Would you want another season?
It might be a little early to say but, would you like another season? I might be part of the small minority that like Season 3 but personally I don't want a season 4.

Yeah, I probably would, I really like the series, and I mean, sure there is all the chance that another season might be terrible, but it could also be great, if it turns out terrible, then fine, Ill have played it, and promptly forget about it, if it turns out great, then great, we have another great game, if it gets made there is the chance of a good game, but if it never gets made, that chance is 0
Depends on how ANF ends. If they wrap up the story in a way that won't really lend itself to a sequel, then no. If not, then yes.
I was just speaking to a few people on a ps4 community I am in and we all agreed on another season would be great. We also discussed how people hate a new frontier and always try to make it seem like a bad game, but we compared the goof's with season 1 and they were somewhat similar. The pieces seemed to fit together pretty well, so a new game should be made after this one
No they should not be a season 4 because each season just gets worsts.
If it is the same quality as ANF, then fuck no.
Well if upper management keeps their retarded demands out of the developement and if they can get a few good writers onboard then, nejeeeaahmaybe..
The way things are going season 4 will have episodes with half an hour and more shitty writing with barely any gameplay. So no just end this already.
At this point, probably not. I get the feeling that we're running out of stories to tell.
I don't want ANF to be the end of the Walking Dead Game merely because it's an unsatisfactory product.
NotMySeason
uh...i didn't mean for that to turn huge lol.
Don't you mean...yuge.
I don't want another season. I want Season 3.
Let's see how this season ends before we start asking for a new one. But if there is to be a new one, let's all hope that Telltale doesn't make the same mistake again, that mistake being trying to appeal to newcomers and retain the old ones. Many of the issues related to this season, while also being a result of inept management, are almost entirely because of this. It's painfully obvious Clem is forced into the story, at the very least as a playable character, just to appease old fans and for marketing, and it's quite clear the story the writers wanted to tell was of Javi and his family. These are story driven games, so either continue the story you set out to tell with the same characters, or start over completely and tell the story of these new ones, don't idiotically blend the two. Otherwise, you're not going to get a good balance, new fans don't have the attachment to Clem and her problems, and old fans feel like they've been kicked in the balls and slapped in the face repeatedly as a reward for their loyalty.
I would like for there to be a new season, I really do. I love TWD, I love Telltale's games, and I love Telltale's TWD. However, if we can expect future installments to be anything like ANF, then I'm sorry, but I would rather see it end rather than continue.
No, this franchise has lost so much steam that there's no point in milking the cow.
I'm not sure telltale could legitimately make a valid S4 since they struggled to make ANF. To me I'd rather they just end the series on a good nod rather than drag a milked product far passed it's ending point. It also seems to me that a 4th installment is not a priority of telltale or even in consideration.
We already have season 3. Its called A New Frontier.
It depends on how they end this season. I personally like the idea of a three-part trilogy of their walking dead series, but I can be down for more if there is really more story to tell.
That is NOT Season 3. You know why? It's not Clementine's story, it's fucking Javier's.
I want to see an adult Clementine in the future raising her adopted teen son AJ.
Wether this is one of the further seasons or in the comics I don't care.
Clementine is involved in this Season, so it is Season 3 anyway.
But I understand you would like to play a next Season with a full playable Clementine.
I think this would be great.
A playable 15-year old Clem in Javi's New Frontier community with new adventures and raising a 4-year old AJ. Perhaps Javi will adopt her and AJ in the next season, and we will see Javi from Clementine's eyes based on season 3 decisions.
So Season 3 would have made any sense.
Yeah well season 1 was not Clementine's story, it was Lee's. Just because they changed the protagonist this time around does not discount it as a continuation.
Yes. I would play another season. Ideally I would want Clementine as the PC, but either way I would play another season.
Clementine was created before Lee. Her brother was supposed to be the main PC but scrapped and Lee took his place. It is not a continuation. This game starts with Javier, 42 Clementines don't exist and Kenny/Jane/Edith die like shit and don't affect the story AT ALL.
