General ideas on S4(think it's necessary to start a new topic)

I'm ok with more seasons but I hope they don't make long storylines anymore which tend to be boring at end(I doubt they're going to create an ending for S3 that is not boring).Would be nice if they let each episode(could be longer than current ones)has separate storylines like 400 days.
Let's imagine:take S1 ep2 for example.Wouldn't it be more awesome if that whole cannibal story took place on totally different characters that have no relation to Lee and Clem.
It's important to have intense plots in every episode.Getting a whole episode building intensity for the next with the same characters may work in TV series, but very stupid in games. And is more stupid by releasing episode by episode. It often leads to huge disappointment.
Any thoughts?

  • Clem is main character again and she starts to protect AJ like Lee did to her

  • Javier dies similar to Lee and Kate is gone as well with new frontier fallen. Years later Clementine&Gabe travel together taking care of AJ and meeting new groups and communities.

  • Come on...don't u think u're expecting too low...
    Whatever...

  • It seems to me your real issue is that Episodic games just aren't your thing.

I wouldn't mind single episode stories or mini series with different characters but I still think they should continue Javier & Clementine's story.

Get it.In fact,I suppose playing telltale games is more like the experience of watching TV series.I'm not saying it's not good;it's actually awesome since no other companies make game that way.
But.I keep asking myself a question:If it IS a TV series,is it good?
    The answer is always no.
    That's it.
EDIT:And the major problem,I suppose,is that TV series can have tens of or even hundreds of episodes, while the games only have merely 5 or 6 episodes. So it's very likely the plots go unnatural and lacking plenty of details, including character personality and so on.
If they can somehow make a game that has as many episodes as real TV series.....
    AND NOW WE ARE TALKING.
Furthermore, when things come to this point, having a main character staying all the time would not be a problem at all because all these details, relationships and choices we make in the game can fully distract us from what's being unrealistic,if any.

  • In my opinion it's better than most TV series.

  • If there is a season 4, I think it should focus on a completely new protagonist, without clementine at all. I think it should be set in the beginning of the outbreak as well, around the same time season one took place, or a little after. That way the new character could run into some of the season one characters, like The Hershel, Glenn, or Kenny (After he was presumed dead but then for some reason wasn't.) Maybe the new character could explore what really went down in Crawford or something, I don't know.

  • Come on buddy...
Just some cheap death of some good and bad people which are unnaturally purposed and unrealistic(For Lee may be an exception).
Does it have anything emotional and deep without death?Or has it ever made you cry literally?
There's only one single time so far I cried for a game. That's Corpse Party. When I reached chapter 4 extra end I cried.
TWD is nothing compared to it.

  • Well that's your opinion. Respect mine and I'll respect yours. Or simply agree to disagree, I don't care. Just keep the arrogance and condescending to yourself.

  • I think it could be interesting to have a role reversal next season, so Javier becomes a secondary character, and Clementine becomes protagonist again, since I think it could be interesting to focus on the challenges of raising a child in the apocalypse (if AJ survives ANF that is), I would also like a storyline, where we dont travel with one group, but where its just Clementine and Javier (Maybe Gabe if he survives, but he might stay with David), and then you meet other groups along the way, and have to consider how to interact with said groups, do you trust them? do you attack them? do you steal?, for 3 seasons now we have followed a group around, but I would really like to explore the consequences of being alone or just 2 people in the apocalypse, how will other groups react? will they think youre easy pickings? or will they help you?

If they did the role reversal, they could also properly deliver on the concept of a different personality, like they have kinda failed to do with Clem this season, so depending on your choices Javier can be more aggresive, or more understanding, value companionship over resources, or value family over community, or something like that, I really want to see that
