I initially assumed something we'll see in Above the Law was gonna explain that.
As for a more speculatory reason:It's because Eleanor is her estranged sister
I don't think you're familiar with what a gun jam is lol. But even with her past, given the choice she specifically points out she doesn't trust Eleanor, and would prefer to go with Tripp. Given that we assume Tripp is the one in charge, you'd think any problems she's caused/had in Prescott would put her most at odds with Tripp.
I'm honestly not even sure they're going to build towards anything between them, a small part thought she might be a NF member after I first played the episode, but for the most part I assumed it was just a throwaway line to see if it gives older players cause to doubt the pretty new flirty girl because Clem says there's something off about the girl who knows people call Javier Javi somehow.
Eleanor dislikes Clem because of the trouble she caused and because she thinks there is something cold about her. Dislike is a strong word though, more like afraid.
As far as Clem not liking Eleanor, my impression was that Eleanor came across as naive and goodnatured to them for no reason, so Clem probably thinks she has an ulterior motive or is just some useless sheltered person.
I think they both like the same boy so naturally there would be animosity.
Ep.3 spoilers might be below my comment
Ok so I decided, I don't wanna post Ep.3 spoilers outside the thread and risk a ban, so this edit.. and bla
That was my thought, but I don't know if Clementine even met [spoiler] before.
That is an excellent point.
Oh I am curious now.
I posted it in the Ep.3 Spoiler Thread now
