So i've seen the clip of Jesus' reaction about Javier batting Badger to death and he's upset about it. But what's Jesus' reaction if you leave Badger to turn? Is he still upset?
You know, listening to the older music and thinking about how they reuse the music in S3 has made me realise that, in some ways, they're taking away from some of the good moments in previous seasons. I don't mind stuff like Clementine's theme playing whenever there's an emotional moment with Clem or one of the older 'action' tracks playing during a QTE but hearing music like Hopeful03 (the song that plays when Kenny fixes the truck in NGB) or Ominous01 (the song that plays when Eddie and Wyatt talk about what to do after hitting Bennett) takes away from those scenes in some way. More original music for specific scenes would make them more memorable, at least to me.
I don't know why Telltale made all this effort to create this character development for Conrad in Episode 3 since 95% of people won't see it. It would have been a better ideea if they would have done that with Pete in Season 2.

The writing processes of A New Frontier and Season Two are entirely independent, so it's not like they had to choose between developing Conrad or Pete.

The scene in which David accuses Joan of ordering raids on other communities had a soundtrack that, as pointed out by @Clem_is_awesome, was reused from Season Two, when Clementine is sneaking in the cabin. However, I only remembered the first part of the Season Two score, so I had no idea it was reused—and I've associated the second part of the soundtrack with the scene with Joan instead.
The segment that plays in "Above The Law" starts at 00:59.
To be honest, I feel like this score fits a heated verbal confrontation involving numerous parties much better than tip-toeing around a house.
[utter drivel below, sorry]

Obviously.. he's just saying that if they were going to flesh out a determinant they should've chosen one like Pete with a 60/40 split and not Conrad who only around 5% of players still have.

Have you got any links? I could only find a video showing what happens if you give him the gun and the uploader cut out the Badger scene (by accident I think).

First of all, I know Episode 3 isn't "supposed" to be out yet but it has been uploaded to many sites fully. The plot starts right where it left off. David takes Kate to the community's hospital along with Gabe. The group is basically thrown into a cell. The group find Eleanor and start to argue a bit on what to do. David then comes to intercept Javier and they have a quick discussion and they talk about Mariana. Ava is revealed to be David's right hand person and that there's 4 leaders that run Richmond. Javier meets up with Kate and Gabe along with Dave. Kate tells Javier that this place is a cage and that they should on back on the road. After that, Javi and David meet up with Joan who is one of the other leaders. Max then comes along and says that Javier is a thief. You can be rude to him or nice I don't think it matters too much. Then Javi along with his group except Kate,Gabe and Eleanor. David gives the crew some supplies and a map. If you didn't kill Conrad you have an option to either give him a gun or keep it to yourself. He apologises for what happened in the tunnel and says that Javi should keep the gun for himself. Oh and there's a Clementine flashback. In the flashback it seems that Aj is sick and the doctor of the new frontier says that he barely has any chance to live. Clem sneaks around the camp and grabs the medicine. However, the doctor is sleeping yet wakes up. He tells her to put away the drugs as that's the only supply left. No matter what you do Clem gets caught and gets kicked out of the crew. Anyway back to the main plot, You make your choice then reach said area. Teleporting walkers then surround the group. Javi then has to pry open a garage door. The group enters. If you didn't give Conrad thr gun he dies. If you give him the gun he shoots his way throught walkers and slides under. David then comes from another entrance. There's tension between him and Clem but he says that AJ survived. The crew then finds loot from Prescott, the kingdom and likely other settlements. Apperantly Badger,Max and Lonnie are in the area. The crew sneaks up on him and Javi goes after Badger. You shoot him and you have the option to keep hitting him , just kill him, let conrad kill him or leave him to turn. You go back to see that Max is tied up. He says that Joan is pulling the strings and you can either kill him or tie him up so he can expose Joan to the rest of Richmond. Jesus then does a Glenn and leaves the group..You go back to the camp and David sends you to get Kate and Gabe and get them to his safehouse. Then you are presented to a choice to either leave the settleamont and abandon David or do as instructed. If you try to leave, you are caught but Kate escapes and Gabe refuses to go with you. If you do the opposite Gabe and Kate arrive to the safehouse and either way you meet up with David who confronts Joan. If you killed Max, Lonnie says he did attack other settlemants but says that he did it on David's orders then Joan's guards attack you and Dave and the episode ends. If you brought Max he exposes Lonnie and Joan but then you and Dave are tied up....
Well that was a doozy writing all that down. Now let's talk about the pros of this episode.
The plot in this episode was a step in the right direction.
Somewhat dynamic choices and outcomes. Conrad has a good role in this episode if you saved him plus that you can attempt to escape Richmond with Kate and Kate actually escapes.
Now I'm not the biggest fan of this new installment. But I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. This episode had good potential but it got squandered. Here are my issues with the episode:-
Length of Episode :-
I know this isn't anything new but this episode should have been longer. In TWDG we came across many communities but never really got to explore them. Prescott fell quickly and we only saw one room in Wellington which is ridicilous. This time we got into a community and this was the perfect episode to get a good amount of character development but oh well so much for that
Hubs
This is what was a wasted opportunity.. and a massive one. As I said just now we have never got to explore a community through its politics, jobs and etc.. Yet we barely get to explore any of it. It would have been perfect to have a hub in this community to see how it really worked, get to know the new characters or perhaps learn about the current oneswe know... The hubs were disappointing. Actually I don't think we even had a hub in this episode except the small one during the garage scene.
Character development
Not much else to say here except that there was no character development and we didn't learn anything new about the characters except Clementine who we already know and David.
Maybe Conrad but barely anyone didn't kill him/save him. Plus he can die in this episode again.
All in all, this was a good episode but not that good. This episode was a step in the right direction for sure but not the furtherest it could have gone. Also I felt that this episode was rushed even though people waited 4 months for this. I can give this episode a solid 7/10 or a 6.5.
I'm so glad they've carried on developing Conrad, he's my favourite character this season. Although it'd pretty funny if they keep giving him determinant death scenes throughout episode 4. Then when people talk about S3 they can ask "how did your Conrad die?"

