Scumbag Conrad

At 7:36 if you don't accept Conrad's plan or shoot him then he literally puts a bullet in a little kid's skull who did nothing wrong to him and then shoots Javi afterwards. He probably shoots Clementine after that. I felt bad that so many people shot Conrad since he lost Francine and thought he didn't really mean what he said, but after watching this....#FuckConrad

  • They just want a reason to make you choose. That's a non-canon ending so it doesn't count.

  • A death scene is a possible outcome. They could've easily made it so if you didn't choose then it would automatically go with the plan, just like they do with other choices. Again just because it could be avoided doesn't mean he wouldn't have done it. He threatened a kid with a gun and if you don't do anything then he executes him on the spot. Either way he's a piece of shit.

  • He apologises later.

  • Tbh I obviously killed Conrad but the thing is he's actually an alright character later on you get the sense that you have caught at the worst time obviously due to the incident with Francine however the fact he had no real argument and he threatened clementine a character all users have been connected with season one no one way would I pick Conrad over that

  • Yeah, that was definitely too much. At the very least, just kill Javier and disarm Gabe; sure, he'll be doubly mad at you and might seek payback later, but better that, which arguably counts as self-preservation and/or pragmatism, than killing a guy and a kid. Even I can't see Tripp just ignoring that.

  • Yeah, but unfortunately, it can be seen as what he would if it came to that, which is plain too much. It's right up there with freezing up in the trailer park, not that it matters much considering who's involved.

I let the timer run out thinking that he would come to his senses and apologize. But then THIS happens....

Fuck Conrad. He was cold-blooded and didn't give a shit about Javi or the kids.

  • What?I already know about this shit.

Also why is not there an option to let Conrad shot Gabe without letting Javi act stupid??Like this :

"Go fucking ahead Conrad!FUCKING SHOOT HIM!!It doesn't bother me."

  • Well, considering I was one of the people took him up on his offer, of course I do. I just don't like how overly one-sided and indirectly biased that choice was.

  • I know this yet another "Fuck Gabe" type of thing but honestly, it does seem like an interesting bluff option, kinda like with Brenda and Katjaa. Though it'd likely get the same result as with her.

Shit happens people change besides Clementine almost shot Javi in episode 3 haven't seen anyone complain about that and don't say "it was just a warning shot" she shot right next to him.

  • Conradisthebest

He felt sorry enough afterwards and he said he wasn't really that person who'd do something like that. I say it was the writers who are at fault for making him behave this way over himself

  • I disagree people do stupid shit when grieving

well i still do not regret leaving him alive he s one of the only ... Scratch that the only Double determinant character in the entirety of the 4 Walking dead games. So im not giving up on him until his determinant Final destination curse catches on to him.
He s also even relevant after being saved the 2nd time since he can Execute Badger himself.

  • I don't even know why he executed Gabe. Even for the people who don't like Gabe, that was beyond cruel to shoot a kid who had nothing to do with the situation. If I point a gun at a kid with the intention to kill him unless I get what I want, but then apologize afterwards, suddenly it's okay?

  • Exactly, there was no way I could be okay with Conrad after seeing that. I don't care if Conrad turns out to be quadruple determinant and has the coolest scene ever, he is staying dead for me. Fuck that guy.

  • I let him live considering how much he lost. Yes he only lost Francine and he shoud get over it but after witnessing her death like that must be hard. Yeah he does end up shooting Gabe (maybe because Gabe was threatening to shoot him earlier), Javier (who he blamed for Francine's death and the loss of Prescott), and threatens to turn in Clementine but this isn't the first time we have seen that happen. There are characters who have done the same or worse. An example is Lily. She lost her dad, then blames Ben and Carley for stealing, and then she shoots Carley in cold blood. Some people still want her to return. Another example is Kenny. After losing Katjaa and Duck and Ben admits that it was his fault for their deaths Kenny gets mad and wants to kill Ben. But then Ben tries to explain things from his place and Kenny starts to feel bad for what he did and tries to save Ben. Then there's Nick, who almost shot Clementine's head and apologizes for what he did. But then after his uncle Pete died, he killed Matthew and Walter almost wanted to kill him. And then Kenny gets mad again. After AJ's mom died, Kenny puts the pressure on Arvo when he didn't want to kill anyone which might be the reason Arvo shot Clem. Then Kenny gets so angry that he tries to kill Jane without actually asking her if AJ really died. So yeah this isn't the first time we have seen someone like Conrad go crazy. But atleast Conrad apologizes and offers Javier to keep the gun (even though he should keep it to survive).

  • Noticing a pattern here....

  • I was sympathetic to his conditions before the scene, what might have happened doesn't matter.

My first reaction was to shoot him the moment he pointed the gun at Gabriel and it'll stay that way regardless of what kind of stress you can reason he was under. For the first time in a long time the Walking Dead presented me with a choice where I just reacted instead of pausing and thinking, that has some emotional value towards my investment into the story, and damn ANF needs all the investment it can get from me.

  • What about the kenny or Jane choice as much as i like Kenny i ended up shooting him the first time i played it without even thinking before picking.

Kind of different, Jane told me to not interfere so that's what I did (or didn't?).

There wasn't the same mood to the choice itself either, Jane and Kenny was in a struggle between combatants whom had agitated each other for hours whereas Gabriel was a kid with a gun to his head and an arm around his throat.

  • You are so right.
If this happens to my real kid, I won't hesitate to shoot that fucker.
Better he dies than my child.

Even though you hate Gabe, he is practically Javier's child.
Would you tell this when someone threaten your kid with a gun? I guess you don't have any kids.
So such line would be very unrealistic to a parent/uncle to say.

I don't know about you guys but ep 3 changed my perspective for that charecter a lot....I went from hating his guts to liking him...telltale did a good job with Conrads storyline when he took his vengeance(determinanly)

  • Well this is my answer :

I love my Mama(not Mama in Tattletale),so I'll shoot that son of bitch who point his gun at my mom or defending my mom.
But if I hate my Mama, maybe I'll join that bastard to shoot my mom.
I hate Gabe.So I dont care what in the world happen to his ass.

I actually got that in my first playthrough. I tried to let the timer run out since I figured I could make a no commitment choice. I still let him live since I try not to kill characters and I don't believe in non canon deaths (like Mike dropping Clem in episode 3, that isn't something he'd do).
