Tripps Reaction {Spoilers}

Anyone else enjoyed the priceless reaction from Tripp when you chose him to get killed :D
I think you will only get a different reaction if you did not kill conrad ?

  • I don't know. I was too busy looking at the bullet being put in his neck.

  • "That's the Javi I know. Fucking back-stabbing son of a bitch!"

Is that how it went? I loved it. As much as it made me feel terrible... But then Ava got shot instead...

Yeah, he has two different lines depending on whether or not you killed Conrad.

If you killed him-- "There's the Javi I know! Back-stabbing, double-crossing, no good dirty fuckin' murderer!"

If Conrad is alive-- "I fucking trusted you, Javi. And now you're throwing me under the bus? You go to hell."

  • I believe this choice should've had consequences, such as shooting Ava would cause general protest and the crowd would've gone mad, blindly storming gallows and then proceed to tear Joan to pieces for killing one of them, a fellow and loyal companion. On the other hand, shooting Tripp should've caused Eleanor (or Conrad) to flip her shit and outright shoot Joan.

  • I just found so fucking funny that even after I killed Conrad and chose to "save" Ava, Tripp still said he would cover me when I dashed to help Clem. lel

  • I just think that's because he seems to be a nice person.

Plus, he's probably grateful that you didn't pick him.

  • Is nobody gonna talk about the possibility that Tripp might still be alive if he was shot? I mean my Tripp was pretty alive after Joan shot him.

  • I mean, for all he knows I wanted him to die (since I chose to "save" Ava over him, but Joan just killed Ava anyway). But yeah, I agree that he's a nice person and he probably only covered Javi so he could save Clem... but I still think its kinda funny that he would actually cover us in that situation xD

  • After he got shot on the neck, I doubt he stayed alive for more than 1 minute.

  • Well, I'm gonna stick to Telltale's logic - if I didn't see them die, then they are probably still alive. :D

After he got shot on the neck, I doubt he stayed alive for more than 1 minute.

  • I assume that if Conrad dies in Episode 3, then Tripp will say "you're throwing me under the bus" line, correct?

  • I replayed to get him killed. I like Ava more. Does Elleanor still expect me to choose Tripp and then she acts super surprised on why I chose to kill Tripp

Tripp easily forgives peoples for their mistakes as Eleanor mentioned before.
    He won't backstab Javi.

  • Perhaps Eleanor fixed him quickly.

  • It did seem weird how when crap started to fly the camera moved back to Tripp and he kinda moved, thus lead to me thinking he was alive before blood promptly started flowing everywhere.

  • When making the choice between him or Ava. The little timer part. I could swear he says something like "do the right thing". Wonder what he meant by that then?

Then why did he go on a tirade on Javier then say he never wanted to speak to Javier ever again if he's the easily forgiving type?

    Inconsistent writing is inconsistent writing.

  • Yes. Tripp's only pissed at Javi if he shot his friend in the face, Javi isn't responsible for Conrad's death in Episode 3.

  • With this logic many people could be still alive, like Matthew when he fell down from the bridge, Omid (perhaps he just fainted) or Bonnie (maybe she found another opening and got out of that water). No body no confirmation rule.

Quite frankly, if I was in a situation where some guy had to pick between me or someone else, especially if I just chewed the guy out and told him off a couple hours ago, I'd be trying to convince him to save me, too.

  • Did she now? Guess there is an explanation then.

    Uh, yeah, no.

  • I don't think he knows yet, since he shows up during the smoke section

  • Tripp's reaction was one of my favorite moments of the episode. I shot Conrad and tried to save Ava so he really hates me. I know how the s1 Kenny haters felt... having a poor determinant relationship is cool. I really don't know what to expect from him next.

  • Just as Tripp surviving his neck shot :> Even his badass beard wasn't enough to save him.

Because he killed his best friend. How would you react if someone you trusted killed your best friend?
Tripp needed a little time to get over this shit is all.
Doesn't matter Javi had a good reason or not.
It wouldn't be realistic if Tripp just let this go like nothing.

  • But Tripp does practically let this go like nothing right afterwards EVEN when you choose Ava over him during the trial.

  • He might keep living for a bit, but I also don't think(or hope) he'll pull through. Still, that beats literally gargling from a rifle wound and toppling off a bridge, either dying from the fall or drowing in the river below.

  • He seems pretty alive tho, hes still moving after being shot

  • I'm not a big fan of Tripp's attitude. That's why I'm glad Ava's alive in my game.

After Ava there was no time to be angry.
A war broke out and to survive he knew he gonna need Javi.
He should finally grateful Javi chose Ava. This saved Tripps life.

Tripp is just a level headed person.