She is just there to attract the old players when this game is meant to be for the new players.
Well, they can change this in the next season.
I am hopeful this Season will build up a decent community of survivors for season 4.
There must be a reason Clementine met Javi.
Like the Cabin group of Season 2 left a baby boy behind for Clem.
The only reason Javi's in the story line at all is because they couldn't be bothered to continue the branching paths for S2 EP5 endings.
Heck you could argue ANF was only created to push away those endings.
And now they can fix this in a next season where we can play Clementine.
I would love to ser Javi from different eyes.
I thought Telltale said they created Javi to see Clementibe from diffetent eyes again, but anyway..
I think they actually said they created Javi because they wanted to introduce 'new comers' into the series. It's really odd to be playing a sequel before the originals. If it was actually their motive to do this, they did a pretty good job of ignoring their fans which the majority care about Clementine.
I don't think we have to play as Clementine although she should absolutely be a crucial role in this. ANF starts off with this completely random person who we've never heard of, met, cared about, ect... Basically they're trying to do a clean state which is the opposite of what they should be doing when in comes to existing choices. I suppose if they're doing a clean state they should be using Javier again for the next season to develop his character further or giving the role back to Clementine or actually putting both characters playable. ANF currently does not do this. Five minute flashbacks are not acceptable.
I'm not sure what Season 4 would be, but it doesn't really seem game worthy with how most if not all of the existing cast keeps being thrown off are forced into the determinant role. People are saying bringing back characters would be forced, but at the same time most of the characters are being thrown off. If ANF kills most of its cast like the two previous seasons, then it'll just be yet another recycle of random dudes A.K.A Javier syndrome.
I wouldn't object to a Season 4, but if it isn't a continuation and is meant for 'newcomers' then I would argue that it should start from the beginning of the outbreak.
As long as it has Clementine in it, hell yeah!
During Telltale's ama on reddit, they seemed up for it. Said they wanted the TWD partnership to continue for a very long time!
You are right.
Javi and Clem as switchable playable characters is fine too in a next season.
But I more like to play just one character in a season.
Clem would be nice again.
But around her new family: AJ and the Garcia's.
Ok...doesn't really change the fact that Lee WAS the main protagonist in the final product so...
42 Clementines? Also, Lee and Omid's death didn't affect the story of S2 at all, but we still count it as the second season. Also, there is no rule that to be counted as a continuation of something, that the main character of the previous season, has to be the main character of the following one. Few franchises have experimented with the structure of introducing a new central character with the next entry. ANF is just another case. Even if Clem is not the main character, there is a continuation of her story with AJ and the new frontier. Few of the times she is a playable character.
I guess we'll have to find out what the two final episodes have to offer before we can come to a consensus. So far I'm really disliking this multi-character decision. It's in this season for the wrong reasons.
Yes.
For some reason I got the feeling they are already working on a new project since the voice actress of Kate is still working on Kate.
And we know all episodes of Season 3 are finished..
I like the idea of Javi, Kate, Gabe and Clem being like Telltales version of the comic characters Rick, Andrea, Carl and Sophia as sole survivors.. but we will see how Season 3 ends.
Well I mean, all of those characters were pretty much originals. It'd be amazing if some of TTG original cast was still around (only Clementine is now)
We should forget about the season 1 cast.
I think the ANF cast have lots of potential, IF Telltale won't kill all of them too and leaving Clementine behind alone again...
This would be very boring and the only message will be again: this poor little Clementine always lose her loved ones in all Seasons.
I'm 80% sure most of the characters will end up dying. I'm 99.9% sure Joan will end up dying as well.
Very boring and chliche death of the villain when they give Joan just a cheap Norma 2.0 death.
I hope they do different with Joan, like Rick did with Negan in the comics: put him in jail.
Now they are supposed to be buddies lol.
If it's done the same way as ANF, no thank you.
Sure, Lee was the protagonist, but the main focus of the story was protecting Clementine, and her affecting your choices, so season 1 is still a story focused around Clem, in the form of her relationship with Lee
