Secondly that is just ridiculous, just because you quickly glance around for walkers before leaving somebody unconscious, completely defense… moreless and alone does not guarantee their safety...plus if she did check for walkers she clearly did a pretty crap job at it.
You have no way of knowing what Clementine did while Javier was unconscious other than dig a grave. She could have been checking on him regularly after not being able to move him properly.
When I said "I don't see the problem", I was referring to you noting that I replied to something that was apparently not the subject of your post. If you don't want me replying to it, then don't include it.
Yes, you said The Walking Dead was unrealistic... I also think the concept of dead people walking is unrealistic and could also provide you with a pretty extensive list of unrealistic happenings in the show.
That still does not mean common sense and contradictory actions are something to be disposed of... every piece of fiction has atleast some real life aspects involved.
"The game has zombies in it so it's pretty unrealistic" really has no leg to stand on when discussing points like the one I made.
I … moredidn't say that, I said that The Walking Dead is unrealistic. I could make you a list of unrealistic things that occurs in both the game and the show.
While we're on the subject of questionable and/or odd story moments, how about the ending of episode 3 when you kill Max-- why does that ran… moredom guy decide to tackle Javier to the floor? Yes, I get that it's because guns got drawn and bullets are about to fly, but why does this random guy-- who even more weirdly is the same dude that catches you if you try to leave with Kate-- attempt to save Javi's life? Why doesn't he tackle the guy with a gun that's about to start shooting everybody instead? Why is that guy the only guy that even does something?
Hmmm when one wants to bring intellect into an argument...you might want to make sure you're not showing your idiocy.
Now when you call something a "Blatant Flaw"...this is you passing something off as fact.
A real example of a "Blatant Flaw" follows. Raiders of the Lost Ark is a severely flawed movie with a major problem...If Indiana Jones was not in the film and no one did anything to stop the Nazis from getting the Ark of the Covenant...the movie would still end the same way. That is a "Blatant Flaw".
First off... *you're
Secondly... have you ever actually heard of this magic thing called an opinion? I know it might come as a shock to y… moreour system but...everybody's got one.
What you claim is an "illegitimate gripe" may be a legitimate and completely relevent discussion topic to someone else. Please try to comprehend this otherwise you'll give off the vibe of being disturbingly uneducated.
Yeah I never understood that. Seemed random, but remember... Javier is the main character so no matter what, everyone has to care about him and look to him for leadership even if there's no development to lead up to such a thing. coughTripp,Clementine,Elanor, etc.cough

Superman's mother was an alien. I find it hard to believe that she had the same name as Batman's mother.. Also the story is told from Javi's point of view. There is no way of knowing how many walkers she killed protecting him before he came to.
No...you assume all those things other than leaving him unarmed as he was unconscious.
Now am I hallucinating you said that or did you actually claim it was possible for people to simultaneously be in two separate places at once, have the ability to focus in on an object 100 meters away and not lose eye contact or concentration with that object whilst digging a grave etc....
But c'mon pal...look at that argument we had up above there. I proved your clear idiocy already and I'd rather not do it again for the sake of my time.
When I call something a blatant flaw, I expect some people to disagree with that statement. A blatant flaw to me can be a mild or unnoticeable error to someone else. However it is still a fact that it is a flaw in the story plot no matter how far fetched you or I claim it to be.

I'm still stuck on Badgers choice of whether to shoot the one person who would pose the absolute least amount of threat to him, or any of the more capable and probably armed people when he had them completely be surprised.
Or like how Kenny is a professional fisherman and never tried to feed people by plying his trade.
How come no one yelled at Duck for starting the tractor and getting Shawn killed?
Anyone else notice that when Clementine opened the bathroom door in the pharmacy and survived the walker attack, she no longer had to go pee? Personally would have loved to see someone slip due to a wet spot on the floor.

Even if this was true it would not make a difference, if that walker had appeared by Javi as he was unconscious while Clem was at the gravesite she would not be able to come to his aid in time considering she was about 100 meters away. Kenny's plan through most of the season was to find a boat and get out onto the water. Common sense ought to tell you that if they could fish they would, but that would involve finding a body of water walking distance away from the motel and some fishing poles, bait etc. Mark was even ready to shoot a crow for food he was so hungry, so yeah i'm sure they would have if they were able to.

