If you choose to leave David, Kate ends up running away alone and getting an "unknown" state, alright, now, Kate can barely walk, and she puts pressure on the wound when she is running so I figure it hurts.
Since everything is starting to go south with the New Frontier, and everytime TTG needs to add a cherry to the cake, there is always a herd of walkers. So, how exactly a wounded Kate is going to be able to survive out there?
She has no food, no weapons, she can barely run, and unless she magically regroup with Tripp and Eleaonor there is no way she can survive out there.
If she wants to get lucky, first she needs to grow a beard.
