Theory: ##### will Commit Suicide.

edited April 2017 in The Walking Dead

I ve been thinking about this for a while after episode 3 Came out.
If Conrad died in episode 2 AKA 90% of people s playthough.
Tripp will have a moment where he tells Javier that if he loses someone else he wont be able to keep going.
So i think Telltale Might kill off Eleanor as the breaking point for tripp after Losing his entire base all of his friends who he s been with for along time and the person he loves.

Comments

  • Great. Because Jane killing herself wasn't enough.

A better and more realistic scenario is Eleanor dies, Tripp ends up depressed but tries to keep his chin up nonetheless, and dies trying to protect the group. We don't see him die (or maybe we do, I'm not sure which would be more effective) but he stays dead.

Basically he pulls a Kenny (dies protecting the group after losing everything) but does it Nick-style (depressed rather than insane).

I mean Conrad lost his Woman and hasn't given up yet. Conrad also got his revenge and is living kind of happy so yeah. If Tripp can't go on maybe Conrad can talk him out of it seeing what he went through.

  • I considered that but i dont think telltale would make Conrad change another character s death since Conrad s determinant.

Tripp seems to be one hardened survivor, not really the person to kill himself out of the despair after the death of a loved one (like Katjaa). It's odd enough he suddenly goes: "yeah, I think I love her, we've been living together for X years, but I need some relationship status for the story to be emotional and to put some rushed development into my character. Thanks, sir terapist Javi."

He apparently was the leader of Prescott for quite some time, so he's got all necessary traits (he's reasonable, fair and altruistic). I'm assuming he is one experienced man of strict, confident mind, so it would be weird for him to pull a Romeo and stab himself repeatedly. Or worse, to die because of Eleanor telling him to fuck off, in contrast to his manliness.

"oh cruel world she doesn't love meee"
    stabs self

  • I'm thinking Tripp will die before Eleanor.

  • Tripp is an adept survivor and him killing himself over two people is just beyond his reach. His temperament seems a hell of a lot different to Jane's.

  • I've got a feeling there'll be a Tripp vs Someone choice at some point.

  • I think he takes his friends deaths really hard and if he continues losing people it might take it's toll on him, but I don't see Tripp as the type to just give up when things get tough.

  • Maybe that could only happen if the player saved him then. Otherwise, the sadness of Conrad being gone too could push Tripp too far.

I'm hoping Tripp will die instead of Eleanor.

  • That's because he want's revenge for Francine

  • Tripp honestly hasn't done anything noteworthy besides managing to assist Javi while Prescott was falling.

I don't know why people are acting like he is this badass adept survivor who is emotionally untouchable. He got knocked on his ass by a girl who is a foot shorter than him and anytime something goes slightly wrong he loses his temper and threatens people.

  • I agree. I feel like if it wasn't for his scene at the gates, you could've given his job description(whatever the fuck it is) to Conrad, his "past" to Eli and remove him from the first episode altogether.

The original title didn't spoil anything as the entire thread is just speculation.

  • The very idea that Tripp, a very obvious and failed Kenny clone, would not only survive over Eleanor but also get such a similar sendoff.

    Please elaborate.

  • Then he gets lucky real lucky and has a bond with Gabe (If he lives) even though they barely even interacted but act like they did.

  • That is something Telltale would do, just change the reason something is happening like getting kicked out by Clint or Joan but still getting kicked out nonetheless
