Ironically it's not even the prospect of Gabentine is the reason I came to despise Gabe after this episode.
It's the fact he's a spoiled,… more selfish, hypocritical little brat who apparently has no good intentions like Ben did, Ben at least understood what was best for the group and kept quiet after he fucks up, Gabe just keeps going on and on and at least Ben wasn't a hypocrite.
"You fucking coward Javi! How could you!? How could you not shoot Conrad!?"
* 2 episodes later- (if you killed Conrad)
"All life is precious! How dare you say that, (after giving me some useful advice and showing you care about me) after you're the one that killed Conrad!"
Erm, wtf, shut up you little brat, also...
"How could Eleanor betray us like that!?"
Said Gabe, which I find hilariously ironic.
If this looks disorganized it's because I had already typed a HUGE reason for Gabe and why he acts, but I'm on mobile and once I switched to another tab, I lost all of it
I honestly think that the writers wanted to show that your choices come back to bite you. But if shoot Conrad, you can tell by looking at Gabe's face knowing that he wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. And I think Tripp deserved to know the truth as well. But it didn't make sense for Gabe to just randomly say that Javier shot Conrad knowing Tripp's presence. But if you don't shoot Conrad and accept his plan Gabe complains to Javier not knowing how it turns out later on. But I don't blame Gabe for how he acts. People complain about him because he complains that he can do more. But this a trait he picks up from his dad, David. David always got mad and jealous at Javier because of how good he was at baseball. Another reason people hate him is because he doesn't do much. I wouldn't blame Gabe for what he couldn't do but I do and still blame Javier and Kate for holding him and Mari back over the years in the apocalypse when they could have been training them to become better. And another reason why people dislike Gabe is because of him and Clementine. People are saying that he will get Clementine killed if he is with her but Hasn't Clementine already been through worst? For example Sarah was disfuntional and that could've got Clementine killed. But she manged to not only survive with her, but also managed to make her better prepared. And I'm glad Gabe was making Clementine happy in this episode. If he was dead, who would have brightened up her day like he did? I don't mind Gabe being together with Clementine and it's always good to have a friend like that who will brighten up your day during a bad time in the apocalypse. I'm not saying they should be together but at least he is there for Clem. People may have not noticed but Gabe has been doing more better each episode after the one before. Gabe has potential and I guarantee that we will see more of it in the next episode (unless they kill him off).
Jesus bloody Krist, (my uppercase c isn't working) I actually supported Gabe before, I promised we'd save David, that we'd get out of this together, helped him all the way and THIS is how he repays me? Fuck you Gabriel. I sincerely hope you enjoy what little time you have left. Because I'm done wasting my time for you.
Yeah I didn't mind him in the previous episodes, but after this one... Fuck him.
I would hope he dies, but that might hurt Clem, so idk. If he makes it, he better grow the fuck up.
And please TT, Clementine can do SO much better. They might be the same age, but he really is just a little kid, she has grown up.
I'm pretty sure if Gabe died at this point, Clem wouldn't really bat much of an eye at it. They've only known each other for a handful of days. Most of the people she really let get close to her are long gone at this point, and after all the death and nasty shit she's been through, Clem's probably got nerves of steel.
Hell, for better or worse, I think she's adapted to this world more than any of the adults have.
Yeah I didn't mind him in the previous episodes, but after this one... Fuck him.
I would hope he dies, but that might hurt Clem, so idk. If… more he makes it, he better grow the fuck up.

He's got David's ADHD, that's for sure. He's also a teenager and they tend to do a lot stupid and reckless things. I wanted to punch him in that moment but right now I think it stayed in the character and was really in point, especially because it made the story much more interesting, with Tripp finally finding out the truth.

Gabe is the prime example of what it looks like when "soft-parenting" fails. Some children seem to need a slap to the face in order to set them back on the right path.
I had been pretty damn neutral about Gabe's character. But now? Heck I am joining the Gabe's hatewagon. Seriously, it is bad when I want my own nephew to die. If he dies in the final episode, I don't think I will feel a shred of guilt.
No joke - I actually wanted an option like that this episode after seeing how he ruined everything towards the end of the Episode (for players who killed Conrad).
Nothing much changes apart from the fact that Gabe doesn't mention you shooting him, then Conrad tries to leave, comes back at the end of the episode to save the day and then has another determinant death.
That's it. After this episode, I really hope he fucking dies. The crush in episode 4 is giving me nightmares and this little piece of shit sold me out to Tripp. He needs to FUCKING DIE.
The way I see it Gabe betrayed Javi's trust and (if Conrad was killed) it is heavily implied that's the reason Eleanor betrays the group, so really Gabe being unable to keep his mouth shut on this "opinion" led to that.
But where Conrad lives, fair enough, they could have given more of an explanation of why Eleanor decided do that considering Conrad's alive, but y'know...
Also it's just the fact it may be different, it's just the fact it had to be him of everyone who had to say that word "betrayed" when that's exactly how we all felt about him.

