  • This choice destroyed me. I've loved Tripp since episode 1 but Ava won me over in so short a time. That Clem flashback was beautiful, plus she was close friends with David. I tried to save Ava but then fucking Joan! Ugh how could she do this? I was so emotional after that.

Tripp flips out at you this episode for killing conrad (I.e saving gabe and clementine from a nutter) and says he'll kill you and doesnt want to see you again. Plus at the end it appears like he betrays you like eleanor, not sure if thats the case but it at least looked that way to me first time

    Why do you hate Tripp?

  • Tripp being angry about you killing one of the very few friends he has left is perfectly understandable. Any reasons you had for killing Conrad would be hard to believe. As Tripp said Conrad isn't around to tell his side of things. And I'm not sure why you'd think Tripp betrayed you because that certainly did not happen.

  • I know! I was the same!!

Now Tripp completely hates me because I shot his friend and was going to let him get killed.

  • Well thankfully for me I didn't kill his friend. :p

He still feels betrayed but take what you can get.

  • Uuggghhh. I regret that choice so much!!

Well, I guess that's what alternate gamefiles are for.

Yeah, admittedly, his part in all that was very unclear. As far as I could tell, Eleanor tried to convince him and Ava to surrender when Joan's thugs showed up after she contacted her, but they didn't cooperate.

  • Because that's a great way to cater to a floundering consumer base. Or maybe it's the opposite. It's one of those, though.

I guess it's what people get for saying choices don't matter. I can see telltale shouting up yours, douchebags! While flipping us off. You think that choice was only there because fans were saying those things about the choices not mattering?

  • It'd be pretty hard to believe someone shot a guy who pointed a gun at two kids in a stupid rage, before demanding you agree to hand over one of said kids as a hostage to a hostile group in exchange for help, or he'll shoot the other kid in the head while you watch, then likely you and the last witness? Ok. Also, he's seriously pressing the issue now, when he saw Javier leave the tunnel minus that good friend from his community, and his response to whatever excuse you give is "you're the boss" before blindly following your lead up until now? Really? I'm glad it was finally addressed, but holy shit, what a contrived way to work it in after happening and not being questioned days ago.

  • They'll all die ultimately making the choice pointless anyways.

  • It's something. I still think it's a way of telling fans to shut the fuck up with the negativity. If it is it's fracking genius.
