I really liked this episode, I'd probably put it on par with "A House Divided" for me.

  • I love the goofball thing...you shush you cynical wench.

This scene was good until "MY LITTLE GOOFBALL" that line gave me cancer.

  • This, really. I'm all for Javier getting his own story, yay Javi, but that wouldn't be a story I'd buy or play. This was marketed as a continuation, and its been very little of that despite their guest star being the most marketed part of the game. I probably wouldn't have bought the first two episodes the same way I didn't buy episode 3 when I could watch it on YouTube, but TT knew this, and she was prominent in most of the advertising of the game from E3 until release. I have little interest in a side story or a reboot, and ANF feels like both, so I'm kinda disappointed.

I've been following this girl's story for 5 years. There's no way in hell I'll just "let it go" when she's being pushed to the side.

  • This is like the [HUG KENNY] all over again from season 2 for people that loved Clementine except everyone loves Clementine and I don't feel there is a reason to not hug her at all

Sorry, I feel like I'm going too far. I just think there is NO good reason not to hug Clementine. Otherwise, Javi hugging Clem makes him feel like he is hugging Mariana, you know?

  • I still ship Rhysha, but I do have a slight understanding of where you're coming from, oh glorious founder of Rhyiona.

  • She's actually the reason most people play NF, including me. If this is the best we're going to get, there's no point in arguing, the best thing to do is just to accept things as they are. Better that we have what little Clem we do than no Clem at all.

Never accept mediocrity, demand greatness. Clem is the heart and soul of this series, no matter how much they try to sideline her. She is the reason most people play, the reason I plunked down 30 dollars for this game sight unseen.

If this is the best they can do by her, fans should hold Telltale's feet to the fire for it.

Plus it depends on the player, why would assholes who betrayed her twice even hug her? It's a player determinant scene! And you're still bitching about it!

Amazingly done episode. But yeah, still too short and no hubs to explore.
Nonetheless, i enjoyed this episode. Glad i gave it a chance despite the hate this game is getting. Can't wait for more. So far this is the best episode

  • I'm not bitching about anything, good sir, I'm expressing my opinion.

I'm trying to show that Javier caring for Clem doesn't make sense. You would hug Clementine because of you, the player, because you love Clementine's character, want her attention or more dialogue choices, generally more screentime. Javier as Javier is another story. Is he a walking huggatron, hugging everyone on sight? Did he hug Tripp when he was talking about his problems? Did he hug Eleanor, Conrad, Jesus? He could easily pat her shoulder or comfort her in any other way if he truly cares for a girl he just met - which I doubt, as he is the middle of intense crisis, he is confused, angry and wants to help his family no matter what. The story about AJ is for the players, not for Javi.

  • Correction... He does put his hand on Clem's shoulder and it seems to be more her that goes in for the hug, a touching and realistic way it would have happened. It was just put there as an option for US to hug Clem, but it actually played out a bit differently. I agree that it would have been strange for Javi to go straight for the hug.