She still betrays them, they are not mad at javi and they just begin talking about the plan like normal, then Gabe tries to get involved so I let him so he could impress clem but I assume that part is the same if Conrad is dead as well as alive.

I'm not actually sure she fully betrayed them. I think Joan threatened to kill everybody in her group: javi, Gabe, clem, Kate, Tripp especially, in my case Conrad. But I guess we'll never know until episode 5. Have you also noticed how Kate doesn't seem to be suffering that much from her bullet wound in this episode but at the end if the 3rd one she was?
Eh, now that you mention it.. yeah, looks like a n oversight to me. I also wonder if Telltale forgot about Max as well or if he plays a role in episode 5.

Conrad had a justified reason to hold Gabe as a hostage. Gabe threatened to shoot Conrad fucking earlier because he pointed his finger at his Uncle Javi. Also why the fuck are you defending Gabe all of a sudden? I thought you hated Gabe.
I dont hate Gabe, I hate the way he is written, I hate the fact that he acts like a whiny teenager with no regard for the fact that everyone he loves could die at any time
Pointing a gun at someone the way Gabe did is different, people hold guns at each other all the time in the Walking Dead, its an effective way of preventing things from escalating, that doesnt mean I think Gabe did the right thing, I think what he did was stupid.
I will also readily admit that the main reason why I shot Conrad is for Clementine, but I think shooting Conrad, and Conrad wanting to take Clem hostage are both unjustifiable, Conrad knows nothing of why Clem was in the new frontier, he holds her responsible for Francines death, just by association, and frankly I dont like to associate with people who wants to bargain with 13 year olds, video game or not

All Gabe did was give his opinion on something Eleanor straight up betrayed the group to Joan it's completely different
If this looks disorganized it's because I had already typed a HUGE reason for Gabe and why he acts, but I'm on mobile and once I switched to another tab, I lost all of it

If you spare Conrad
If you kill Conrad
Yeah I didn't mind him in the previous episodes, but after this one... Fuck him.

Why isn't there a [slap that lil' shit] option?

Cmon he don't need to die because of one mistake
I actually said this out loud
I honestly thought the entire episode that he would get my boy Conrad killed. At least he does side with you at the end.
Gabe is the prime example of what it looks like when "soft-parenting" fails. Some children seem to need a slap to the face in order to set them back on the right path.
How does the scene even turn out if someone didn't kill Conrad?
I like Gabe.
I had been pretty damn neutral about Gabe's character. But now? Heck I am joining the Gabe's hatewagon. Seriously, it is bad when I want my own nephew to die. If he dies in the final episode, I don't think I will feel a shred of guilt.

FUCk man you killed me i wish if you saw me when i readed your comment.
Man stop it you are killing me
I didn't expect myself to end up like that but I did, Gabe is the first kid that I hope dies.
Fuck Gabe.

Javi's so angry with Gabe that his face is melting
I just can't hate a child. I tore into him every chance I got, but I forgave him when we had to push the truck,
Thank you for the quick respone. So.. then Eleanor and Tripp have no reason to be mad at Javier, right? Does she still betray all of them?
She still betrays them, they are not mad at javi and they just begin talking about the plan like normal, then Gabe tries to get involved so I let him so he could impress clem but I assume that part is the same if Conrad is dead as well as alive.
Gabe is basically an arrogant Ben. He shouldn't be in the spotlight or take over the reigns from Javier or Clementine.
Seeing this for the first time.
Has just made me hate Gabe more than I already do
Also slap that lil' shit option for episode 5 anyone?
The fuq? xD
Eleanor makes even less sense then. This part is so much garbage, really.
Everyone was a prick in this episode, except from the person I expect it from (Kate.) Fuck Eleanor/Tripp/Gabe.
I have a feeling Telltale is just gonna kill Gabe off from all the hate he's receiving. Pretty much the only way to please those who hate him.
Amen to that
Gabe was nice in my playgame.
Perhaps you chose rude lines in conversations with Gabe?
Gabe even apologised for doing stupid things.
Eh, now that you mention it.. yeah, looks like a n oversight to me. I also wonder if Telltale forgot about Max as well or if he plays a role in episode 5.
And he didn't trust Clem because she belonged to the same group of the men who killed his wife.
In episode 3 he apologised.
He always finds excuses to take back what he has done. I've done everything for him to stay alive and this is how he repays me.
Conrad had a justified reason to hold Gabe as a hostage. Gabe threatened to shoot Conrad fucking earlier because he pointed his finger at his Uncle Javi. Also why the fuck are you defending Gabe all of a sudden? I thought you hated Gabe.

I never laughed and facepalmed so much before
