Best of this season so far.
I'm bold enough to state that it was better than any episode in Season 2.
I gotta say, I've regained an inch of faith after reading that.
How the hell are you people rating an episode that is not out?
You know, for a second I expected people to start complaining but I was actually pretty surprised here. Thank god no more complaining in this forum.
Apparently it got leaked or some shit. I have no idea what's going on
No, Telltale always gives out early copies to YouTubers so that they can promote their games, and the YouTubers always end up making playthroughs of the game a day early before the actual release date.
Apparently, they can do this because Telltale haven't said anything of not making early playthroughs on YT.
That's so fucking bullshit. All they care is about milking in that extra money.
Unless they killed Conrad, then they had to replay episode 2 so they wouldn't get a shit episode 3 lol. GG TT.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Let's not get too optimistic.
Sigh..
Yeah, let's not. Just watch the forums host an absolute nutshit shitshow the day after it releases
I was just about the say the same thing.
I haven't seen all of the episode, but what I did see was very promising. Judging only by what I've seen so far, it's the best episode this Season, and actually good from an overall standpoint as well, not just when comparing it to the rest of ANF.
Hmm-mm?
I wonder who started this.
Well, to be fair, I was complaining about a character that I disliked in the game. Not the game itself.
And that's a good thing, because Telltale made me hate him on purpose.
Him? Ahhh, you gave a bit away
There is a 2:1 dick ratio. I think he's fine.
I rate it a 5/10. Though it's likely because I'm biased, I found the episode a little dull overall and somewhat frustrating to watch.
Granted, there were promising moments, so I can't outright hate it either.
Aaand I lost that inch of faith again.
You really don't need to do so based on my opinion.
You're welcome to judge the episode when you experience it for yourself.
Chances are, I won't be getting that faith back anyway. My expectations are pushed pretty damn low, but we'll see.
Well, I apologize for inadvertently making you feel disappointed.
No hard feelings man. As said, I probably won't get that faith back anyway
Well, characters are supposed to make this particular games like these, good.
How long is this episode?
Don't worry. They will tomorrow.
I haven't played it myself but according to the ones who watched that Let's Play it was about 90 minutes.
Another standard lenght, not important though. Hope at least Season finale will achieve lenght of 2 hours as Season 2 finale managed to.
4.5/10.
Kind of dull and painfully average.
8/10 Definitely the best episode! Had plenty of funny/awkward moments the narrative pacing was fast but, for once I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, Joan & Gabe could be written a tad better, but they copensated us with more Conrad. I adamantly like this guy. If only Nick could get half of his treatment. Prepare to sh!T your pants people.
It was released in Australia I think
Did you enjoy episode 3? Just curious how you felt previously.
7/10 better than the first two episodes, worse than episode 3.
Made a strawpoll for an easier estimate.
RATE EPISODE 4 - Thicker Than Water
I think you pointing out he said him spoiled it even more for me than how he did but I wasn't really focusing on his comment that much
I suppose I enjoyed it, but I wasn't too impressed by that episode.
I mean it was good compared to Ties That Bind 1 & 2 (which in my opinion, were awful), but it wasn't that great compared to the other episodes from the other seasons. But it definitely gave me a lot of hope towards the rest of the season.
And I was right. Episode 4 was very good. And I'm also fully expecting From The Gallows (Episode 5) to be even better.
8/10. Kinda surprised that this episode is so far the best one of this season.
6/10. What makes it better then the rest of Season 3, but its still with a lot of mistakes and stupidity. On the other hand, the ending was well-made, and that is the last impression you get.
I think I'm giving it a 9 myself. Easily my favorite of the season so far, and the episode had moments that made me feel the same way I did in the first two seasons. Dread, anticipation, tension, etc... It really felt like this episode was trying to go back to the roots of the first two seasons, in the sense of trying to recapture that oppressive atmosphere, and scenes of tension so thick, you could cut it with a steak knife. Bottom line, for me personally, it hit just about every stride I wanted it to. And further to Telltale's credit, they've been doing a pretty solid job in regards to how choices are handled. The way some of the events of not only the earlier episodes of this season, but of the seasons prior are referenced is quite interesting, and lends itself to the continuity of the game well. There was stuff getting mentioned that I didn't really think would be brought up again, but somehow, Telltale found a way to wrap things back around. That, and the way they handle choices made throughout this season thus far is also pretty good. Not entirely perfect, of course, but still pretty good. If there's one aspect Telltale's really picked up the slack on from the first two episodes, it'd be choice impacts.
I'll give it either an 8.5/10 or a 9/10. This episode was bloody brilliant!! Definitely the best of the season so far.
It had everything. I was excited the whole time I was playing it. Telltale has definitely saved this season from it's rough start.
