So we just forget about this?
Am I the only surprised that we'll just forget about the fact that Clementine and Conrad hated each other in Episode 2 and that Javier changed Clementine's feelings towards him? They never interacted or said anything about Javier's choice.
That's just lazyness.

*In episode 3.
It was asked about in the ama, according to them Clem didn't mind to much... yeah that was the reply.
I am glad that TT made conrad make it through ep3 for the ppl who did agree on the plan but really how about clementine will remmeber that shit if the player agree or kill conrad nothing change around clementine and she still the same around javier
Well done TT U keep doing in the same bullshit around clementine no matter what is our choices from s1 and s2 and in TNF clementine's actions will still the same with every one
Fuck that FUCK THAT OKAY I HAD ENOUGH OF SAYING THIS OR READING COMMENTS SAYING THE SAME THING AND TT DO NOTHING ABOUT IT LIKE THEY SAYING TO US FUCK YOU
And to add to this, if you killed Conrad then Tripp vows to take revenge on TNF and conveniently ignores the fact that Javi was the one who killed his friend.
Tripp: "I have your back, and I know you got mine"
Me: "Er... yeah, totes dawg" sweating
Tripp doesn't know.
Ealenor forgot Conrad even existed if you killed him.
Javi can basically admit to at the end of the previous episode, and it still means nothing.
Hell, she didn't even ask who Jesus is.
New guy comes out of the tunnel missing two people, one being someone who is among the last of your community's survivors, I'd think "you're the boss" isn't exactly the reply someone would have lol
Maybe she is a comic reader.
It's almost like the writers just want to rush this story over out of obligation because the casual fans are expecting S3.
Yeah, I thought that was a major missed opportunity as well. They don't even speak to each other in the episode, if I recall correctly.
Javi doesn't say he is the one who shot him. He says "Him(Conrad) and Clem started arguing and shit just went south! We had to leave him behind."
It's like giving AJ the medicine or not, the choice went no-where.
Eleanor and Jesus didn't even talk onscreen...
Eleanor and Jesus didn't even talk onscreen...
Yeah, who would mind being treated as a hostage and a traitor?
How about Clementines wanting to go to Richmond for basically no reason at all?
Because she was searching for AJ or The New Frontier for revenge?
In the zombie apocalypse, Stockholm's syndrome kicks in faster!
The first ep basically SCREAMS Clem wants to go there because of AJ. Yet ep 3 makes it clear she was totally sure he was dead.....and ep 2 had no clue NF was now in control of Richmond. Outstanding guys.
Oops. Double comment. Sorry about that...
She wanted to get out of the area. That's why she needed the truck in the first episode. She wasn't looking for AJ.
Actually, I'm pretty sure she only brought up Richmond because it was the best place to get help for Kate. Not sure about the hyperventilating fit, though.
Yeah I feel that people who sold out Clementine earned some animosity from her. I mean if she doesn't care about being held hostage then there's obviously a perfect decision, and that's just not interesting. Likewise, I feel that people (like me) who shot Conrad should have some scenes where Clem considers Javier one of her only friends and a fight scene with Tripp.
Oh don't get me started on that. This was yet another reason as to why i fucking hate Telltale these days and it really pissed me off that we saw nothing different. They are clueless! I could write better episodes:
https://telltale.com/community/discussion/107458/what-changes-to-deceased-determinant-unknown-characters-would-you-make-if-you-could-change-things/p7
All my ideas what i would change in season 1 and 2 although season 1 was perfect anyway.
I don't even think lazyness is the right word to describe them to be fair. They probably conveniently forgot the past choice with Conrad or just decided not to make our choices matter again. It's like in season 2. Your relationship with any character never changed except for 2 seconds with Bonnie in No Going Back depending on the save or cover Luke choice.
They have seriously lost their way. They could have had the scene where Clem kills the walkers with the baseball bat to actually NOT have her help him if Javier had sided with Conrad in the previous episode or at least have some negative response from her towards him but no we got fuck all as usual.
Well then Tripp has shit for brains because I came out of the tunnel with Gabe and told him that Conrad lost it and I had to "leave him".
I seem to remember that they did hint in the AMA they did that maybe that choice would come back in future dialogue, I really hope so, since I am regretting shooting Conrad more and more by the minute, since Clementine seems to not care at all beyond her initial reaction, I am kinda hoping we will get some sort of season 1 type deal, where our relations with people will decide who will help us in the war that seems to be coming, which would make our choices matter again, like if you shot Conrad, you get Clementine, if you sold out Clementine, you get Conrad.
I just realized that this is proably what I miss most about season 1, how different characters would react differently to you, depending on your relationship with them, like Kenny would be angry with you if you sided with Larry in the freezer, and stuff like that, and your relations with people decided who would help you during the search for Clementine.
I don't believe anything they say anymore. They said Clem would would be a playable character as well as Javier and so far that has been bullshit. There hasn't been any gameplay with Clem except choosing a few dialogue options and Q&E's, nothing more. It has been so awful this game in every way and its not going to get better.
Exactly!!! This is what has been badly missing in their games since season 1. I could write a long essay as to why this new game is so shit compared to season 1 and even season 2 in some cases
