The ending for Ep3 confused me
So I saved max which lead to Joan getting exposed but none of the leaders didn't give a shit so was they in on it too or did they just agree with Joan's reasoning

Yeah this didn't make sense to me either. I guess they are against Joan but then they just side with her again makes no sense.
Ikr everything was going so well
then they just do a U-turn
That's one of my biggest complaints with this episode - they go from being outright horrified and 100% against the thought of her doing something like that to suddenly being fine with it after her hokey speech. It didn't feel realistic to me.
I thought Clint was in on it, while Dr. Lingard is likely supposed to be conflicted due to her motive rant.
Actually it does. You'd be surprised how persuasive you can be when you are doing this to save the lives of your group, and how most of them ultimately have a "better me than you" attitude.
Yeah it was a weird scene. These leaders didn't seem very leader like. Clearly this is the beginning of the end for Richmond.
It was lazy writing, they obviously want to drag this out into the next episode just so we still have human antagonists.
It honestly reminded me of EP5 of the Wolf Among Us when The Crooked man was able to persuade and BS the townspeople on his trial. I did think it was unrealistic how everyone just did not give a shit about you exposing Joan.
It was so stupid. Let's expose everything bad they've done without thinking about it for one second. They didn't even try to talk to other leaders first, to convince them and make some plan to actually get Joan to answer to justice.
Javi: hey ur bad!
Joan: nah im not
the rest: lul ok she's fine i guess
I do not know Clint's motive but Linguard was a junkie. I think he took the pills in the tent when Clementine was stealing the medicine. So he was a pill popper. Joan mentions his "pills" specifically when she defends the supply runs. I think that Joan chose that term so he knew she was not alluding to medical supplies. So basically Linguard couldn't live without his fix.
At first they were shocked and opposed her, but she guilt tripped them and they fell for it. She mentioned about fertilizer to Clint, and pills to the doctor. She was implying that those things that the 2 leaders needed would not have been obtained if she didn't raid other communities. She also said that the last winter was harsh and the community barely survived through it. The only way to survive was to raid others, she claimed. Also, I think it's a miscalculation (or naivety?) of David's part that he thought the other leader would have been 100% behind him. He didn't realize that she's had the other 2 under her leash already.
That could be it. He seemed like an otherwise righteous manwhile he was high in the flashback , so maybe times have changed with Joan back in the picture.
