Eh...I suppose I get it? Personally, I thought she was several steps up from the Walker Texas Ranger Villain from a Lifetime Movie.

  • Oh, so that was intentional! Okay; originally, I just make the goatee joke.

  • Oh yeah, I never even thought about that! Guess Javier's comment was enough to distract me from it.

  • More like I was trying to come up with something better than Tangerine and Tangela popped in my head.

  • It was a bit ridiculous but I still enjoyed the episode. Especially how it takes subduing Max to expose Joan. Then for said beast to "justify" her actions and try to convince Javi that it was meant for the good of Richmond. Paul already told them the place is a savage kingdom so I don't see the point of her attempts. If you execute Max, it will turn against David and then shots fired out. The illusion of choice will linger.

I did a Kenny on Badger. The baseball bat was really symbolic in some way. Considering that Javi was a baseball player before the world turned into hell.

Who could ever forget the epic final choices

    1. Burn Tangela to death with the flame thrower
    2. Push Lenny into the industrial microwave and watch him explode
    3. Do 1 and 2
    4. Bake cookies in an attempt to patch things up.

Never before had TTGs ever seen a 100% on a choice....apparently horribly murdering your sister you never knew you had and cruelly killing Lenny in the most painful way possible was the overwhelming choice. Of course having Tangela voiced by Gilbert Gottfried was bound to have skewed the votes a bit.

Sorry, I thought you might have been implying that was the only thing people who didn't want to play as Clem said.

I honestly don't see any difference if I'm quite honest.

  • Season 2 was better than Season 3 and will be by the end. Clem is not even relevant anymore because Telltale think its more important to focus on the uninteresting Javier rather than Clem, you know the little girl we spent 2 seasons caring about? Telltale really have become terrible in so many ways. They don't care about the old fans especially.

Of course if you enjoy this new game more than S2 then fair enough but i certainly don't

Yes...but points out that basically S2 was weaker in story structure than ANF is. My Conrad is still alive...I can see him walking into an

While I was a bit unsure about that at first, I imagine he would have had a more emotional reaction (shock, disbelief, maybe crying etc.) when Gabe first told him. Now, he's just mourning his daughter - someone he hadn't seen in years and that he didn't even know he had. He seems to be the kind of person who can control his emotions when he has to - he knows all about the politics there, so he doesn't want to go crazy or show any sort of weakness in front of the others (especially Joan) either.

  • Didn't look at it from that angle. I expected him to have a more expressive reaction, because of the way he reacted when Kate broke his army glass. Reaction to Marianna's death was nothing compared to it.

That could be either lazy writing of different writers or a sign of David's development as a person. I will go with latter on this one. Before ZA he was very impulsive (Hitting Javi for being late; Making a scene over a glass) and now he seems to be calm and collected when he's dealing with stressful situations (Marianna's death; overthrowing Joan). Him being responsible for people's lives for many years contributed to that as well I suppose.

Maybe that also changed him as a husband (we don't know it, but Kate absolutely doesn't want to be with him which could imply that he abused her in some way or sth similar) and he wants to fix everything. Possibly, next episode will revolve around that?

  • I'm still one of them. But it's not because she's a child, it's because I'm more used to having Clem with me rather than playing as her.
And I'm one of the rare people that actually like to play as Javier.

I wonder - Where are all the people who complained about Clementine being the protagonist of S2, how it was "terrible to play as a child" and whatnot. Where'd they all go?

  • Because you were siding with Jane all the time. S3 Clem reminds me more of Jane than Clem in S1-2.

I just chose what felt right to me. I don't think Jane had much to do with it at all, Clem never felt much different to me.

  • It would definitely be interesting for episode 4 to elaborate more on David, his experiences and his evolution from an aggressive father (who seemed to express his love for the military/war more than that for his family) into the calm, well-meaning and somewhat more controlled man he his now.

The whole abuse thing could be possible, especially given his temperament in the flashbacks (and it would help explain why Kate was so adamant about getting away from him in the past and present). I'd think it might be more likely to be unintentional on David's part (i.e. maybe he doesn't realise he neglects his family in favour of his military job/mates, maybe he had PTSD). He did seem very happy to see Kate again - either a sign of his change in character and willingness to repent or what he might have (perhaps unintentionally) kept bottled up before hand.

Either way, I'm looking forward to episode 4.

Hey, Conrad is still alive after I chose not to shoot him. So that's a good thing. Probably guarantees he'll die in the next episode, but at least he was around for most of this one. That's cool.

And being able to dole out justice to Badger and Max was immensely satisfying, worth the price of admission.