Yeah, I'm really not feeling this plot. The story is kind of boring and really does lack genuine character development and it just feels like Javier and Clem are just being dragged around without having much to do except doing what the plot says.
watched it a few days ago on youtube, definitely better than the previous episodes but still feels like eveything is just a go around. i think a more skilled set of writers could write something better and come up with more ideas than just a group after group and place after place.
Apparently Conrad is actually double determinant, you have a choice to give him a gun or not. If you want to know how he dies a second time, watch the video. Also Conrad has changed a lot as a person, he seems to regret holding Clementine as a hostage. A DOUBLE DETERMINANT CHARACTER! Nice job Telltale, but will Conrad will be completely useless in Episode 4 and will that be his death episode??? Too bad 90% of people actually shot his character. Also Conrad can actually KILL Badger, way to make choices actually fucking matter.

Hey @DabigRG @VengefulKenny If you guys want the video, I can PM it to you both.
No he's not upset
Could you PM me the video as well please?
I sent it
Yes please, send it my way!
Done
conrad dies if you keep the gun or survives if you give it to him and you can give him the chance to kill badger
Lay it on mai!(No homo)

Fucking A! Got bigger fish to fry anyway if I decide to do that.
There is the fact that, rewrites or not, they clearly planned on using him more when they came up with that choice.
And Pete had a cut subplot in A House Divided that was changed to get the ball rolling a little faster.

Here's the scene where Conrad kills Badger.
How does he kill Badger?
Thank you kindly me!
Bloop just posted the video above
Thanks

"No. You're not a man. You're nothing."
Love it.
One request for anyone that has access already or has watched a lot of playthroughs:
Same. Fuck Badger.
Oh my goodness, you're right!
Okay, so I just saw a video where the person took Max to make things right and the episode's ending is definitely different because of it.
In a good way or a bad way? Please explain in the vaguest and most cryptic manner possible.
Eh, bad but more straightforwardly than the Lonnie only ending.
Lonnie is lying so is that what you mean by more straightforward?
Is there actually a different end of episode moment?
Yep to both, though it obviously happens in the same location.
Yeah, I'm really not feeling this plot. The story is kind of boring and really does lack genuine character development and it just feels like Javier and Clem are just being dragged around without having much to do except doing what the plot says.
Wow that was way better than Javi doing it
