  • I stopped asking why the game is doing anything after the first episode, honestly. Terrible writing.

God, i really, REALLY don't like this, i don't even like Gabe. At least the game allows Javi to dislike it.

  • Sometimes I ship 'Gabentine', but shut the fuck up Kate.

  • I like Gabe but I don't like his ship with Clem. Telltale just couldn't put their first boy character into the game since Duck without making him a love interest.

They completely skip over all the things that make a relationship and expect us to think it's just cute. Clementine being comfortable enough to supposedly start a relationship with Gabriel goes against everything else she says about strangers, and Gabriel hasn't expressed anything but a desire to prove himself as a defender.

  • I haven't seen/played the episode yet, so I didn't know if that was something that happens or not.

  • im watching this episode right now and cringing so hard. what is this writing?

i remember when everyone laught at me when i said im not gonna buy season 3. where are you people now lol?

  • I'm noticing this trope lately.

When a series (like TV shows or cartoons) starts failing, they start shipping.

I stopped asking why the game is doing anything after the first episode, honestly. Terrible writing.

  • Yeah, I notice the dialogue feels stilted and/or awkward too.

  • Its not just that, its the way they immediately go for that. Anyone else
to remember The X Files? When people could write a decent story without immediately jumping to "hey, there's a girl and guy, they should bone before the seasons done!" Like actually build a relationship between the characters over the course of an extended story?

  • Okay, i'm only 20 minutes in right now and can I just preemptively say "Fuck Tripp?"

  • I hope Telltale realizes almost everybody doesn't like this ship, it's so cringey and out of character for Clementine. At least for the Javier x Kate thing, they stopped forcing it and made it determinate.

  • You sound confused about it :D

  • Yeah, because never before has he outright irritated me while I was going through an episode.

  • Haha, I'm guessing you're not finished it yet, though?

  • No. Just got to the scene with Lingard.

  • Alright. I kind of wanna see what you think of everything afterwards :)

  • K. Gotta go. My favorite character just left the screen and we're back in the office.

  • This has officially gone full stupid sappy soap opera.

  • honestly, it was pretty painful. pretty much all conversations involving kate are painful. trust that soppy cuntt to cheer on two hormonal adolescents.

  • I fully support this relationship!

  • Why?

Why do you support a forceful, empty relationship?

  • Fall in love with the person you've known for a few days?

    Yeah, sounds about right.

Who said it was a fact??

They knew each other for 3 days.

And all they did was praise each other, and and that's it.

How is that enough to be in a relationship?

It's like watching Korra all over again.

  • Pretty much this ^

  • I wish Mari wasn't 1000% dead so instead of a forced shipping arc we could've had Clementine just having a friend... y'know, TTG trying to fix the damage they did with Sarah's 'arc' in Season 2.

  • If he wants to ship it, he'll ship it. There's nothing you can do about it.

  • I love this back-&-forth paddling...

I will ask this again, without/somehow being blamed,

Why would anyone ship this? I need valid reasons.

  • Can these opinions and tastes be explained so they can be understood??

It doesn't work when you answer like "just cause".

  • No, they can't, because sometimes people just like something without valid reason. Chemistry in brain or whatever is to blame for that. Unbelievable as that may sound to you, it's how it is. There doesn't always have to be an explanation.

Oh whatever... I give up. Apparently, in todays world, liking something that you enjoy personally doesn't work, but instead it's just brain tricking you into liking it (?)

  • Look. I just know that people love different things. Who cares why? If they do, they do. They don't need to explain themselves to anyone. If you can't accept that people have different opinions than you, well whatever. I don't care. Bye.

    ;)