Great idea...let's tell an 8 year old child that just witnessed a man get eaten alive by monsters and who almost died himself that it was all his fault. You'll be a great parent someday. Besides, Shaun left the keys in the ignition, let a child play in the driver seat and knelt down right infront of it... so yeah, Shaun is mostly to blame not Duck.

Not really. Remember that Clementine joined in of her own volition using his bat with the walkers barely starting to sit up when she started to attack them; I was actually happy it was done that way since it indicated that he did have things under control, even if there's a slight chance the bat could've rolled away, and made her decision to help him mean that much more because of that. The fact that I hated how Season 2 constantly had Kenny and Jane get all the cool moments at other characters expense made that even more notable.
Don't forget the "come at me bro" moment of Javi in ep3. That was a way too cocky act of someone being in this shit for 4 years and he needed Clem's help.
Oh he's 10? Well I guess that makes it okay to tell a child that he or she is the reason someone died.
Grow up dude, you can yell at a kid for things like saying curse words and throwing things... not that they've caused someone to suffer and ultimately die, that's just cruel and could genuinely cause them to grow up mentally and emotionally damaged. It was mostly Shaun's fault anyways.
If he apparently put two and two together himself on that one then why feel the need to yell at all if they're already feeling guilty, believe it to be their fault and have to live with that supposed blood on their hands.

I didn't say anything about yelling at him, just pointing out his actual age for fact's sake and noting that he realized what happened anyway, so there wasn't really any need to do so beyond telling him to be careful in the future. Pick your fights with the actual person advocating that, not a neutral passerby.

This isn't exactly related, but it's a general observation-- is it just me, or are a lot of people willing to seemingly turn a blind eye to S1's flaws and problems? Especially when they're fundamentally the same and/or similar problems that everyone chews out S2 and ANF for? I mean admittedly, yes, S1's problems are on a smaller scale than the following games (for the most part), but the fact of the matter is that they're still there regardless. Just because they're not as noticeable doesn't mean they should be excused/ignored. If you're going to call out S2 and ANF for all their flaws and problems, you should be willing to acknowledge similar ones in S1. It's only fair, right?
We love getting on Telltale's case about lack of character development and shock value deaths, right? Everyone's still really salty about characters like Nick or Luke, even to this day... yet Mark and Chuck basically getting the same treatment back in S1 has been brushed under the carpet and forgotten about. Or how most of the characters outside of Kenny, Lilly, Ben and Lee don't really that much in the way of character depth and complexity, yet everyone seems to act like S1's cast was leagues above the cast of S2 or ANF (for the record, I'm not saying S1's characters were bad. I'm just saying that they aren't hundreds of leagues above S2/ANF like some people make them out to be). People are so quick to chew out the cabin group for not having enough development or character arcs, yet a character like Omid or Carley, who don't really get much in the way of development or character arcs either, coast to the top of those same peoples' favorite characters list. Or how someone might claim that a character from S2/ANF being likable isn't a good enough reason to consider them a good character, yet they'd probably use that same defense for a character from S1. It all just seems like double standard to me.
And let me reiterate-- this isn't directed towards anyone in particular, nor is this meant to be a defense against S2/ANF. I'm just making some observations.
Yes technically she caused Javi almost to die.
She had been lots of trouble to peoples who met her, but still...
I love that kid, she will always be my sweet pie.
I agree that there are plenty of flaws in season 1. I never denied that while creating this thread and am more than willing to acknowledge them... however I did not create this thread with the intention of discussing all the flaws in the series, simply one obvious one I noticed in ANF whether or not the discussion unfolds with this entirely in mind.
People have already discussed the story flaws in season 2 years ago and season 1 to a certain degree however ANF is brand new and ripe for discussion and criticism with more and more flaws being discovered every day.
I know you claimed you were not directing this to anyone and were simply making an observation, but as the initiator of your inquiry I simply felt the need to answer you.

Sweet pie? Do you mean sweet pea? lol
